I use tenacious tape which is basically the highest rated version of that kind of patch. You are supposed to let it dry for 24 hours for maximum adherance though or even apply heat. It works regardless but letting it sit does indeed work better.
Yeah I recently got an inflatable hot tub and have only had it 5 days and it seemed to have lost a decent amount of air, pumped it up so it was nice and firm and filled it, and today I had to empty to clean it out because I am currently waiting on a replacement heater pump unit that just didn't work out of the box, and while emptying the hot tub I noticed it was nowhere near as firm as it was, and as all the water was drained, it was pretty low on air, making me think there is a leak somewhere. I do have patches and will try this out. It is fairly big so may take some time but here is hoping it isn't an issue and just how the inflatable hot tubs are, or if there is a hole, be easily patched.
This works !!! I did have to go around 2 times then the 2 tiny and I mean tiny holes started to bubble up patched them an horray !! Thanks for the video its 100 today here in NV so now I can cool off!!
I did something different. I have a rectangle pool just like in the video. I inflated my pool with air, held the pool up to my ear as I walked around it. Eventually, as you get closer to where the hole is, the sound of air coming out gets louder. I passed my hand over that area, and I was able to find the hole. Hopefully, where you live, there isnt a lot of traffic noise, but even if there is a lot of noise in the neighborhood, try it anyway. Thank you for recommending to cut the patch in a small circle! I had no idea, so I did a bigger rectangle, which as you said, came off when I deflated the pool.
my patches didn't work but I didn't cut them down to the size of the hole. is that crucial for the patch to work? I cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol and smoothed on the patch, taking out any air holes. but some air got through over night and you can see lil air tunnels in the patch.
Rounding the edges help to stay on longer, but wouldn’t help sealing it in the first place. Make sure to fully dry the alcohol before putting on the patch. Sticking the patch on while the pool is inflated requires an immediate strong bond. The kitesurf patches I use stick immediately.
@@RandomDIY09 I must have several tiny holes or one big tear as it deflates by 50% within 45 min or so. Odd how I can't find it. I went on the outside of pool, squeezing, did the soapy water, checking especially the seam, then went IN the pool to look to on the inside seams. Be darned can't find it. Will giveit one more try then will stuff it with both foam pool noodles, and actually I think the large liter size empty plastic soda bottles capped, bet that will do the job as a last resort.
@@RandomDIY09 Did all that could not find it. BUT I DID find it, by putting on 2 pair of reading glasses (or use magnifier glass but then you only have one hand free) but that way the tube top was easier to see the horizontal pencil like rip it had.. using my hands pushing around I could then see it was a tear as it opened slightly...it was almost 1/2 in tear, fixed it with rubber shoe glue and a bit of rounded flex tape on top of that. I must Still have a few pinhole leak as it is almost OK as it is, as once the full pressure of air is out it stays inflated but not as firm...so this is the last year of this pool anyway so I just bought a can of CLEAR FLEX Spray that puts a rubberized coating on a surface, will put that on top where the drier areas of vinyl are (on top of tube) and around where my leak was. I think either a squirrel was in the shed I stored it in, or I can't lift it out I drag the pool out may have hit a splinter in the old wood shed floor? We have no kids only I go in it and all I do is float.

Hi, nothing to do with the hot weather, you need to pump up the lounger fully (so enough air can come out of the puncture and create a bubble) then try with soapy spray, hope you fix the problem✌🏽

Gorilla glue works amazingly well. I've had rotten luck with those patches. The inflatable pool patches are cheap-ass pieces of Saran wrap.
I bought that "Flex" seal..the one they show on tv that they lined a boat with? I'm not pissing around! lol

Thank you for the video. Is the sticky tape a special one or regular sticky tape the kind we use for booklets and stuff?

Thanks, I have such a problem, I'm about to screw it up.👍🌼🌺
What is the name of this tape ???
Tear Aid works well. Look on Amazon or kite shops for:
Tear-Aid Type A Kitesurfing Kite Bladder Repair Patch
Thank you for sharing, good job bro👍👍👍👍👍👍

Use shoe goo.

I used Tear-Aid:

I have the exact same pool so thanks for sharing. I will use this method.

Did find the holes with this technique, but the patch kit that came with my pool did NOT work!
Shoe goo works the best.
Thank you bro 🙏 God bless 😁
but how do you fix it at the seam?
You fix it simply by buying another pool.
@@pmcccar would be nice if that was an option, its like telling a homeless person to JUST BUY A HOUSE🤣
Thank you ❤️
Great way! ✅ I found it easily thanks
Thank you for sharing
I did that still can't find it; didn't see any big bubbles just the little ones from the soapy water. Will try again
Make sure to inflate it until it's as firm as it can be, and then push down or lean on it to increase the pressure inside the inflatable.

Sir for big hole what to sir
The kite repair kit can cover rather large holes, you just need to get the larger patch.
Shoe goo works the best.
How?
Where can I buy this
For example www.amazon.com/Tear-Kitesurfing-Bladder-Repair-Patch/dp/B071CQCCP4
I can't find my hole....
Danke
Nice, thank you !!!

Ya that was sheer luck. I e done this with inflatable lounger and still cannot find it. It's been extremely hot so maybe that's part of issue

Shake it before
Please name beta da 😢😢😢😢
A soapy sponge works much better than spray bottle..
