The whole thing about feeling boring as a mum because you have nothing to talk about… I had this exact conversation with a friend recently. I found it hard with my first baby but absolutely savage this time round with my second. I know it’s temporary but it’s hard not to dread the “what have you been up to?” question when you know the response is “getting through a bottle of ace bleach every week because my baby keeps pooping through everything…oh and I managed to have a shower 3 days ago!” 😂

Is £29.99 a month not extortion for skincare? The Ordinary is so cheap and it’s all the same stuff without the fancy packaging (although it’s very lovely still). If you do the research on what the stuff is for it doesn’t take long to order what you need. ❤

For the ‘having something else to talk about other than kids’ I love borrow box associated with local library for free audiobooks eg on health like the Tim Spector stuff or Atomic Habits. Also have been on a 4 year decluttering journey and it’s been one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life - I hope you find it as life giving!! It’s HARD work but The Minimal Mom on RUclips is hugely responsible for my success. I’ve been listening to ‘keep the memories lose the stuff’ on Spotify premium 15 hours a month audiobook atm after she recommended it. Some really good life principles in it and stories but also more focussed to moving house levels of clutter. I am hoping to join her ‘summer Olympics’ for the body doubling helps for a final push to get our flat to a calm space for our family! All the best for you and yours 😊
my son didnt crawl till around 11.5 months. he sat up super early and always showed signs of wanting to move. He pulled himself to standaround 11 months then crawled at 11.5. I thought he was never going to! he also didn't walk till about 14.5 months! some kids just take longer. But in my expereince when they do finally get it a little bit older they're just off and so confident with it too xx
My almost 13 month old still doesn’t pull himself up. He started crawling just after 11 months and has just been doing that since. I’ve stopped stressing. My older son was walking by one so it’s so different second time around

I’m BFing my 2nd and feel I’ve either been feeding or pregnant since 2020 and it’s sooo nice to use something that I feel is potent and powerful but safe for me! I loved my skin care pre-pregnancy but got so nervous to use anything so this has been a tiny wee glimmer of self care in a very selfless season! ❤

Hi Shan, love watching your vlogs. Relate to them so much as our children are really close in age (my son was born September 2020 and my daughter July 2023). Really struggling with my 3 year olds behaviour at the moment and find myself googling ADHD every day but my family all say I'm being silly and that he's just a boy! So difficult 💙
