    Oh, I remember this guy, the lawyer who represented Ted for a long time. I would venture to say he was the closest to Ted on many levels. Bundy was crafty and new what he was doing. Ted chose to share his most intimate details with someone so he could not only replay the crimes, but he found someone he could trust and pour out his soul too. This guy really did get close to Ted. I disagree with all the comments about him taking advantage of this opportunity to share his experiences with us all of the details Ted shared with him. Yeah, he sounds like a guy, OK, a lawyer, who just wants to make a quick buck but there is more to this guy if you new what he went thru. Having his fiance murdered in the same way and Ted choosing this guy to share his most intimate details, mainly due to client-attorney privledge, it nearly drove him nuts having to endure many of the sick games Ted would play with and on him. I'd love to read what all he went thru and what Ted shared with him. This guy is no hack, he's for real and I'm rushing out and buy this book.

      Wrong! Bundy didn’t want to die, that’s ridiculous as he fought all the way up till the very day of his execution to receive more time. He used ‘Bones for Time’ and when that didn’t work, he went the insanity route, which he loathed because it meant he was incompetent to others and he never wanted to be perceived that way, however he was simply desperate. Bundy turned the offer down simply because he thought he was smarter than all those around him and he could play the better lawyer. He was a malignant narcissistic sociopath and this is how they always think as it’s who they are. Please do actual research on Bundy before posting false information.

    Why is everyone so against this attorney writing a book about Ted Bundy? Don’t you want to know why he did what he did? Ted Bundy does not deserve any special treatment nor any special privacy. He was a ruthless and horrible killer. I, for one, am curious as to what went on in his mind. It is helpful always to know why these horrible people do what they do so as to avoid encountering someone like that myself. I think other women need to know this kind of thing as well. I don’t know why anyone would defend Ted Bundy in any way. He doesn’t deserve anything. He murdered and tortured women for years. If he wants to make money on a book let him. I don’t think any attorney makes enough money to have to defend a criminal like this.

    I am quite certain Browne is lying about the extent of Bundy's killing. He says Bundy signed a release form enabling Browne to disclose what he had told him, but that he (Browne) was too disgusted with the subject and waited some 20 years to start writing his story. Well, if indeed there were over unconfirmed 70 murders when Bundy was executed (1989), it would have been Browne's civic DUTY to let the families of the victims know in 1989, and save them many years of heartbreak.

      About him being an opportunist, most of us are, but I doubt he is lying or that he does this strictly for the money, with no genuine care for the case and the victims. Apparently Bundy researched him thoroughly and "chose" him. Even moreso, apparently the guy's lover/wife idk was killed in a similar manner to how Bundy killed most of his victims, I imagine that leaves you with quite the impact.

      What use will that do? What would you like to do for the victims? (giving them plenty of money and sympathy might be nice). Nevertheless, in my opinion, it is a very morbid thing to focus on the victims and there may be 100+ women (and one man) and we don't know them all! It would only upset us and not achieve much to focus on the victims, what can we learn from them? We need to know as much as possible about monsters like Bundy so we can protect others from being killed, we can learn how to better recognize them and understand how they work in the hope that future generations adapt and have a better survival advantage when future Bundy-like monsters lurk on the face of the earth. One suggestion was for women to learn karate and recognize the signs that someone may have antisocial personality disorders (psychopath/sociopath), therefore defending themselves and not giving a dangerous person a chance in the first place. What do you reckon @Pattiepie55?

That's why he returned to bodies, dressed them up, lay with them, kept the heads. If you research him I think you will agree that the above characterization is accurate. To have and to hold she who would not have him (i.e. Stephanie Brooks). I personally don’t believe Bundy killed 100. I could well be wrong because it’s an unfounded opinion but it strikes me that Bundy was using whatever means possible to stay his execution. I suspect he thought that if he could chalk up the numbers the authorities would want to keep him alive to close the cases.

    • @flaviacj9177
      @flaviacj9177 2 года назад

      Yes. I'm pretty sure Ted lied and extrapolated the numbers to brag or confuse the authorities. Surely there must have been more anonymous women that he must have killed besides the ones that went public, I even believe that his first victim was Ann Marie in 1961 and that he killed a dozen women before 1974, totaling 30 or 40 girls, plus or less. But more than 100 ? Total bullshit.

      that's only because in the USA the work of a lawyer is horribly misinterpreted.
      When they put this in the lawbooks, that everybody deserves a lawyer and that lawyer has to do everything he can to get the best sentence possible, they never intended lawyers to actually free guilty people.
      The idea was to defend as good as he can, but NOT regardless of him being guilty. Defend him to achieve a fair sentence, that's how it's supposed to be.

    • @mickeypopa

      James-Euro Bond
      Yeah, well, try telling that to the lawyers themselves because they don't seem to give a damn about morals or justice, they only care about using a flawed system to their personal advantage.
      And it's not because they misinterpreted their job, it's because they're greedy and immoral.

      I wouldn't buy his book because he is making money from crime information. He should give half of the money he makes on the book to the family of the victims. This lawyer should have told police it was Ted. Life is greater than a job. Bundy chose him as his lawyer because he realized he was a weak lawyer that would never rat him out and that's exactly what happened.

    Seems like this guy is pretty satisfied with himself. He singlehandedly arranged an amazing plea deal for Bundy (who declined the offer). He dated beautiful women (the kind Bundy liked), and he has 2 amazing female attorneys that don’t work WITH him but FOR him. He also wanted us to be sure and take note that he attended law school in D.C. His tone, affect, and body language reflect his self absorption as well. I wasn’t sure how much more info we would learn about Ted Bundy from him. After all, by his own admission, he got most of the scoop from a 4 hour interview in which Bundy cried which was unusual for a psychopath.
    Out of curiosity I read the amazon reviews of his book, and what do you know, it was more of an autobiography than an inside scoop on Bundy. Too bad.
