Those who believe in democracy should know that these children and their parents have exercised their right not to participate. Everybody has freedom to do what they want, if a student does not want to attend that celebration, they can, it is their right, what they can't do it verbally or physically assault those people. This teacher is out of line for not know what is allowed and what is not. I am sure she will not have any issue if a Muslim student was verbally or physically assaulted, s/he would probably be supporting those who would harm Muslims!
