    Jessica, you have been a very busy lady! All of your finishes are wonderful and I loved seeing your WIPS and haul-so many beautiful things to look forward to. I look forward to the day when we can stitch in person ♥️

    So many beautiful finishes! You are spoiling us! With your French Christmas piece and the odd white stitches, if you are going to put iron on backing onto the piece to make it a pillow then you can leave the white stitches off, finish it, iron on the backing and then do the white stitches...no visible carry threads! A little cheat but so much quicker! 🧵

    Great to see a video from you with so many lovely projects finished and worked on. It was funny seeing Bluebirds Threadkeep as I had just got my framed version out as part of my Spring display. Not one I see stitched very often.
    Looking forward to at least one more video this year! I tend to watch the long ones in sections anyway.

    So happy to see you back!! And you've made so many beautiful things over the last while!
    I'm happy for you that you found hiking. I love hiking (when I can get my butt out there). I usually only do an hour or two but would love to work up to a full day!
    I love the colorful sampler you bought and your conversion is beautiful! It actually reminds me a bit of the one you kitted at the Attic when we were there for Stitchnanigans. I could be remembering wrong, but I feel like that had similar colors.
    I know what you mean about not messing with the groove! I'm working on my oldest WIP and when I get in the groove on it I know I need to take full advantage of that momentum and not let anything distract me!

    Nice to see you Jessica! Your finishes are beautiful!! I had to laugh because we are stitching many of the same designs and have purchased many of the same as well!
    I just took Pink Sparrow Sampler to be framed! It was a fun stitch. I used the called for colors and I liked how they look. Not really primitive but it's very pretty. I'm also working in Sarah Stewart Hardman too! Absolutely love it!!
    I have all the BBD you showed because you must have them...lol I also ordered the new one from Traditional Stitches with the silks. I just can't say no to BBD ever!
    Hope to see you again really soon! Happy Stitching and working from home!! 😊💜

    I've just discovered your flosstube channel and I love all your finishes and your antique finds. I would love to get that reproduction once it's offered. I too went on Herrschner's and ordered that Rosewood Manor chart. I wonder if it would be possible to chart that blue coverlet piece? I thought it was a cross stitch chart at first - it would be a great pattern! I will continue to watch your videos - I love all your projects!

    Dear Jessica, Thank you for sharing your lovely projects. I was concerned that the hole in your finished piece could be moth damage.Through experience, I am neurotic about reducing the risk to my natural fibres by clothes moth larvae. Consequently, I freeze wool felt, balls of natural yarn and second-hand fabric purchases in zip-lock bags. I air them to ensure they are dry before storing with my existing textiles. I use commercial moth deterrents as well as lavender sachets and scented liners in drawers. Quite literally, once bitten twice shy. However careful you are at home you never know how/where things have been stored before they come to you. I hope this is not your problem but it may heighten the awareness of other stitchers too. Thank you, Take care, Linda

    You are such a joy! I've only been stitching for a couple of months and just found your channel. I am in love with samplers now!!! I have a question, several times you mentioned other people stitching the different samplers you held up. How on earth do you find all these ladies? You also mentioned different clubs and groups, how do I find those that would be geared toward samplers? You should not feel bad about your hand stitching at all, I think your work is beautiful!!! I loved everything you finished. Happy Stitching

      Hi and welcome to stitching-it’s so addictive! 😁 I actually met a lot of Flosstubers in person because there are a TON of us in Georgia, so I watched their channels, then watched the people they recommended, then watched the people THEY recommended, and soon I had a pretty good list of subscriptions. And I just realized I forgot to include links to the Flosstubers I mentioned, so I will do that ASAP!
      To find people in person, I recommend searching for a Sampler Guild or EGA (Embroiderers Guild of America) chapter near you; I belong to both and they have monthly meetings, (virtual) stitch-ins, and occasional classes or other events. You can also search on Facebook for cross-stitch groups in your area; I’m a member of a group for Georgia stitchers. And there are lots of Facebook groups, like Sampler World, where people share photos of their finished pieces.

    Hi Jessica , Heard you mention you are in the Atlanta area... Me too for over 30 years. I'd love to know if you have an LNS? All the stores I know of have closed... Sad. Thanks for sharing... I hopped over to Sassy Jacks and grabbed a few HATS charts... Do you have a stitching grioup?? Melinda

    • @SchoolhouseStitcher
      @SchoolhouseStitcher  3 года назад +1

      Sadly, no LNS, although there are a few web-based businesses that are based in Georgia (String Theory Needlearts, Stitch and Frog, and A Needleworkers Shoppe). Every now and then I’ll take a day trip to Alabama and go to 2-3 of the stores there!
      I’m a member of The Sampler Guild of Georgia and the Dogwood Chapter of the EGA. If you’re on Facebook, there’s also a group called Georgia Cross Stitchers’ Get Togethers where people organize stitch-ins.

    Your stitching and finishing are so beautiful! I was wondering, please, what do you stuff the drums with? Also, what stitch do yo use to so neatly stitch the wool square on the back of the laced piece?
    I love the Novalee Christmas Sampler and would love to find the pattern. I searched and was unable to find Novalee designs online. Do you know how I might obtain them? Thank you!

    • @SchoolhouseStitcher
      @SchoolhouseStitcher  3 года назад

      Thank you! I used Mountain Mist Fiberloft for all three of these. I've also stuffed drums with wood shavings (which was not my favorite; it's animal bedding, not sawdust) and crushed walnut shells (which I like, but it is tricky to stuff the drum full enough).
      I used a whip stitch for the wool piece and just made sure my thread matched the wool and that my stitches didn't extend too far onto the linen.
      I would try contacting Novalee through her blog: novalee02.over-blog.com (it is in French, though!).
