End of an era, guys thanks for sharing your game. Jerry if you ever read these comments you brought me back to DnD and I am grateful for it..... my wife less so😅 Amy you are the reason I play the 2nd most dysfunctional self destructive Druid I literally torched a grove by accident last week. Ryan I know it’s hard playing the ‘straight’ guy in a group but your work has been appreciated finish off writing already there is a market for it and your shadow children are screaming for Saturday morning tv show 🤣🤣 Ms Welch O’ Wizarding lady happy Valentine’s Day!! If not for you this campaign may of been less sweaty and funny I can only imagine what ideas of yours get shot down at work. K’thriss finally you have played 3 years as a warlock and when ever anyone asks how to play one I point them your way. I worry what eldritch trouble you will get yourself into without this weekly repose with dice and friends. If you guys ever make it to the UK the drinks are on me.
32:20 little did he know that a year and a half later viva la dirt league would have a d&d themed talk show featuring the God of Inquisition, Sir Vey. He interviews the players about the nonsense they get into while they all stay in character. 1:41:00 the shaky hand one is likely the one that got maimed at the Waterdeep implosion. The clone that crawled out at the end and had his right arm busted up. He isn't used to writing left handed (still a clone.)
Just had a thought that could be fun for a session. If you can't say the letter T, then you also can't cast verbal components for spells containing that letter.
I’m sad they died and I don’t really understand exactly what happened, that eulogy at the end gave me chills though good job to everyone involved in this game hopfully you all continue playing for a long time even if the C team ends
Presumably the ban on the letter T was to keep the players from possibly interrogating the boss encounter about Tenty. What was the issue with eating though? Is boss encounter known for being overwhelmed by glutinous urges upon sight of food?
@@KouriRyu He Has Killed Omin And Jim Before. Even so they're currently in a new story with the same characters, it started when they where attempting to rob the bank. You also need to remember that Penny Arcade is Jerry and Mike's company, they've dedicated their lives to PAX and will most likely never stop. Kris, Kate, Trystan, and Ryan are young, they'll eventually want to do new things. Jerry is giving them that chance. The C team also started as a homebrew game, they haven't really gone with any of the books and it's obvious they don't intend to. Simply put they're running out of room to grow. Don't get me wrong I love the C team, but you have to understand that most dnd games last less than a year, they have gone on for almost every week for four.
@@elysedonoghue6294 Yeah, except you can clearly see on their faces they did not choose this. Amy cried when she got to play Walnut again. You can tell Ryan checked out. His body language screams he was pissed and trying not to show it. Omin and Jim obviously didn't stay dead. Hell, Omin is a fucking MASKED LORD in canon. Tell me you weren't positively heartbroken when a character of yours died. Some games have gone on for 5-10 years. Let it be their choice.
@@KouriRyu the notion that Jerry didn't consult his players before deciding to end the campaign and start a new one is absurd. They definitely knew, to some degree, what was happening.
Hmm... entire team randomly dies for no clearly explained reason. Character creates a C team for purpose of "collections", instead of acquisitions. Could the last season possibly be about getting the C-team back?
Wow, ya figure all that out yourself? =P In all seriousness, it's baffling to see people in these comments think Jerry railroaded a TPK, or worse, that this was the END of the Season/Show.
@@Eshajori I know it's not the end because I am watching months later and can see more episodes coming. But this episode felt very different to lots of the others I have watched.
I still dont understand why he just straight up killed the c team. Especially since the ac inc and c team module just came out not that long ago and they even just added the c team to that dm screen.
I wanna know what's going on behind the scenes and if something drove them to rush to end thing because this all feels out of place in the story and hella rushed
Like what about the daughters of maeleth and naleain situation? What of brahma? What about k'thriss' duty to find an acolyte and his new math friend that he just made 2 episodes ago? Rosie's lighthouse? The whole fucking omen situation????? And all of a sudden the c team just gets Diabolus ex Machina'd??? What the fuck is going onnnnnn
""I still dont understand why he just straight up killed the c team." They are employees of Acquisitions Incorporated, sooner or later, everyone has to add to the ridiculously consistent and high turnover rate. I also don't imagine Walnut consolidating was a decision that was held with high regard among upper management. Remember folks, don't harm productivity by voring your fellow employees.
Very doubtful. But I suspect we won't see them again until the series finale approaches. Or at least halfway through the season with these new characters.
You suspect, that this form of interlocutory is but adjacent to those traditional styles that, historically speaking, have connected synaptically in a way that made fucking sense. There are positions on the spectrum of styles that a being in the position of that which is commonly called the "D.M", may employ, to his advantage, and I would like this comments thread to discern, even now, that this is a noble enterprise, and as the juxtapose between the mundane coherence of Chris Perkins, this is but a shallow simulacrum of the true cause of the Dungeon-master. That of making so little sense, that its un-watchable even after these 300 hours of doing exactly that.
I'm sorry... This was the most unenthusiastic and boring episode of the C team I've seen in a while... after mikes story... This just didn't entertain me.
Live shows are jerry kryptonite. He tries to do too much, or gives too much control over. I think that the challenge here was what lead to it feeling dry.
@@stevecollins4567 To be fair, it must be super stressful to be on stage and be expected to be entertaining/funny playing D&D. How the A-Team gets it done still surprises me.
@@stevecollins4567 don't get me wrong, I love them, I just kinda expected more yaknow? Like, the days they would dress up for their live shows were great. I still will continue to watch anything that is to come. I was just left feeling very underwhelmed.

Why did i think skipping ahead and watching this would be a good idea... i knew when it kept getting further and further away from d&d and closer and closer to story telling it was going downhill but i did not expect this at all..

I don't get why everyone is complaining. I really enjoyed this episode!
Shock and misunderstanding. Feelings of a sudden and unceremonious end. Luckily, 'twas not the case.
thanks past me for taking a break before the live show, so present me can start my binge with a bang.
Can't wait for Welch to finally answer the question, "Are centaurs hot?"
F them haters, I loved all the episodes! This one was great too, I look forward to the next ones. Keep it up!

"Yeah, when they get like this they spit when they talk..."
"Is it spit?" 🤔

Gotta love the writing.
Noo! I know all good things must come to an end but I just want to see K'hriss get to finally be with his God..Nooo!
You really think Jerry would kill them, much less without a fight? They are just missing.
The collection teams purpose is probably too collect them.
Oh my fucking god YES, get even weirder!
My street fate... Our fate is late... ready... on call to interpretation. Watch out now... for C team determination.

i think they only do that at specific pax shows

Guys! Come back! We need you!
Pretty clever way of killing but maybe not killing an entire group of PCs. I certainly did not see all that coming.

I think Jerry tweeted something along the lines of "because it's a story, and if stories' don't end they aren't stories"
