I love / hate this system. The ability to tune realms to content you want to be doing in the moment is great, I love the design space. The fact only one of these cards can be active at a time, and the fact that many of these affect crafting yields is probably the only area I'm a little ehhhh on - knowing I'll have to be rotating these cards every time I plan another crafting wave will be a little tedious. If they're cheap enough to craft and maintain, it might not be a big deal, just seems like a slight inconvenience. Also very interested in the "Resource yields are not what you expect" with the Deep Fae card, definitely seems like more going on under the hood with that one.
Would be cool if they at least allowed 2 minor cards to be used. Or some type of combo-ing -- Just imagine if each person in a party could activate their own minor card (therefore up to six active at once! muahaha)... crazy combo environments! Yes! I imagine that would take a lot of work to design, tho. But would definitely be a cool additional feature.
@@cosmicchameleon The devs have said, iirc, that the 'one card at a time' is mostly an EA or 'just for now' kinda thing. I think the intent is to potentially allow combinations like that later.
Great series Jade, thank you. Does card activation reset chests? Does a card affect those who visit the realm with you, or is this per user? Does this reset resources outside of your estate cairn? Thanks again.
What's the point of using higher level realms? More exp, better and unique loot? Really looking forward to playing this tomorrow (later on today it's 12:30 am here)
Some of these probably need some balancing. If devs keep tabs on what is used and what not, they should get some indication of which.

Deep Fae probably allows some particular enemy or something to spawn only under that effect is my best guess

Completely rests everything including where things are, the maps are proc gen, anyone who visits has same effect, estate cairns are realm wide
what is the difference between a "wood" card and a regular card?
nothing just error in labels

Higher level realms mean higher level enemies with higher level loot. Also, you probably will need higher level tools to harvest stuff there.
Are the minor cards the ones labeled in red or black?
I believe both types are minor cards. It's just whether you have the ingredients to craft them or not.
can i stop the card after i used it?
There's a cleansing card to stop whatever effects were going on, also you can play another card and have it overwrite the old one.
There are cards in this game?
Realm cards are the criteria for the portal system to create a realm for you. You'll need a biome card, a major card and if you wish, a minor card.
Bad moon raising…..
The review don’t sound good I’ll stick with enshrouded
