Starkvarg har alldrig haft 80hp och har inte det heller på den uppdaterade versionen heller! Och så har dom inte över 900nm och det står på deras sida!
So obviously you have way more power than your tires will ever allow. You just don't physically have enough of a contact patch to allow full power. Any stiction you just instantly blast through. So I would suggest fine tuning your throttle to where you can peg it from a dead stop on a straightaway without all the wheel spinning you are getting. Yes it powers through that but it's going to catch the wrong way one time and you're going to be sideways before you even know what happened. You are hitting all the fun speeds very quickly and everyone's having fun burning up tires but remember drivability, the control of the power, that needs to be a thing. If it was that cart vs gas ones you will just blast past them. Eventually someone else will build an event faster kart and then someone else and etc etc. Obviously you will move in to other projects but you could be responsible for kicking off a whole other class of racing. So drivabilty. New class new design. Remove the other limits bring set for you by the current configuration of these little things. You needed more weight up front...how about double the torque and AWD. People think when you add a second motor you are using way power. On the peaks yes so from 0 to whatever crazy speed is the most amps you are going to pull. Once you are rolling that goes way down. You are only using more power if you aren't moving and that is because an inverter uses power just being turned on and your speed controller is a 3 phase inverter. Good size wave controllers should be at least 95% efficient so it's not terrible. If the controller is on it is using some power and not like 5v standby power. So if you are sitting still or in stop and go and then not go traffic then yes one motor and controller is probably better. Aside from that though the better way to look at is that the motor is a big resistor. What happens when you put 2 resistors in parallel...you cut your resistance in half and you double your ampacity. Higher voltages are more efficient, and what you see now is manufacturers stating the battery in kilowatt hours vs amp hours and using that metric makes way more sense actually. Why? Because physics. It takes x amount of watts to move x amount of weight in x amount of time. Watt hours gives you that number. It's about the number of cells in the battery. A roughly 200 cell battery can be configured for many different voltages and you are going to go about the same distance. You just need to have enough cells per row to provide the amps you need to achieve the desired speeds, anything over that is just more range. This is why your 360v Varg doesn't have to have a crazy big battery. I see a lot of people focused on amp hours and they must think the battery will be insanely large. I'm coming from an ebike background here and there are some people that think 72v is high voltage. I can't imagine owning anything less than that and they think it's something to aspire to. I haven't seen every episode here I really need to see the controller and other guts of this little beast. I just ordered a 168v controller so I need to build a duplicate of my existing 84v(72v)battery and get some statorade in this QS273. I'm curious how far we can go with this voltage advantage before the inverter solutions aren't portable enough for the application we want to use them for. Are 600v+ controllers just giant honking slabs of aluminum, will we just be driving a brick with wheels. Will the track be full of grown men driving machined blocks of aluminum at crazy speeds and squealing in excitement like little girls? I'm giggling just thinking about it. How far can we go? Hey guys watch this... Sign me up. lol
