Echoing others' comments, great stuff; thank you for sharing this! (And I watched every sliver of the Greenland paddling in the hopes that I could suss out what I'm doing wrong with mine that's causing my wrist to hurt!)

@@andyd3063 hey thanks for watching and sharing your kind words!
Sorry to hear your GLP is causing your wrist to hurt. I’m assuming you didn’t have any wrist injuries prior to using a Greenland paddle? I actually switched to using them only a few months ago after developing wrist tendinitis, and now I love them! I learned the technique from Online Sea Kayaking’s excellent Greenland paddling course, but I think there are some free videos around on RUclips. The crucial part for me which took a while to click is the angle I hold it at; ideally you want a canted stroke and that means holding the paddle at an angle. Your last two fingers on each hand should be on the upper blade edge and when your hands are correctly positioned you should allow the paddle to sit in a way that the paddle has a leading edge with that upper edge of the blade resting behind the first joint of your fingers. I find that if this angle isn’t correct the paddle will flutter and the stroke will feel very uncomfortable. The other crucial part of the stroke is that it’s very low angle; this allows you to bury the entire blade quickly into the water. If you’re already doing these things it’s hard to know what may be causing the issue for you! Do you have any video of you using yours?

Agree with others, very well done, nice narration and good voice for it.
In such a place I could get accustomed to paddling in the greyness. (new word, just for this)

@@yru435 thanks for the comments! And yes the greyness didn’t bother me at all, it was really atmospheric ☺️

Perhaps, for the benefit of anyone under 35, you ought to explain what a 'VHS' is!
