your broken accented English LOL .....perhaps my oral English is not good , from my point he is speaking perfect English though .you said "your khampa dialect would have been perfect", this is the problem .I can speak lhasa dialect Tibetan ,when I travel in khampa area ,they don't speak Tibetan to me even I speak Tibetan to them ,it's weird ,I guess in the deep level of their thought their khampa dialect is different from lhasa dialect ,khampa dialect and lhasa dialect are like two different languages ,so they insist on speaking Mandarin to me all the time ."most of your viewers are Tibetan speakers", I guess he knows it ,and most of the viewers are lhasa Tibetan dialect speakers .....that is the reason he changes into English unconsciously ,can you understand that speaking khampa dialect to tons of lhasa dialect viewers in his channel is weird to him ?

I am Khampa myself and have travelled to my hometown a few times and didn't experience what you were describing, as I speak with Utsang dialect but don't speak Mandarin and can understand Kham. To be honest, if you speak mainstream Kham dialect from Chamdo/Markham/Bathang, central Tibetan Utsang speakers can mostly understand. Look up Khampa TV on YT, which has wonderful programming that most Tibetans can understand. For sure certain parts of Kham if they speak their local dialects and especially Amdo, Gyarong, Golog, it is not intelligeable. For sure I was joking and trying to make a point on this vlogger but do understand his predicament. At least he is not speaking Chinese haha.
