Thank you squeeb much! Out of curiosity, is there anything in particular about how I do it that contributes to why this appeals to you (other than the fact that it's Fauna haha)? I'm curious because I've tried to just implement my own sense of humor for the most part while intentionally avoiding some particular areas/subjects and editing styles
@@Iniwid Maybe its just your sense of humor (plus the fact that its fauna lol). Wait what actually might be the biggest aspect of why I enjoy your editing is that you don't make these microcuts to construct words out of multiple syllables and stuff. That always makes it nearly unwatchable for me. You find ways to weave a comedic narrative out of bigger chunks and thats great I think :3

I've received a lot of positive feedback and love so far (which still blows my mind and fills me with so much motivation!), but this is the most specific feedback I've received so far. I'm glad you enjoy that element of my editing style! It's definitely an intentional decision precisely for the reason you called out - allowing the viewer to see that a lot of the zaney/whacky stuff they're hearing is stuff that Fauna has *actually* said (maybe with some modifications of little interjections ofc) makes it feel a lot funnier and... representative of Fauna (if that makes sense?) I think I've only had to sorta splice words to get a particular vowel/partial word sound twice so far, which was in episode 4. One was due to just the fact that I couldn't get a good/clear sound bit of Fauna saying "on a" during that stream, so I made do with cutting of the F of her saying "Fauna" LOL. The other was the "f-f-f-f-ing" joke, which obviously needed the "-ing" grabbed from another word, but it's something that I reserve for very specific circumstances =w= One of the things I've actively tried to keep in mind is to stay true to Fauna's sense of humor and overall... style? I've made her say some funny/cursed stuff in my vids so far, but there's definitely a distinct line that I won't cross, such as like overly lewd stuff or the curse words that she doesn't say. I just wanna spread the word of how funny and entertaining she is, and making something that's completely transformative and misrepresentative ain't the way to do that x) Sorry for commenting your ear off - I just really appreciated your feedback and wanted to work through the thoughts that came to me!
@@Iniwid See, if you're going for a specific effect for extra spice in a few places i think this "vowel editing" can be really funny, its just when thats the whole extend of what editors are doing that it becomes tedious. I'm really glad to give feedback, especially when its people like you creating wonderful fanart for hololive. 💚 Also I think you are doing a great job with representing faunas amazing sense of humor and I think its really cool that you layed out these principles for youself. Please keep at it, I will be watching!
