I played a game back in 90s that had missions in Cuba - it was kind of a grand theft auto game. I said when i get old i wanted to go for the old school buildings and the style of car 🚙. I love the way Cuba 🇨🇺 is not in a rush to modernize everything.
A lot of people online these days only travel to certain locations to record and take pics at their 5 start resorts to post online. So appreciate YOUR appreciation for the actual PLACE and culture. Also interesting knowledge you brought up that access is limited here.
Did you experience any stomach issues after drinking daquiris or other drinks made with ice? Wondering if it's sketchy to have those drinks or eat salads with lettuce that may have been rinsed in their water. Heard it might cause stomach issues? Thanks for the great video content. Heading to Cuba in 2 weeks!
No issues while being there! I will say that when me and my partner returned home, we were pooping alot haha but not in a painful way. We just noticed when we got back, we were going to the bathroom more frequently that week. We made sure to only drink bottled water while there and also pack your own snacks in your luggage before going there. Like protein bars, chips, everything. Pack more than you think you would need.
Thanks! Me and my boyfriend went for 5 days as well. It is very important to budget everything out beforehand, so we added up how much the excursions we booked with our airbnb host would cost plus the taxi ride to/from the airport, and money for food and drinks. I think total we brought $900 cash with us, but only kept like max $200 on us everyday and kept the rest in the safe of our airbnb. I would exchange like $50 US for pesos (if you find a good rate like $1=150) and keep that on you as well for little stuff. Let me know if there’s anything else i can answer!
It's a country under siege. Cannot receive medical supplies. That is as cruel as can be. Please petition the USA government to end the siege and let children have medicine.
abnb.me/yhED8Ulpdxb I booked directly on airbnb! The hosts responded super quick and there was also a property manger Felix who was so helpful and responded very quickly as well. We booked the taxi to/from the airport, and the Vinales and Varadero day trips, and salsa dancing lessons through our hosts as well (and paid cash for our activities the day of). Very safe airbnb as there were many security measures like extra locks to get into our unit and the local cell phone they provided. Let me know id you have any other questions!
The most standard rate I experienced everywhere’s in Cuba was $1= 120 pesos so $1000x120= 120,000 pesos. However some places, people were desperate for American dollars so the rate would be 150 pesos for $1. I hope that helps, I know it is a bit confusing
Hey I am going to Cuba in a couple of days. Do you mind sharing what taxi service you use yo get from the sirport to your airbnb? If you have a phone number or name? Also, did you pay in US dollars for the taxi?
I booked the rides through my airbnb host who had trusted drivers! I dont have a name, im sorry. But make sure you get a quote before they start driving! It cost me $30 american dollars to get from the havana airport to central havana
I did not smell/see drug activity. Most people on streets would offer Cigars but i was warned not to take from locals bc it was a scam. Only buy cigars from reputable vendors/ direct from farm.

About $6 USD. Depends on the rate, as most restaurants were $1= 120 pesos
So i have a question so if bring let's say $1,000 how much would that be in cuba(pesos)

Hi,did you see drugs or felt smell of cannabis in cuba streets or neighborhood?what was your perception about that topic there?
I did not smell/see drug activity. Most people on streets would offer Cigars but i was warned not to take from locals bc it was a scam. Only buy cigars from reputable vendors/ direct from farm.
Cuba has a zero policy on cannabis

Is it really 750.00 ($30) for a cocktail in the Hemingway bar? 😵💫
I go to Cuba in March.
120 pesos= $1 US, so it was 750/120=$6.25 so under $7!
