Ozone has such a left hand for this type of duo playing and the way they follow each other and know where the other is going to end up even beyond simply keeping to the form. I want to be good enough to be able to play this way with someone

Both Burton and Ozone play accurately and cleanly with good instrumental technique but are too stiff and busy (playing all the notes all the time) to generate real feeling or swing.

YOu must be joking! They swing like CRAZY-Swing does not need to be sloppy playing
