I never notice the damage difference between the bows, so I suggest getting the Improved Bow for that extra range to avoid spooking animals more often.
@@Captain_Glueyeah it does. It’s a broken mechanic because they’ll act as if you just fired a rifle. Same with your horse if you shoot an arrow near it.
I still remember when i selected paint it black but i forgot to equip it because I thought it'll equip itself automatically and I played without deadeye for like 30 levels
Thank you for this video, very well done! As a lvl 200+ who has played since the beginning of RDO I've been helping a friend and random low levels with high level bounties to take advantage of the bonuses and tips and tricks. This is an excellent video to share with them.
Just did the same. I was coming out of a legendary and saw a random waving at me. Ran an infamous and $$$ bounty for them...made them about $100. Not much but at lvl 12 that's not terrible. Might have been more but he shot the bounty in the infamous!
Wish I woulda seen this vid when I got started, brings back good memories of riding with my old crew in our early days of RDO when we were all figuring out the game. Most are now retired from the game but I keep hanging on teaching my son, then my nephew and now my wife the ropes of the game!
What i learned as a newbie in RDRO: 1. All weapons except for endgame weapons are a waste of not just your money, but also time... Save up for LeMat revolvers, first and foremost, they are, not just Revolvers with a lot of ammo, they are also shotguns... Dual wielding LeMats roughly equals out to a Double-barrel shotgun. When fully mastered and using the Gunslingers Choice card (Fully Leveled), the LeMat is just as powerful and accurate as a Navy Revolver, and basically just as powerful as a Double-barrel shotgun... What this means is that, if you use LeMat, you don't NEED to carry a shotgun on your person, which opens up a weapon slot for, well anything you want, really, a bow for instance. Carcano Rifle is your next goal, after LeMat... It's not as powerful as The Rolling Block, but it shoots over twice as fast, so it's total DPS output is, well, over twice the amount of Rolling Block, they're both equally accurate and have the same range. :P 2. Do NOT buy Nacogdoches saddle, you |get a whole lot of stamina consumption reduction, but nothing else... Due to the tipping point principle, Upland Saddle is good enough on that front, as long as you keep pushing the button to calm your horse down, you essentially have infinite stamina on any horse using the upland saddle, it also gives reduced core drains to a significantly higher degree than Nacodoches... meaning you benefit more from Upland Saddle, overall. In short, Upland Saddle is the best saddle in the game, anyone who tries to dispute that is a mathematically illiterate idiot, and you should ignore them. :P 3. Horse stats, while they do matter, pale in comparison to HANDLING and BRAVERY... Handling determines the speed of, and responsiveness of horse controls... Being able to turn around on a dime, is INVALUABLE... And Bravery determines how much it takes for your horse to get spooked and throw you off and run away. Handling is a visible quality, and the "Elite" handling, is the best one... Bravery is not a visible quality, so unless you know how brave each horse breed is, it's pretty much a gamble on which horse to buy... You'll be glad to know that, even if you did choose a cowardly horse breed, they do get braver when you increase your bond with them. My advice? Buy an Arabian, buy the cheapest Arabian, and you are basically set for the rest of the game. I chose to buy a Black Arabian, which is basically an upgrade for the cheapest arabian in terms of Health, though whether it's worth the cost of 42 gold bars, that's for you to decide, the cheap arabian is just a few hundred dollars, huge value for the money... Considering you get Elite handling with it. :) 4. Any build you might be thinking about? Worthless in the face of the S-tier build that everyone else is using... Wanna be tougher and take more hits? Too bad, you'll die instantly anyway, due to other people using the paint-it-black build (AKA, High Noon Build, based on McCree's Ultimate in Overwatch), which consists of "Live for the Fight" and "The Unblinking Eye" with "Paint it black" and either "Gunslinger's Choice" or "Kick in the Butt", whichever takes your fancy, i would advise Gunslinger's Choice as relying on being hit to succeed is a recipe for failure. 5. As a free-aim player, you're shoved into the same lobby as the people using auto-aim... So basically your experience in PvP is going to be similar to the experience of a regular honest PC player playing in a lobby full of aimbots, it's not fun. xD The devs really should've given Free-Aimers their own servers, lmao.
10:00 Let's aware people that ammo pamphlet is only worth for shotgun to increase amount of buckshots, others are complete waste of money as no one will ever use again regular ammo if unlocking express/splitpoint or high velocity ! Especially for PvP. I bought them at first thinking it would increase my special ammo carry capacity... I have been very dissapointed !!!

I think the bounty hunter is the way to go for beginners, is full pve and also gives gold, maybe it doesn't gives as much money as the collector but the possibility to get gold for almost free is op
I've been eying up bounty hunter but it takes so long to earn 15 gold. How much gold does it give compared to other missions like blood money which give between 0.10-0.30 per mission?
@@Streetw1s3r there's has a catch, I mean, if you do the missions fast you'll get between .8 to .10 (the free roam missions and most of them have a limit of like 8 minutes) but if you wait till the last minutes to finish the mission you'll get from .15 to .20 and those are the $$$ bounties if you go for a legendary bounty (there's one that is absurdly easy) those give you from .35 to .40 (maybe .48 but I'm not so sure, haven't played in a while)
@@Streetw1s3r basically, if you prestige it you get the infamous bounties that are a series of bounties that once you complete the you can get 1.3 gold bars (I think it's a lot more but I can't remember)

In contrast, ive seen earlier this video from that russian guy nfrkz or whatever his name is of him talking about what companies stopped working with russia and he was crying about how he won't be able to get any iPhones and go to IKEA anymore.. He even said hes "not starving or anything, im just down bad" multiple times throughout his past few videos but went on to beg for donations anyway and posted links to his bitcoin wallet for that 😭😭 And here we have pvp cat collecting donations for children yesterday and making good guides for beginners in rdo

I've been playing for a few days only, and I already got almost a top tier stats horse, after having the free beginning one. And I can't agree with the "stats don't make a difference" the extreme upgrade in my gameplay that this horse gave me is incredible, travelling on the beginners horse was so boring, long and counter intuitive, but this new one makes it really fun to travel and I actually stopped doing fast travel unless I had to go to the other side of the map.

The best thing to buy. Like 1ST THING TO BUY is a fishing rod. Go fishing it will give u health so instead of leveling up slowly and slowly getting more health u can just go fishing for 2hrs and get it to 100%. This way u can pvp at a low rank
One thing you forgot to mention. If new players have gta online and obtained the Navy Revolver and completed the challenge. Then you get the Lowry's Revolver which is a free Navy Revolver.

When I was a beginner I really had the Nacogdoches saddle on every horse...but it's one of the ugliest saddles in the game...now I only use saddles that fit the horses and look good... You can't go wrong with a good-looking special saddle either
I recommend getting iron lung and fool me once at level 10 and 20 until you can get strange medicine, eye for an eye and cold blooded. Since you won’t have max health/many health tonics early on, the extra defense can help out. Good video though ❤️
If love to be a new player just about to experience this whole game again. Unfortunately I, like a lot, am a veteran. I finally put the game away just before Xmas. I keep hoping that something new will come out for this game.
Same, I gave up hope around Christmas and uninstalled. I just couldn't keep a 100+ GB game there when I wasn't playing it regularly anymore. The last few times I logged in I just felt really sad about Rockstar's abandonment of the game, and after a few minutes pottering about logged out again, often without even doing a daily chore, I mean challenge. They just started to feel like chores when there was no reason to do them. On the plus side, not playing RDO gave me the opportunity to play many other great games including the Watchdogs series, some of the earlier Assassin Creeds that I missed, etc. I still have GTAV installed, but that might come off my hard drive soon too.

True bolt action rifle is good for hunting but sometimes with dead eye u accidentally put 2 shots in a deer and it becomes poor quality I said Springfield rifle is good for hunting and a powerful weapon bolt action rifle is amazing for pvp
I wouldn't recommend anyone strugging for cash buy a replacement for either the Cattleman or the Carbine. They're not superb weapons, to be sure, but the marginal benefit a Navy or Lancaster give you isn't really worth it, when money is tight. I would also not blow money on Ability Cards, just get by with the free stuff until you have excess money. Instead, money should be focused on the means to *earn* money, namely unlocks for your roles, like the better wagon for your Trader, the better still for your Moonshiner. It's not that ability cards aren't good, it's just that, like with your starter weapons, the marginal benefit you'll get is very low relative to the cash paid. If you play smart and learn to fight without leaning on Deadeye, you'll be a far better player. You're right on the money wth the value of a good saddle and stirrups, as well as the utterly meaningless distinctions in horse stats. Bounty Hunter is also the best starter role pick, it's fun, it pays Gold, and will get you most swiftly the money to afford other roles. I actually think the Collector is the *worst* role to take, it has very little money-making potential unless you devote yourself full-time to collecting, which isn't going to earn Gold, which is the real gating resource in this game, not cash.
I personally think the naturalist saddle is the best one in the game because you can add the best stirrups in the game, but also it will regain its steam and health a hell of a lot quicker than the saddle pvp cat was talking about! I’ve done testing on both of them and it’s not that the one PVP cat was saying is bad it’s just the naturalist is way better!
After experimentation Upland saddles is the best not naccodoges, simply because you have 65 stamina reduction witch is enough to run unlimited, but you have high core reduction unlike naccodoges, combine with Gus amulet on core usage reduction, and you have basically the same as naccodoges but you will barely feed you're horse :D
I've been playing since beta days but I never play constantly so I am hardly level 25, a lot of stuff is still level locked. duel wielding was a blessing from the Lord. I never bought a new horse so he's not amazingly fast but I aways use the speed tonics, glad you made this video it's very informative. A lot of stuff I thought wasn't necessary but I guess some of it is but beyond expensive, and redo is painfully slow on leveling up.
something i recommend doing is going to gta online(if you have it) finding the clues for the los santos killer, then getting his navy revolver, then you can go to red dead and get lowreys revolver for almost free on gta. :)
Bolt action rifle I’d recommend for any new player is a must, it’s the most versatile weapon, good damage, you can put a scope on it and act as a sniper type, great for anything really, even pvp
Get the bolt action rifle with the medium scope, you can lock on targets to see how many stars then use scope for kill, get the varmint rifle without scope it's not needed. Forget getting new revolvers, repeaters, shotguns, sniper rifles or the bow and arrow for now. The carbine works fine for pve with paint it black. Get the free paint it black card and master using it, forget the other ability cards they sound great but they don't make that much difference for new players.
acceleration matters, determines how fast your horse reaches top speed. Handling is probably the most important quality of a horse though... Let's just say i'm not interested in any horse that doesn't have the best handling... Being able to turn on a dime, and quickly dodge traffic is the msot essential part of your horse. There's another stat that isn't shown though, let's call it "bravery"... Some horses do not get spooked by predators at all, some horses throw you off an run away at the mere SIGHT of a predator far in the distance. A horse gets braver the closer your bond with it is, but each horse breed has it's own default bravery value, so there's a variable minimum and maximum bravery for each horse breed. My horse of choice is Black Arabian, jack of all trades, master of none... Well, maybe it is a master of handling, but nothing else... Best horse in the game, imho.... Not the bravest, but brave enough, not the fastest, but fast enough, not the toughest, but tough enough... Handles like a dream. :)

When i upgraded to the cheap arabian, not thye black one, from my starting horse, there was a MASSIVE difference in handling. And, it's not exactly called "bravery", i only used that word because it's the msot appropriate one given what it does.... And it's definitely a thing. :P My first horse, didn't get spooked unless a predator actually hit it... My Black Arabian, freaks out when predators get within a 5 meter radius... 100% a thing, bro.
Pump action and Varnint rifle was free for me. Started 2 days ago and already unlocked Bounty Hubter and bought one of the fastest horse in the game (didn’t know that stats don’t matter than). Just resist wasting money on any non necessary stuff

We started new characters in Jan. by end of Feb we were at level 220. chose collector first. by doing so we replayed LOO missions and collected while we waited the 30 minutes for max payout. then took all the single items to Nazar. Rinse and repeat until you get trader, naturalist ( for fast travel) bounty hunter, moonshiner, bounty #2. in that order.
This is also good to remind veterans, who have gotten hacked since Rockstar will delete your character and put you back to square one even though you did nothing because Rockstar does not care about their customers.
I recommend grinding to $275 and buying the navy revolver immediately. Yes you can make do with the cattleman but the higher end revolvers (scofeild, kenaf, and navy) are just so much better. It’s worth it.
Pump shotgun is a must, both in the game and IRL. It has unbelievable stopping power. I use it all the time in both PvP and PvE. In PvE, it lets you clear large groups of enemies super fast, and you can become a powerhouse by using the "Quite an Inspiration," "Horseman," "Unblinking Eye," and "Iron Lung" ability cards. This makes you deal out a ton of damage while taking less damage when mounted, and it also makes your deadeye last longer as well as heal yourself and your allies during deadeye. You can clear gang hideouts, checkpoints, etc. blindingly fast this way. To top it off, with slugs in it, the pump is a 1-shot-stop to the boiler room of a grizzly bear in the event you need immediate defense, as seen here: ruclips.net/video/kXHXjJrkQJs/видео.html The incendiary rounds are superb for PvE mounted opponents chasing you (super useful in the train legendary bounty mission). I have yet to unlock the explosive slugs, but I'd be willing to bet they are seriously OP.
You can get free varmint rifle, pump action shotgun and volcanic pistols for free if you have special or ultimate edition. For story mode and online mode.
If you buy the ultimate edition you get the varmit rifle, pump shotgun, and the volcanic pistol free at any gun shop in both story mode and online. If you can get it on sale the ultimate edition is worth buying

the never without one perk card is very good too, it blocks you from getting headshotted if you are wearing a hat
I like the Auto Shotty. I keep it for bear, cat, and wolf attacks. Its 5 shots without having to pump. Saved me from countless beasts.

You loose everything, you only keep your cash and gold... Outlaw pass items, limited time clothing will be deleted, just make a new email and create another account ;)

I've been playing for a few days only, and I already got almost a top tier stats horse, after having the free beginning one. And I can't agree with the "stats don't make a difference" the extreme upgrade in my gameplay that this horse gave me is incredible, travelling on the beginners horse was so boring, long and counter intuitive, but this new one makes it really fun to travel and I actually stopped doing fast travel unless I had to go to the other side of the map.

The best thing to buy. Like 1ST THING TO BUY is a fishing rod. Go fishing it will give u health so instead of leveling up slowly and slowly getting more health u can just go fishing for 2hrs and get it to 100%. This way u can pvp at a low rank
One thing you forgot to mention. If new players have gta online and obtained the Navy Revolver and completed the challenge. Then you get the Lowry's Revolver which is a free Navy Revolver.

When I was a beginner I really had the Nacogdoches saddle on every horse...but it's one of the ugliest saddles in the game...now I only use saddles that fit the horses and look good...
You can't go wrong with a good-looking special saddle either

I recommend getting iron lung and fool me once at level 10 and 20 until you can get strange medicine, eye for an eye and cold blooded. Since you won’t have max health/many health tonics early on, the extra defense can help out. Good video though ❤️
If love to be a new player just about to experience this whole game again. Unfortunately I, like a lot, am a veteran. I finally put the game away just before Xmas.
I keep hoping that something new will come out for this game.
Same, I gave up hope around Christmas and uninstalled. I just couldn't keep a 100+ GB game there when I wasn't playing it regularly anymore. The last few times I logged in I just felt really sad about Rockstar's abandonment of the game, and after a few minutes pottering about logged out again, often without even doing a daily chore, I mean challenge. They just started to feel like chores when there was no reason to do them.
On the plus side, not playing RDO gave me the opportunity to play many other great games including the Watchdogs series, some of the earlier Assassin Creeds that I missed, etc.
I still have GTAV installed, but that might come off my hard drive soon too.
@@ziploc2000 yeah totally agree. Log in, get bored after half hour, log out. I moved on to ac Valhalla. I'm hoping gta expanded will be good but I'm not holding out much hope. They should've concentrated on RDR2 and pushed for developing GTA 6 .

True bolt action rifle is good for hunting but sometimes with dead eye u accidentally put 2 shots in a deer and it becomes poor quality I said Springfield rifle is good for hunting and a powerful weapon bolt action rifle is amazing for pvp

I wouldn't recommend anyone strugging for cash buy a replacement for either the Cattleman or the Carbine. They're not superb weapons, to be sure, but the marginal benefit a Navy or Lancaster give you isn't really worth it, when money is tight.
I would also not blow money on Ability Cards, just get by with the free stuff until you have excess money. Instead, money should be focused on the means to *earn* money, namely unlocks for your roles, like the better wagon for your Trader, the better still for your Moonshiner. It's not that ability cards aren't good, it's just that, like with your starter weapons, the marginal benefit you'll get is very low relative to the cash paid. If you play smart and learn to fight without leaning on Deadeye, you'll be a far better player.
You're right on the money wth the value of a good saddle and stirrups, as well as the utterly meaningless distinctions in horse stats. Bounty Hunter is also the best starter role pick, it's fun, it pays Gold, and will get you most swiftly the money to afford other roles. I actually think the Collector is the *worst* role to take, it has very little money-making potential unless you devote yourself full-time to collecting, which isn't going to earn Gold, which is the real gating resource in this game, not cash.

I personally think the naturalist saddle is the best one in the game because you can add the best stirrups in the game, but also it will regain its steam and health a hell of a lot quicker than the saddle pvp cat was talking about! I’ve done testing on both of them and it’s not that the one PVP cat was saying is bad it’s just the naturalist is way better!

pump shotgun is the best tbh, its the cool factor for me; when you aim it pumps and it just sounds satisfying AF
After experimentation Upland saddles is the best not naccodoges, simply because you have 65 stamina reduction witch is enough to run unlimited, but you have high core reduction unlike naccodoges, combine with Gus amulet on core usage reduction, and you have basically the same as naccodoges but you will barely feed you're horse :D

I've been playing since beta days but I never play constantly so I am hardly level 25, a lot of stuff is still level locked. duel wielding was a blessing from the Lord. I never bought a new horse so he's not amazingly fast but I aways use the speed tonics, glad you made this video it's very informative. A lot of stuff I thought wasn't necessary but I guess some of it is but beyond expensive, and redo is painfully slow on leveling up.

something i recommend doing is going to gta online(if you have it) finding the clues for the los santos killer, then getting his navy revolver, then you can go to red dead and get lowreys revolver for almost free on gta. :)
Make sure you buy the lock breaker, extremely importantly. It helps to waste time and money

Bolt action rifle I’d recommend for any new player is a must, it’s the most versatile weapon, good damage, you can put a scope on it and act as a sniper type, great for anything really, even pvp
Get the bolt action rifle with the medium scope, you can lock on targets to see how many stars then use scope for kill, get the varmint rifle without scope it's not needed. Forget getting new revolvers, repeaters, shotguns, sniper rifles or the bow and arrow for now. The carbine works fine for pve with paint it black. Get the free paint it black card and master using it, forget the other ability cards they sound great but they don't make that much difference for new players.

acceleration matters, determines how fast your horse reaches top speed.
Handling is probably the most important quality of a horse though... Let's just say i'm not interested in any horse that doesn't have the best handling... Being able to turn on a dime, and quickly dodge traffic is the msot essential part of your horse.
There's another stat that isn't shown though, let's call it "bravery"... Some horses do not get spooked by predators at all, some horses throw you off an run away at the mere SIGHT of a predator far in the distance. A horse gets braver the closer your bond with it is, but each horse breed has it's own default bravery value, so there's a variable minimum and maximum bravery for each horse breed.
My horse of choice is Black Arabian, jack of all trades, master of none... Well, maybe it is a master of handling, but nothing else... Best horse in the game, imho.... Not the bravest, but brave enough, not the fastest, but fast enough, not the toughest, but tough enough... Handles like a dream. :)

Hard disagree.... When i upgraded to the cheap arabian, not thye black one, from my starting horse, there was a MASSIVE difference in handling.
And, it's not exactly called "bravery", i only used that word because it's the msot appropriate one given what it does.... And it's definitely a thing. :P
My first horse, didn't get spooked unless a predator actually hit it... My Black Arabian, freaks out when predators get within a 5 meter radius... 100% a thing, bro.

Pump action and Varnint rifle was free for me. Started 2 days ago and already unlocked Bounty Hubter and bought one of the fastest horse in the game (didn’t know that stats don’t matter than). Just resist wasting money on any non necessary stuff
only Online vets remember when the Varmint rifle was the best gun to use during pvp
10:00 Ammo pamphlet is only worth for shotgun to increase amount of buckshots, others are complete waste of money as no one will ever use again regular ammo if unlocking express/splitpoint or high velocity !

We started new characters in Jan. by end of Feb we were at level 220. chose collector first. by doing so we replayed LOO missions and collected while we waited the 30 minutes for max payout. then took all the single items to Nazar. Rinse and repeat until you get trader, naturalist ( for fast travel) bounty hunter, moonshiner, bounty #2. in that order.

This is also good to remind veterans, who have gotten hacked since Rockstar will delete your character and put you back to square one even though you did nothing because Rockstar does not care about their customers.

I recommend grinding to $275 and buying the navy revolver immediately. Yes you can make do with the cattleman but the higher end revolvers (scofeild, kenaf, and navy) are just so much better. It’s worth it.

Pump shotgun is a must, both in the game and IRL.
It has unbelievable stopping power. I use it all the time in both PvP and PvE.
In PvE, it lets you clear large groups of enemies super fast, and you can become a powerhouse by using the "Quite an Inspiration," "Horseman," "Unblinking Eye," and "Iron Lung" ability cards. This makes you deal out a ton of damage while taking less damage when mounted, and it also makes your deadeye last longer as well as heal yourself and your allies during deadeye. You can clear gang hideouts, checkpoints, etc. blindingly fast this way.
To top it off, with slugs in it, the pump is a 1-shot-stop to the boiler room of a grizzly bear in the event you need immediate defense, as seen here: ruclips.net/video/kXHXjJrkQJs/видео.html
The incendiary rounds are superb for PvE mounted opponents chasing you (super useful in the train legendary bounty mission).
I have yet to unlock the explosive slugs, but I'd be willing to bet they are seriously OP.

If you buy the ultimate edition you get the varmit rifle, pump shotgun, and the volcanic pistol free at any gun shop in both story mode and online. If you can get it on sale the ultimate edition is worth buying
