Really amazing. I did well. Really beautiful, beautiful... It's great to see the details and mention the sizes. Congratulations to you for your wonderful work..
Nice work! Something to think about, the air in front of the hammer gets compressed which slows the hammer down and will cause hammer bounce as it acts as a spring. The easiest thing to do is to make flutes on the hammer to allow air to vent. Looking good!
As usual, very nice work. Much appreciated content. I know this is a little off-topic but I've become a little obsessed with balanced valve mechanisms as seen on the Huben GK1 and K1. Do these have a similar difficulty level of making as the traditional hammer and spring types? If making something like this was on your radar then it's already got the thumbs up from me. Thanks again.
They are a little more complicated, but I do have a balanced valve system idea in mind, but I am not making it very soon. It will be for a really powerful 80-100 ftlb .25 cal Also, the huben has a different hammer like you mentioned, I am not sure if I could make something that complicated.

Thank you so much 😊

There is actually a twist; this will be for a semi auto, so the hammer bounce only helps it more.

Hi mate, great videos and skills. I wondered what model lathe you were using? Seems small but certainly accurate enough! At least in your hands 😊
It's a 7x16 vevor lathe, got it for 700$. Really nice for such money.
Thankyou!
Great job! Was wondering what is that oil mix you are using when machining on a lathe?
it's just ordinary cutting oil for drilling, turning, tapping etc
