Maddy saw Bob in a vision, Ronette was afraid when she saw Bob's picture and we had Leland connecting dots : he knew Bob, he met Bob ! It's the first time that we have such a major clue to explain who Bob is, why maybe he's here, why Laura etc. Donna is searching for informations so much that she didn't see what we guessed earlier : Maddy and James, it can be a real thing. Loved to see that Albert is staying, loved to have Lucy facing Andy.

The thing with the stools in the hospital room was the episode director and co-creator David Lynch finding the actor who played the Sheriff trying to adjust it before the scene began shooting. He found it so funny, he just threw it in there as something funny.
