I think I saw somewhere somebody did their own reinterpretation of this and made it more accurate to what would actually have happened to a crippled space marine which would be getting turned into a dreadnought in order to continue to serve the imperium they wouldn't just be left in a wheelchair.
The wheelchair's guns not only look too small (like, twin-linked bolt pistols?) but also lack obvious indications of adequate ammunition supplies (even storm bolters have ammo boxes almost as large as themselves). I am fairly certain that all WH40K illustrations and models are subject to the WhatYouSeeIsWhatYouGet rule.
Honestly, i just found it weird why people want to push physical disability stuff in fantasy and sci-fi...it doesn't make sense in a lot of cases both in a setting and a player thing... In settings there is often ways to regain the use of said limb be it magic in fantasy or science stuff in sci-fi. Hell some enchantments, augmetics or cybernetics allow one to SURPASS the traditionally abled while at worst not having a degree of sensation. On the player side, i understand embracing the hand you are delt and identity behind it...but what sane person thinks that in settings that have the above true that they wish to just accept the reality of their situation in fantastical settings or even subject their chars to it when they can experince the fantasy of having what we do not have the capability to do yet. I stress this as someone whom has a aquaintance at d&d with 3 limb prosthesis...he finds stuff like this so dumb, and i don't think he has once tried to replicate or push his condition into any of his chars...its just weird and sort of a mix of narsasistic/pathetic atleast according to him.
Exactly. In a fantastical setting where you can be anything, WHY would you want to replicate your real life disability in this game of make-pretend when you could instead play something heroic and able-bodied, handsome or beautiful, courageous and stalwart? It's nonsense.
the people who want to do that are literal propogandists that do not care about anything other than looking good to others and doing the absolute barest possible minimum to acheive that
This is people wanting fictional characters to share THEIR level of disability. Thus being limited to whatever means are available in the real world rather than, yknow, using the means of the setting to overcome their disability. Thus, the combat wheelchair.
from what i see, its the victim mentality that a lot of radical leftist circles seem to have. its an over-correction from the past mentality where no one cared about these things basically at all, and so now being oppressed, victimized, or held back is an inherent good to social justice/woke/whatever you want to call it crowd. it doesn't make any logical sense, and even people in these "oppressed" groups often don't like it, like the disabled friend in your DnD group. another example is latino/south american cultures are absolutely LIVID over the latinx thing despite liberals thinking its more inclusive to these groups.
Anyone else find it entertaining when you look at this and go. Wow The bolter is at such a poor scale that it looks tiny. Like no joke if you look at a real bolter. It is almost half the size of a normal space marine. Yet this thing looks like an oversized magnum, not a weapon that shoot Miny rockets. And don't even get mes tarted with with the chair cannons. weapons that not only have way to small of an ammo feed. Their is no where even to store the ammo. As they forgot to draw in the cartridges. Forgetting that even in the 40k, ammo is not infinite.
Bolters are quite chunky, but they're not the size of a space marine. The shape is more like an overly chunky grenade launcher, considering it shoots 40mm rockets. Are you thinking the vehicle-sized heavy bolters? Those will certainly make even space marines look humble in size.
Perhaps the ammo feed is stored somewhere among the copious folds. Could always add a bit of biological payload if you store the ammo in the right place. You know just in case your fighting something that can survive bolter rounds.
Either way i'd say it doesn't make sense at all. How that thing has been able to survive - i mean 40k universe isn't the most friendly place and even a seasoned Space Marine can be overwhelmed by hordes of enemies and die if he isn't careful.

I feel like I would have bought Space Marine 2 without a second thought if it was First Born and we could customize our armor from Mark 2 to Mark 8. Despite how good I heard it is I just can't get over that it's the same armor basically recolored instead of the amazing lore behind the First Born and their armor. I'm honestly shocked Games Workshop hasn't canonized retrofits for Mark 2 to Mark 8 for Primarus because I have a hard time believing that a space Marine that served centuries of not Millennia in his armor would just give it up with how they view it as an essential part of themselves, treating it with immense respect and care due to its intricate design, history, and the fact that it is deeply integrated with them.
Funny how, despite having Somewhat Mobile Weapon Platform, there are no heavy weapons, or at least some decent armour; Yes it would become Dreadnought on wheels, buggy, or a tank, but, that would be more useful in actual battle. Also those mounted Storm Bolters are useless in that place, unless used as antiair, can't hit most of ground enemies, when there is elevation or slight cover.
I'll give it one thing at least: they made the Wheelchair look like it could've been in the setting, even if the rest of it implicately mocks the setting as a whole. perhaps instead of being given to Space Marines: those Wheelchairs could've been given to Servitors who haven't been given the ability to fly, forever landlocking them to where they go, or if there is Jumpjets on them: perhaps the Tech Priests could use them to zip around faster. ah well, the rest of the idea of what it represents is what drags it down too far into any clutches of straws where it could be redeemed.
Isn't that an ATV Invader welded around that is a better idea...., but now the idea of a black, gay, disabled, morbidly obese, transspecies marine-necron destroyer now roams in my head, thank you
Like, its a super low tech ravenor chair, definitely would likely see service in servitor applications as stated, or i could see a similarly injured, but infinitely useful servant to the throne could get this in lieu of more advanced cybernetics, the hereticus seems like the ideal candidate for this type and style of wargear
It's also mildly ironic in that the 40k universe has representation of almost all of this characters traits spread over different factions in a sense lol
That brutal review amused me more than I expected. Only one thing about Crux Terminatus - aquiring such honor grants right to take Terminator Armour into battle, but doesn't mean it is only aviable option. Easiest example, chapter may not have so many battle-ready suits of such precious relics, not to mention details like training time needed to use it in battle, or it is unwise by tactic/strategy of theatre of conflict etc.
Excellent video! Looking forward to GDW’s new line of these DEI space marines miniatures! If you paint this- you are guaranteed to win the Golden Demon award!
No matter what one thinks of the depiction, one HAS to respect the lovingly drawn details, i especially love the stormbolter side turrets. And the exhaust pipe in the rear just makes it all so PERFECT XD The NEW, all-inclusive Space Marine, no enemy can stand before them, they step over everything... except STAIRS! XD
Looking at the thumbnail........doesn't Nurgle already cover this, heck you could homebrew a chaos warband that earned a duel championship from Nurgle and Slanesh and it would cover every aspect of this.
This is the greatest piece of fan art I’ve ever seen omg this is hysterical it loops back around to good again but not for the reasons the guy intended
I think the worst part is how little regard the artist has for the setting. Not even in an 'oh no, you can't have those things! Straight white able-bodied strong men only!', but in the sense that many of those attributes are already present in many space marines, just not how it's presented here. Black space marines exist. Hell, there's a whole chapter where everybody's skin is literally black (though that doesn't override their ethnicity, we saw an Asian Salamander in one of the recent animations). Disabled space marines are common. You wouldn't turn a disabled person into a space marine (unless you could cure/treat that disability), but Astartes frequently are wounded in battle, and often have to replace body parts with bionic replacements. You also have dreadnoughts, which are space marines that have been so horribly wounded that they either cannot survive or function outside of specialized stasis pods, which are hooked up to a large mech for them to control in battle. The poster child of a disabled space marine, really. You could theoretically have gay space marines, but space marines are supposed to have their brains messed with to shut off sexual and romantic feelings and urges, so you don't really have 'straight' space marines either. Most would be asexual, though sometimes feelings can push through this, and there's occasional stories of marines falling in love with women, or bedding them. It can probably happen for space marines to fall for men as well, but given that it's already very uncommon for straight marines to exist, it's probably incredibly rare for gay marines to exist (though I wouldn't be surprised if they already did exist somewhere in the vast canon that exists). Morbidly obese isn't happening without a critical flaw happening somewhere, warp taint, or being a plague marine. Being trans, or a marine finding themselves as female, isn't happening either without one of the previously mentioned qualifiers, with the added exception of them being 'blessed' by Slannesh. If this space marine exists, they either worship chaos, or have been corrupted by chaos.
i know damn well in lore 😂, stuff like this is called heresy by inquisition punishable by execution Does people that create this doesnt know warhammer 40k universe? Like what?

^ This 100%. I write my own stories for various characters in 40k but never for one nanosecond would I dare suggest that they be forced into general cannon unless the alternative is something like what this artist is trying to push if only because I feel that my fan edits are not done with malice in mind.
we need a parallel universe there the demons or who ever wiped out the empire because they only had the diverse space marines and used stairs to defeat them.
If a space marines augments and cybernetics keep them in such a state that an Olympian God would be jealous…how much food would be required for this scenario to be possible?
I honestly don't know what to think of that artist. It actually comes across as a wonderful troll account and is so prolific you'd have to think he was a team of people. If you read down his page as satire and making fun it's hilarious. If serious he's a nut. But like... neko space marines, maid space marines... it's stupid and funny.
Technically aren’t dreadnoughts disabled? They have no legs or arms, and are suspended in a protein nutrient substance. Besides the fact they would likely just shoot a marine with these conditions. A wheelchair would never be used. You’d either get admech legs or be dreadnoughted. Still learning about them so I apologize if my assessment is incorrect.
So, four times the cost for 1/8 the firepower and 1/2 the mobility of a single Primaris marine. Guess that someone wanted a Space Marine the Tau could handle. The level of cooperation between Malice, Tzeentch and Nurgle is impressive, though..

To play devils advocate, does the lack of dents in armor mean anything? Could have needed to be replaced, or voluntarily was repaired (dents and stuff are weak points).
Look i like intercessors as a concept. Dropping from low orbit as shock troopers is cool. But holy shit any marine that required a wheelchair would either be a dreadnought candidate, or a new servitor for the land raiders lascannon.

a question , if the armor got to damage they dont give the space marine a new one ? because even if the tradition says to try to repair the armor , i supose some could get to damage to do so.
Im disappointed but not surprised that the artist went down this road. I kinda like the space maids, I at least found them kinda funny. But this is just a bad idea that wasn’t dropped when it should’ve been.

It's so perfect, I would buy that miniature... And I don't even play 40K. 🤪
And the fact that this wasn't done as irony, is icing on the cake. 😆
Pretty sure it's a fetish.
from what i see, its the victim mentality that a lot of radical leftist circles seem to have. its an over-correction from the past mentality where no one cared about these things basically at all, and so now being oppressed, victimized, or held back is an inherent good to social justice/woke/whatever you want to call it crowd. it doesn't make any logical sense, and even people in these "oppressed" groups often don't like it, like the disabled friend in your DnD group. another example is latino/south american cultures are absolutely LIVID over the latinx thing despite liberals thinking its more inclusive to these groups.
That punt artwork from lazer_groove is magnificent. wonder if vanripper was tagged in for the similar artstyle and would collab a piece with lazer.
But is it Slaanesh or Nurgle?
Yes
Both?
They might have joined custody.
It's Chaos Undivided.

I believe it's suposed to be a heavy bolt pistol, not a bolter.
Perhaps the ammo feed is stored somewhere among the copious folds. Could always add a bit of biological payload if you store the ammo in the right place. You know just in case your fighting something that can survive bolter rounds.
@@SethAbercrombyno look at the bolters in art, they're at least half the guys torso. And well that's bad for even a bolt pistol.
I do believe that is intended to be a Heavy Bolt Pistol that the NuScouts use.
@The Archcast I think it's the Campaign badge for the Imdomitus crusade rather than the Crux Terminatus.
Correct, the bottom extends further than the other edges
Either way i'd say it doesn't make sense at all. How that thing has been able to survive - i mean 40k universe isn't the most friendly place and even a seasoned Space Marine can be overwhelmed by hordes of enemies and die if he isn't careful.
@@misterx51-h8j That badge is literally a participation trophy for the first primaris marines off the assembly line, most of them didn't even have a chapter when they were awarded it.

It would still be placed on a knee cap though.
Why do all these people draw it in a modern cartoon style, pastel like colouring as background, everything is rounded. Soooo bland and basic
because they are doing what they are taught and nothing else
Because they are bland and basic.
Tzeentch's latest scheme to defeat the imperium "Stairs"
I tried to take it seriously but I died laughing.
A techmarine that lost his lower half and became one with a landraider does sound cool.
Isn't that an ATV Invader welded around that is a better idea...., but now the idea of a black, gay, disabled, morbidly obese, transspecies marine-necron destroyer now roams in my head, thank you
I'll tell you why they don't make sense in the 40K setting.
Stairs. Lots and lots and lots of Stairs.
Yeah - Chaos embodies all pervesions
That brutal review amused me more than I expected.
Only one thing about Crux Terminatus - aquiring such honor grants right to take Terminator Armour into battle, but doesn't mean it is only aviable option. Easiest example, chapter may not have so many battle-ready suits of such precious relics, not to mention details like training time needed to use it in battle, or it is unwise by tactic/strategy of theatre of conflict etc.
Hey Arch, have you ever considered making a Primaris VS Firstborn marines vid?
Yes this would be great. Primaris are the WORST! I cant stand them.
Excellent video! Looking forward to GDW’s new line of these DEI space marines miniatures! If you paint this- you are guaranteed to win the Golden Demon award!
Looks more like a Dreadnought to me.
Or a Doughnought!
Doughnaught
i think this dreadnought dreads the gym
Dreadnought-a-woman lol
That's an insult to Dreadnoughts and the trauma and suffering Space Marines had to endure to be interred into such a mechanism...
No matter what one thinks of the depiction, one HAS to respect the lovingly drawn details, i especially love the stormbolter side turrets.
And the exhaust pipe in the rear just makes it all so PERFECT XD
The NEW, all-inclusive Space Marine, no enemy can stand before them, they step over everything... except STAIRS! XD
Don't forget, any water deeper than that exhaust pipe is going straight into the engine, so small streams are also prohibitive
Looking at the thumbnail........doesn't Nurgle already cover this, heck you could homebrew a chaos warband that earned a duel championship from Nurgle and Slanesh and it would cover every aspect of this.
The landslide of a failure aside. The pink maid Dreadnoughts in her thumbnail is an anime collab i did not know we needed.
So this is the next Ultramarine Chapter Master as chosen by Guillieman.
Well Guillieman would get the flamer to purge this nightmare and Khorne would help free of charge.
Is it even possible for a space marine to get fat?
When I was a kid I drew Conan the barbarian and han solo.
This, this is peak fire right here im tierd boss
This is the greatest piece of fan art I’ve ever seen omg this is hysterical it loops back around to good again but not for the reasons the guy intended
It's like reverse satire. I agree, it's a great picture; a shining example of why 'hobby tourists' are seen as a cancer.
was only a matter of time for the games workshop doctor who crossover
GW did do Dr who minis in the mid 80's
Would love to see a Nurgle reskin of this.
A mass of flesh hungry to sew death and disease, but too committed to the sloth, so they use a motorized scooter with guns and a fullback chair lol.
Was this one of Cawl's early attempts?
I can't help but imagine the Harkonens from Dune when you mention them flying
i know damn well in lore 😂, stuff like this is called heresy by inquisition punishable by execution
Does people that create this doesnt know warhammer 40k universe? Like what?
They know enough to know what to attack.
its called being a propogandist, knowing about 40k is considered evil by them but that have to interact with it anyway for the attention it gets em
I love that this was sincere...it's just amazing how these people think and have no understanding of 40K.
I think fabius bile made this thing and our favorite sisters of battle unmade it.
Fabius would never waste his time crafting something so pointless.
Or the iron warriors, thats a she/her-monculaba right there
Fun fact: Amazon doesn't want to utilize the sororitas because they are too religious. Allegedly.
9:35 is when anyone who has watched Arch for a long time knew exactly what was going to happen next. My condolences Lord Inquisitor Arch for the pain that has been inflicted upon thee
lol, I saw this on the 40K Empress Show last night; all I say is that a person is entitled to do fan art and interpret an IP as they wish but please don't try and impose it onto official GW lore please; it will devalue the lore.
^ This 100%. I write my own stories for various characters in 40k but never for one nanosecond would I dare suggest that they be forced into general cannon unless the alternative is something like what this artist is trying to push if only because I feel that my fan edits are not done with malice in mind.
The counter art the real fans have dished out is so funny the laughing gods hand can be seen in it
we need a parallel universe there the demons or who ever wiped out the empire because they only had the diverse space marines and used stairs to defeat them.
If a space marines augments and cybernetics keep them in such a state that an Olympian God would be jealous…how much food would be required for this scenario to be possible?
The hot bot's going strong in comments. Prefect balance to the art seen in video.
40k died and space king was born from its ashes
40k grom the paunch
Da biggest gabbo eva!
That's just precious getting isekai'ed to the 40k timeline.
When you'd qualify for becoming a Dreadnought but the chapter doesn't like you so they turn you into an IFV be like.
One would turn themselves into an IED instead, I think.
This is a work of Art, truly one of a kind.
I didn't know Nurgle and Slaanesh made a kid.
I've seen the Crux Terminatus on the right pauldrons, too.... The Vanguard Veterans have it on the right.... I'm so behind on lore - can anyone explain or point me where to get the info?
The most unfortunate thing to me, in all this, is that you can tell they're actually a pretty decent artist.
Isn't that the thing they dropped on Cadia?
They don't call it a "Black Crusade" for nothin'.
I'm not a 40k fan. I haven't read any of the guidebooks, the novels, paint any models etc. but I interacted with the lore enough to know that if someone equivalent exists in 40k, they're either some debauched noble, Slaaneshi worshipper, or Nurgle worshipper… but since not enough green or any tumour so this means that this one is a Slaaneshi following debauched noble
Clearly this has to be Mars's latest ammunition for the Inquisitions Exterminatus Cannons.
HAHA I was waiting for this video since I saw that artwork.
On their first mission, they get shot in the head but survive, making them nerodivgent when compared to other space marines.
i can't tell if it's from Nurgle or Slaanesh.
To play devils advocate, does the lack of dents in armor mean anything? Could have needed to be replaced, or voluntarily was repaired (dents and stuff are weak points).
Im waiting for it to start the Zamasu speech 😂
Look i like intercessors as a concept. Dropping from low orbit as shock troopers is cool.
But holy shit any marine that required a wheelchair would either be a dreadnought candidate, or a new servitor for the land raiders lascannon.
Is think its just a worse centurion with wheels. Does it have the walker rules? Curious
yeah, this Stuff is just insane now, also, are you going to do a video on the Custodes thing going on? where the big rule book claimed his and him and brotherhood?
I am loving the tactical rock!
a question , if the armor got to damage they dont give the space marine a new one ? because even if the tradition says to try to repair the armor , i supose some could get to damage to do so.
When did they allow Nurgle into to the emperors flock?
Im disappointed but not surprised that the artist went down this road. I kinda like the space maids, I at least found them kinda funny. But this is just a bad idea that wasn’t dropped when it should’ve been.
Oh wow ! They just released the cover art for the 11th edition codex !
I think this is one of those mutants they talk about killing.
They forgot to include furrys. Oh wait, we already have space wolves
This might actually be an i interesting design for Baron Harkonnen from "Dune", just give the character red hair.
You know, i got into this game with 10th. i do have an all Primaris army and i do think they are neet. I like the armor although i do mod it alot with 3rd party parts from my 3d printer.
No way somebody has made this picture to be taken seriously. Nobody is that ignorant of what they are making, right?
