AEDs do not require that the person using them has been trained in their use. The whole idea of community available AEDs is that they can be used by anyone, as the directions are given by the unit once it is turned on.
Great and very helpful video. However, you should check the subtitles you uploaded as in some parts do not correspond to the audio and I could use only those auto-generated by RUclips.
Impromptu first aid does not offer all of these niceties. The responder probably has only what is on his person or perhaps a nearby person. It is absurd to think he or she should think first about finding a sink to disinfect thur hands etc.
Hi I have one question with regards to Groin Injuries during sport events such as soccer/baseball etc...why is it when a guy suffers a low blow (groin hit) - the medics always elevate their legs and bring the knees to their chest? I also noticed they lift up their pelvis (saw this being performed numerous times). Does those methods help to relieve the pain to the injured party? Can someone please explain this to me? P.S feel free to you use medical jargon or layman terms😀
@@rob_496 Do you perhaps know the explanation behind this first aid method? Are there any sites on this subject because I've Googled it and can't find anything.
Never use ice on a burn! Never wrap tightly. Never use your thumb when checking for a pulse, it has a pulse of its own. Compression bandages should go on the skin, not over a sock.

Cool running water should be used to treat burns, never use ice under any circumstance
Ok
Right, even should not use dry and tight bandages on burn area, you may cover with a wet and clean cloth.
Ok, thanks
So informative. Very helpful to me and the people around me.

@@spartacus7216 I would guess it's to stop the injured bit being stretched out any further and more damage and pain being caused?
@@gmr1241 thank you for getting back to me👍
@@spartacus7216 It was only a guess... but you're welcome.
