I have seen Messi at his peak get over powered physically. I have seen important games where Messi was neutralized and couldn't do anything where with Maradona and Ronaldo if they wanted to win and make a difference , there was no solution against them.

The biggest mistake that Ronaldo 9 made was his move from Barcelona to Inter Milan. Because the Italian Serie A during that era was extremely difficult and was highly defensive.
Later, he faced so many injuries and his career ends with a few Ballon D’ors.
However, if he were stayed at Barcelona he would have been scoring an average of 50 goals per season and won at least the 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 Ballon D’ors!😮

@@jorgemartinbg I'd put Maradona instead of Cruijff, although it's very tough. It's hard to leave people like Cristiano, Maldini, Beckenbauer, and Di Stefano out, too. Pele and Messi are the only two that cannot be replaced. The other two is up to interpretation, really
yes, it is incredible how some players don't make the cut! I figured you'd say Diego, but in my eyes Cruyff was a more complete player, able to play multiple positions and a better athletic specimen. In my eyes Cruyff is the greatest European player ever. I like Cr7 but lets not forget him and messi are playing in a much cleaner era thus allowing them to play more games and fill up the stat sheets. The tribune are not yet like today tribune, still with high fence so when the goal happen the supporter will go to the segregate fence and act like crazy 😢 really missed 90s la liga
