I just shoved my full time toxic job (last day is next week!) to resell on Ebay. Thank you so much for all the wonderful information! Much appreciated from this newbie! I’m so excited to do something I love instead of the office drudge with a bunch of people who hate their jobs as much as I do!
Lol I thought giving my son the scanner to source would help but nope he was bored about 5 minutes! Lol he did pick up a good item that sold on eBay for triple and I gave him the profit to save/spend! Now he’s having a little more fun at it and understanding the business. I only take him if he’s willing if not he loves to go to Grandmas for an hour!
Thanks for videos. I started last September I'm retired now . This is keep me busy and give me savings and extra money. I'm a widow live alone this gives me reason to get out and be around people and keeps me going. It's been good I enjoy it . For me days I don't feel good I don't have to do anything or get up call in . I'm at that age too that no one hires senior citizens. I'm my own boss I love that .
Monty...my husband and I are late 50's and we need the extra $ for retirement as well. I so agree with you, it's good to get out and be around people, I've meet some nice women and great conversations while out sourcing! By the way, both my husband and I were widowed in our 30's so we understand how it feels to be alone. Good to hear you're taking a healthy approach of getting out to be around people. Hope all goes well for you. Mike & Ally at Mike & Ally's Haul Ya'll (eBay store).
This video was exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!! I had recently figured out through experimentation that an average price of $30 worked well but I had only been keeping about 50 items in my shop. I will definitely work on bulking up my inventory. Thank you for being open about your numbers and encouraging others! Love your channel.
This is by far the most practical and most useful reseller video I have seen. Easily the best of the many I have watched in an attempt to gain a handle on this business. And such a relief from the majority of RUclips’s where they say nothing for an hour. Thank you!
Love your videos, Ashley. I’m a mom of four kids and work full time. I learn a lot from you. I hit $2500.00 for 60 days on eBay. Happy with that. Good vacation money. New subscriber. 💗
Ashley, sending you blessings! This is such great tutorial- you broke down the steps and the numbers just brilliantly! You’re a gifted, natural teacher, combined with the heart of a giver. I love your willingness to share what you’ve learned about these businesses, both the things that have been successful, and the flops and fails😁 Continued prayers of love and success!🙏❤️
I don't know how you winded up in the videos I watched but boy am I happy to listen to your advice. I'm about 70yr and I'd love to make some extra money. Been thrifting for over 50 years and have seen so many treasures folks would like. Thx for all of the info dear.
Thank you for your lucid, professional, business focused approach and valuable insights into how to make an income from reselling! I just started selling my own surplus, great quality, clothes a month ago to downsize home, amazed at making almost £500 in less than a month (also thanks to a friend helping with great photos!) and have seriously started researching this as a potentially my main income source. I must have watched over a hundred RUclips videos in a fortnight, and yours absolutely resonates the most with me. Pity for me you're not in the UK, as things are a bit different here in terms of sourcing etc., but as someone who left a professional career, after 100+ advice videos, although I have learnt something from all, I have found your business advice streets ahead of the crowd. So, much gratitude from me in the Lake District in England and I shall undoubtedly now be up very late binge watching a whole lot of your other videos! Best wishes, Amanda.
Wow... real numbers, real personal experience... this is the kind of data that a lot of "how to do it" videos lack. Thank you! (BTW, your "classy studio" looks a lot better than where I'm setting up.)
Hi 🤗. Just wanted to say thank you for your videos. Just watched like 5 in a row lol. I subscribed. Im physocally disabled on a fixed income with no real quality of life. 2 months ago I started selling fulltime on Ebay, and its given me the freedom to breathe easy for the first time since living with my parents. Truly, Ur inspiring! Keep up the good work.
Back to re-watch this video again. This last year has been very busy, started working a 2nd job. First job became toxic as I was working for a narcissist and it was time for a change. So back to focus on reselling, clearing out some inventory, listing a death pile, working just 1 part time job now, while I also studying for my 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training.
Thank you thank you thank you! You are giving this single mom right here a wealth of information that I can use to better my children’s lives. God bless!
You are SUCH AN AMAZING resource for us working moms! Thank you SO MUCH for all that you do! I have so many questions that I can't type out here but can you do a vid on your organizational system? How you price stuff on eBay? I look at comps and sales but my stuff still isnt moving well....
Ashley thanks! Your video is a learning tool for me. It broke down selling completely for those of us trying to figure out a way to bring in some extra money.
Thanks so much for your videos. I started following you on IG last week and you’ve been so helpful! You’re doing a such a wonderful job. You work hard and you work smart and it shows. Your content is great it and definitely brings value to others!
Thank you for your knowledge. I just took the leap into selling on eBay, and I am eager to expand into sales. I run a lawn care business through the summers, so I am going to make a passive income throughout the winter so I can focus on schooling. I agree freedom is a big aspect for us. Why work for a boss and have a tight schedule to make little money?
Great video...thank you for sharing so much useful information. Even greater than your business is being a mom that puts her children first. Best investment you will ever make!!
You are so amazing! I have considered doing this in the past but have been worried about getting enough inventory and making it worth my while! But thanks for the video and all the information!
First of all thank you for sharing some of your knowledge. First time seeing your videos. I am excited and scared at the same time to start selling and ebay. But I am going to try it out. Thank you again.
Thanks for the AWESOME VID! ASHLEY!! As far as accounting everything for when its TAX SEASON, how do you go about it? Keeping track of your gas mileage, supplies cost, etc..?? THANKS!
This video makes me want to cry bc I am also a mom and I have been searching and searching for something to do, I make even less than 700 every 2 weeks and I work for a huge hospital, I am very busy and work very hard and just want to put the time in for myself and family, you are truly an inspiration and thanks for your videos
Thank you for the information. I’m currently making $500 to $600 a week doing Postmates on the side in the Las Vegas area. I may add this to my schedule as well. Thanks again!
I’ve seen so many videos like this from experienced sellers and they leave out the biiiiig X factor on what makes those numbers possible... experience! If you don’t know what you’re doing, you’ll either buy, photograph and list a bunch of stuff that nobody wants (even if they only cost $1) because you don’t know what brands sell and what brands sit or you’ll spend so much time looking up every single thing before you buy it that you only find one $30 profitable item after a full day of sourcing (yes, a FULL day). Fifty $30 profitable items in one day? For a beginning seller? And then there is the time is takes to list it. This includes the time it takes to research sold comps and competitor comps, cleaning and testing (for electronics), plus photographs. I seem to spend all day and get three things listed after doing all of that so they have to be things that are over $30 profit each (or a total of $100). I spent three hours researching and cleaning two pairs of hiking boots last night (one had the model number rubbed off). Yes, they have a combined profit of around $80, but I haven’t even photographed them yet. Every new category has its own issues and problems. Oh, and let’s not even talk about shipping. How do you ship a home theatre receiver? Or athletic shoes that don’t fit in a shoe box? How do you clean nubuck? You go watch a few hours of RUclips videos. The learning curve is steep, and this stuff all takes a lot of time. Profitable clothing brands are gone the day they hit the floor at my Goodwills and there isn’t enough profit in the ones left to bother with. Shoes can have high profits, but they take a lot of time to clean and prep. I’ve spent an hour cleaning tiny pieces of grass out of the bottoms of nearly new golf shoes (Worth $90, but an hour just doing that!). You really worry about any negative feedback as a new seller so there’s a lot of pressure to make sure your few items are the best they can be. There isn’t much room to fudge and hope for the best. I have a bunch of leather dress shoes waiting for all of my supplies to treat the leather I ordered from Amazon before I can list them. Electronics can also have high profits... if they work. My first DVD and VCR combo unit I bought, worth $100, ate my VHS test tape. One reseller said about 1/3 of VCRs you buy from garage sales and thrift stores don’t work. That’s a lot of capital to lose for a beginner. And I just don’t feel comfortable whipping out my phone at garage sales trying to look everything up while some person is sitting in a chair watching me look at their stuff. I either don’t buy anything or buy stuff that later turns out to have no profit. I’ve learned the hard way that even free stuff costs you the time to research, test, clean, photograph and list it. It’s just not worth the time for $5 profit when it’s the same work to list $50 profit. Hard lessons learned. I would love to find fifty $30 items in one day and then list them all within the week. What a dream that would be!!!! I’m still trying to make this work, but it is haaaaaaard!!! I know I sound like I’m complaining, but I’ve bought into videos like this and then tried to apply them and I don’t get the same results because of all of the factors mentioned above, the biggest being lack of experience. I think experienced sellers forget what it’s like to not know anything, and how much time it takes to learn each little thing that helps you work smarter and faster. I am testing my other two VCRs tomorrow after unsuccessfully hunting for blank vhs tapes locally today. I hope they work.
Thanks for the realism - I have 40 things listed and have sold 2 items in 3 weeks, Ive priced commpetively - many resellers on you tube say you just need more volume but if I sell 2 out of 40, then surely with 120 items i'll sell 6 - unless I source better, better phtoos, better listings I guess.....does it ever happen that people have heaps listed that bsically never sells - that has a cost that needs to come off any profit you may make.........
This is such a great video. Glad I found your channel. I started moving some of my listings from Poshmark to EBay I have 500 on Posh. It takes time but it should work. I’m retired and this works.
I used to sell a lot then stopped for a while. I started it again this january and have managed to make $493.81 just off selling my dad’s old leather jackets.
Great information. Thanks for your pro-tips and pro-strats. Just subscribed and turn on the notification bell to get more of your straight forward content.
Awesome we sell online for 11 years and sell our snacks and food products. Amazon has grown our private label food it has been big work but we do 6 figures now
Many helpful tips, but the real goal is less items with a higher value. I list one day a week and only average 1 item a day. My last 90 days. 96 items listed, 93 sold. 7,964.88. Net is around 5500. Once you know how to eBay stop wasting time with bins, yard sales etc. Just buy wholesale and buy items that sell. Buy it dirt cheap and sell it cheap. Cause the real goal is to make money in a short of time as possible. Also try to keep buying and selling the same items. Hitting relist is so much easier then making new listings everyday. eBay seller since 05. 2 accts, 2 neutrals and never a negative.
Just advice from learning the hard way on eBay. I try to tell so many sellers who have been on as long as me or longer, quit complaining about sales and change your buying and selling habits. eBay is as simple or as hard as we make. Mostly. :)
Curt S I've been researching this and considering trying it out. This vid seems to suggest that ~$18k of inventory at about 35%pass-through to net ~$2k?? If so, how does one best nail down the pass through? Am I thinking about this properly? Thanks a million for your input, btw! :)
The less you think the easier it is. Remember your money is made when you acquire items to sell. Example 1. If you have no capitol, Dumpster dive. Free items, list to sell fast. Example 2. If you have capitol, buy wholesale. Product Sourcing 101 on FB is where you start. Nearly every wholesaler in the US is in that group. The tricks no matter which way someone starts is price the stuff to sell. 75% of what I sell is sold within 48 hours. A long tail item to me is 7 days. If it doesn't sell in 7 days my price is too high, something is wrong in the listing, or its just something no one wants. My click through as of today 2.2% Sales conversion is 2.4% Get it in and get it out. Its always better to sell 10 items at 50 a piece then two items at 100. Everyone wants top dollar yet they fail to realize eBay is the place for bargains.
Thank you for this video! You really put my mind at ease about starting an EBay business. I’m a recent grad and having a hard time finding a job that pays decent. I’m a single mom of 2 and I have to find a source of income to support us. This video makes it sound doable so Thanks a lot! 💛 (new subbie)
My issue is sourcing things to sell. I try to buy things I know and maybe I need to expand my horizons. On a typical sourcing trip I am coming away with 5-10 items to list.
Thank u! Great video . I’m very Interested in flipping books. Could u do more videos about that? Just downloaded my amazon seller app so super excited to get started . I have questions about older additions of text books, if that matters or how much ? How often do u source books? Do u have a scanner? What apps do u use?
Thank you for your awesome videos, this is my second month on ebay, Ebay take a lot of fees , but in the good side for me, All my items are from goodwill outlet, so super cheap. Every time you upload a new video , i feel with more Enthusiasm. 💕
Just found your channel through Lisa Stevens and have been binge watching your videos. Thank you for all the helpful tips! I'm looking to add this onto my side hustle this coming year 😊
You could have 1 listing and make $2,000 a month or you could have 500 listings and make $2,000 a month. It really depends on what you're selling and what your profit margin is. You just need to keep listing every day because that is what eBay's algorithm likes to see...an active store. If you can't afford to buy expensive things when starting out...go to Goodwill's etc. Build your cash flow. Then when the time is right you can branch off into other areas. It just takes time and patience. Just don't give up!
Love your content! Just subscribed 🙌 Thank you so much for the sharing your knowledge! Thank for your being concise, straight to the point, no gimmicks etc to get views. Much appreciated! 👍
I’ve applied many different techniques that stated to help me make money on the web within hours but none of them really worked. The good news is, my buddy told me about this money-making approach known as *MyOnlineSelling. Com* This strategy has allowed me to gain over a hundred bucks daily by selling products on ebay and amazon
Side note Ebay algorithm requires to list consistently or sales will decline fast no matter how many listings are up. I have 1400 items and didn't list two weeks it was horrible for sales. Good video thanks subscribed!

I think experienced sellers forget what it’s like to not know anything, and how much time it takes to learn each little thing that helps you work smarter and faster. I am testing my other two VCRs tomorrow after unsuccessfully hunting for blank vhs tapes locally today. I hope they work.
You have made some very valid points. Wholesaling through Amazon is a lot less leg work.
Great video! I currently have around 400 items online and I agree with your breakdown. Thanks for the insight!
This is such a great video. Glad I found your channel. I started moving some of my listings from Poshmark to EBay I have 500 on Posh. It takes time but it should work. I’m retired and this works.
Great video. Clear, to the point and simple to understand.
Super informative thanks for this awesome video!
That seems like something I can do. So I'm praying & pushing along. ❤️❤️❤️
Fantastic content! Thank You!
Extremely helpful video!
You are so inspirational! Thank you.

You also have a fellow grandmother. Perfect for me. 15 hours would be perfect.thanks because this is just what I need.
Amazon has grown our private label food it has been big work but we do 6 figures now
What do you use for packaging and how do you ship the packages? Do you send it from home through the post office, etc..?
im watching you from now on ....as a busy mom i like your video style
Curt S Best comment! Thumbs up!
My click through as of today 2.2%
Sales conversion is 2.4%
Get it in and get it out.
Thanks for your sharing
You're right when you say as long as your selling what people want. If it sells then it isn't a stupid item
Excellent guide on getting started, very practical and clear. Nice job! Thank you.
Ashley, do you have a video on your daily work flow? As well as your inventory storage and organization system?
Just posted it! Check out my latest video I got up today :)
My issue is sourcing things to sell. I try to buy things I know and maybe I need to expand my horizons. On a typical sourcing trip I am coming away with 5-10 items to list.
Love this video! straight to the point, honest and realistic. :D
Great video love the honesty
Thank u! Great video . I’m very Interested in flipping books. Could u do more videos about that? Just downloaded my amazon seller app so super excited to get started . I have questions about older additions of text books, if that matters or how much ? How often do u source books? Do u have a scanner? What apps do u use?
Thank you for the advice and the heads up on this, will be subbing so I can learn more of the ropes from you.
Loved this!! And YES to that freedom!! That's what I want! 🙌🏼
Short sweet and to the point! Love!
Great video! Thanks Ashley!
Thank for the video it was very helpful ❤️
This is great! Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you for your awesome videos, this is my second month on ebay, Ebay take a lot of fees , but in the good side for me, All my items are from goodwill outlet, so super cheap.
Every time you upload a new video , i feel with more Enthusiasm. 💕
How much is that , on fees ?
Thank you Hustle Mom- u rock!!!
Just found your channel through Lisa Stevens and have been binge watching your videos. Thank you for all the helpful tips! I'm looking to add this onto my side hustle this coming year 😊
Have you ever shared your spreadsheets you use?
Thank You!
Just subscribed 🙌
Thank you so much for the sharing your knowledge!
Great video! Good job.
How do you organize all your listings in your bins once an item sell?
Side note Ebay algorithm requires to list consistently or sales will decline fast no matter how many listings are up. I have 1400 items and didn't list two weeks it was horrible for sales. Good video thanks subscribed!
