I love mine. It served me well in some torrential rain we had in California in January. The one thing I would change is an extra snap at the top. The one in the middle is nice, but the top of the jacket still flaps around a bit. I like the side pockets for stowing my gloves. And when the jacked is rolled into a waist wrap, those two side pockets are also accessible. I love how many pockets this jacket has. Works for the consumer offering an affordable highly versatile jacket for training and racing mandatory kit. I do exactly the same Kevin and put all of my mandatory kit in a dry bag and pack it down nice and tight. However I don't tend to put my waterproof jacket in there because I want it to hand so I can grab it out easily if it starts to rain 👍 The new 10L Kinder is a great race vest for the money, you'd struggle to find a better one for that price point. Good looking jacket. I agree it could probably lose some pockets, and is a touch heavy, but from what they've said they were going for functionality over minimalist weight and didn't want something that "just met mandatory kit requirements". For the price it's hard to argue with. 👍
I totally agree Stu, the last thing I want is a waterproof jacket that just ticks a mandatory box! I want my jacket to actually offer me protection from the elements for long periods of time, which the Exmoor Jacket does. I have to say the hood design is excellent, and it's probably the only soft peak running hood I've used that doesn't need a peaked cap under it to stop it flopping about (mentioning no names, Salomon)Yet to try the jacket out for real but first impressions are really good.

Thanks Colin, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It's a real shame that they can't deliver to Europe at the moment because of Brexit! Hopefully this will be sorted out in the future. I'd check the sizing chart on the Harrier website but I was wearing a medium in the video and it fitted well. The whole point of the pleats in the back of the jacket are to allow you to wear it over your race vest without having to go up on size. Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel it's really appreciated 🙏😊
@@Run4Adventure many manu thanks for you reply! to be honest, i somehow missed the part in your review about the pleats! i will pre-order a jacket on the 26.11.21 yes it is a shame that they do not deliver to germany/europe, although on their web site, was to read that they are hopefull to have a solution soon, perhaps in 2022. stay healthy and keep on running... regards, colin
@@colinhuntley9729 yes the pleats are there so you don't have to size up. Customs and export charges are no better I'm afraid so we don't have a solution for EU that is close I'm afraid.
I like the amount of pockets. Why remove them just because someone doesn't like pockets? It seems to be a backwards, less choice option. I use mine for hiking too, so they come in handy, even moreso if my jacket is over my running or hiking pack, so I can now put my gloves etc in the pockets, as I can't get to them easily if my packs underneath.
I've got no issues with pockets on hiking jackets but I'm not sure they're needed on running jackets. I'm not a fan of running with things in the pocket of a jacket, plus I want my running waterproof jacket to be lightweight and packable. Added pockets adds a lot of weight and bulk to a jacket and I never use them. This is just my personal opinion and running kit is a very personal thing, if pockets work for you it's great 👍 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Great review again Lloyd. How would you size the jacket I’d normally buy medium then not sure it would fit over a pack? I really don’t like running with a poorly fitted jacket flapping around in the wind.
Hi Andrew I was wearing a medium in the video and I tend to always run my jackets in a medium. Like Kate said it's probably best to check out the sizing chart to get the best idea 👍 Thanks for watching and supporting the channel its appreciated 🙏

Great video and perfect timing!!! Looking to get my first waterproof running jacket and this looks AWESOME!!! Does Harrier ship to the United States and also how is the wind proofing on the jacket? 🤔 Thanks for a great video!!!
Really glad you enjoyed the video. You have to check on the Harrier website about shipping? It's a great jacket for the money and wind proofing is good 👍 Thanks for watching 🙏
Great priced jacket brilliant thorough review Lloyd one thing I'd like to ask did you find condensation build up inside the jacket at any point during testing (I know it can vary depending on how hard you work your body) as I hate that damp feeling inside the jacket that leads to coldness that I get from my other jackets.
I didn't find it to bad Michael. The material is quite heavy and it's not as breathable as some of my much more expensive jackets but I think the pit zips help to give it a bit more ventilation 👍 Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
Great review Lloyd, thanks. I note you didn't really talk about the breathability at all due to it's price point. The price is a valid point of difference, and this jacket does represent awesome value for money BUT that breathability rating is very low, I suspect you would get pretty hot n sweaty in it. I am not knocking it in the slightest, just pointing out that out.
The breathability was actually pretty good in the Exmoor, I think having the addition of pit zips helped. Don't get me wrong I've run in jackets that are a lot more breathable but it performs well considering the price point. Like you said it's had to get a high level of breathability at this price. You tend to find the waterproof jackets with those high breathability ratings are also pretty expensive so it definitely comes at a price! 👍 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Thanks for selling me on the Harrier Loyd! One thing - how hot and sweaty would it get (on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being a bargain bin bag) on a run on a sunny day with pouring rain? Yup, we have those here in india, 35deg C tropics FTW 😂
No problem, glad you enjoyed the video. If you put any waterproof jacket on in 35deg C you're going to feel very hot and sweaty! 🥵 I personally would never put a jacket on in those temperatures and I think the Harrier jacket would really struggle in those conditions. Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏😊
@@Run4Adventure thanks! Actually meant it’s about 35 year round. Rainy days dip to the late 20s, some days lower still. But warmer rainy days than you would have in the UK. Getting into a marathon training block, and would like to stay relatively dry in the rain while I put the long miles in.
@@runsim_run oh ok. The Harrier jacket is designed more for wet, cold British winters. I would suggest having a look at some of the lightweight Raidlight waterproof jackets 👍
Hi I love this jacket and it’s price but quick question does the other much lighter jackets you mentioned have ventilation as the Gore 7 doesn’t and I’m just worried for it’s price I might as well ware a black bag as there’s no ventilation and I’m I Oslo Norway ⛈❄️☃️ and I’d like a jacket I can ware both summer and winter. Ps so far I just run for fun no races.
A lot of the lightweight waterproof jackets don't have ventilation, like pit zips etc because it adds weight. I personally think if you want the jacket for winter and summer the Harrier jacket would be to heavy and warm to use in summer, it's definitely a cold weather jacket 👍 Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel Doug 🙏

I would have to say so Wes 👍 I've never run in the 2 in 1 Inov-8 vest but I did recently review their Race Ultra 5 vest and was really impressed with it 😊 Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
@@Run4Adventure Thanks Loyd, love the channel, always a pleasure to watch. The inov-8 5 version is pretty much the 2 in 1 just without the 10 litre attachment.
Same here, I got the medium men's and the arms are massive. I'm going to return it but worried the small would be to small. Also no small in stock at the moment.
Oh that's a shame Peter 🤔 The arms are quite loose on the jacket but it didn't cause me any issues when testing the jacket out. Hope you get it sorted out and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
I'll be the contrary one, and say I have no issue with the arms, easy to roll up for ventilation and can't say I find them over baggy, as it works well over a thinsulate jacket for really cold wet conditions on the fells.

This is just my personal opinion and running kit is a very personal thing, if pockets work for you it's great 👍
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Great review again Lloyd. How would you size the jacket I’d normally buy medium then not sure it would fit over a pack? I really don’t like running with a poorly fitted jacket flapping around in the wind.
You're best to measure chest size with a tape measure and check against our size charts :)
Hi Andrew
I was wearing a medium in the video and I tend to always run my jackets in a medium. Like Kate said it's probably best to check out the sizing chart to get the best idea 👍
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel its appreciated 🙏
Just a small reflective logo is a deal-breaker for me. More reflective detailing is much needed, especially on black. Seems decent though.
It's a great jacket for the money Jonathan 👍

@@Run4Adventure you're very welcome and thanks. Just discovered you! Do you have a sunglasses review video? My dhb pair just broke and I need some new ones 😂
@@Jon-hb6gx We sure do Jonathan, there's a few sunglasses videos on the channel 👍
Great review! Can you stove the hood away?
Thanks very much, really glad you enjoyed the video 👍
You can't stove the hood away on the Exmoor Jacket unfortunately. It's actually a feature that you don't see on many running specific waterproof jackets anymore? 🤔
Thanks for watching 🙏
Why can’t I find these jackets in Australia?
I may have missed it in the review but what size is the jacket and how tall / wide is Lloyd please?
Hi Steve
I was wearing a medium and I'm 6ft 1" and a 38" chest 😊
Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel it's appreciated 🙏
First 👍..i love your Pink Run4Adventure sweater lol 👏👏👏🤣🇫🇷
Thanks, I'm glad you like the sweater! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🙏😊
Question please. I have bright orange jacket. As a man can I wear this colored jacket for running ? Thanks.
Of course you can! 👍🙂
It's a great jacket for the money and wind proofing is good 👍
Thanks for watching 🙏
Great priced jacket brilliant thorough review Lloyd one thing I'd like to ask did you find condensation build up inside the jacket at any point during testing (I know it can vary depending on how hard you work your body) as I hate that damp feeling inside the jacket that leads to coldness that I get from my other jackets.
I didn't find it to bad Michael. The material is quite heavy and it's not as breathable as some of my much more expensive jackets but I think the pit zips help to give it a bit more ventilation 👍
Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
It looks like it would suit the trail runner better with all them pockets, my omm kamlieka is needing replacing, so I'll have a go at one of these
Great review Lloyd, thanks.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Thanks for selling me on the Harrier Loyd! One thing - how hot and sweaty would it get (on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being a bargain bin bag) on a run on a sunny day with pouring rain? Yup, we have those here in india, 35deg C tropics FTW 😂
No problem, glad you enjoyed the video. If you put any waterproof jacket on in 35deg C you're going to feel very hot and sweaty! 🥵
I personally would never put a jacket on in those temperatures and I think the Harrier jacket would really struggle in those conditions.
@@Run4Adventure excellent, I think they ship to india. Thank you!
Hi Lloyd. What size jacket were you wearing in this review?
I was wearing a medium 👍
I like the idea of it forming its own bum bag….but how well does that work, does it stay put when running?
It does pack down ok but I'm not sure it would work that well while running? Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏😊
I personally think if you want the jacket for winter and summer the Harrier jacket would be to heavy and warm to use in summer, it's definitely a cold weather jacket 👍
Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel Doug 🙏
@@Run4Adventure hi thx for your reply. Either way the price is so good it’s still worth it and you know Norway has a green and a white winter 😂
Looks like a seriously good jacket, particularly for the price! I first heard of Harrier because of your channel, and I'm hoping that one day, they'll offer the products here in the US. Great video and content my friend! Keep up the amazing work!!!
Thanks Chad that's very kind 👍
It's a great jacket for the price point and I'm sure Harrier will eventually be available world wide 😊
Hope you're fit and well and thanks for watching 🙏
They are available in the US. We have all international shipping info on our delivery page.
is 15,000mm not enough to pass mandatory gear check?
15,000mm will pass most mandatory kit checks 👍
Off topic….but is Salomon adv skin 12 set still your fave vest? In the market after years with Ultimate Direction. Also considering the inov 8 ultra pro 2 in 1. Your opinion greatly appreciated 👍
I would have to say so Wes 👍
I've never run in the 2 in 1 Inov-8 vest but I did recently review their Race Ultra 5 vest and was really impressed with it 😊
Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
@@Run4Adventure Thanks Loyd, love the channel, always a pleasure to watch. The inov-8 5 version is pretty much the 2 in 1 just without the 10 litre attachment.
@@wesarnold2408
I thought it was. It's a really well thought out running vest 👌
Thanks for the kind words and it's great you're enjoying the channel 😁
I found the jacket to be too loose on the arms. It fits perfectly on my body, but the arms are way too baggy.
Same here, I got the medium men's and the arms are massive. I'm going to return it but worried the small would be to small. Also no small in stock at the moment.
Oh that's a shame Peter 🤔
The arms are quite loose on the jacket but it didn't cause me any issues when testing the jacket out.
Hope you get it sorted out and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
I'll be the contrary one, and say I have no issue with the arms, easy to roll up for ventilation and can't say I find them over baggy, as it works well over a thinsulate jacket for really cold wet conditions on the fells.
Too heavy for an ultra? Also, is this 3 layer jacket?
It would be a bit to heavy for me to use in a race, I prefer a lighter jacket. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏😊
A bit late with the comment but that looks like a great jacket indeed! However I am very vey disappointed that Harrier do not ship to Europe! Seeing the review I was really looking forward to have one... So sad :( I finally went with Janji's Rainrunner 30k/30k vest with an extra 90 EUR
UPDATE: Harrier should be able to export to Europe before XMAS 2021!
It's a real shame that Harrier aren't shipping to Europe at the moment but it's not their fault unfortunately. I'm sure they would love to be able to but with all the madness surrounding Brexit it just isn't possible at the moment! I'm sure this will be addressed in the future. I Hope you're happy with your new jacket Naim and thanks for watching 🙏😊
@@Run4Adventure I took contact with them and updated the status, they should be able to start shipping again before the end of this year :). Thank you Loyd! I will still order the Exmoor for my ultra end january 2022 :)
@@naimharb5305
That's good to hear Naim 👍
They do not ship to Europe....how about that...
Unfortunately with all the issues surrounding Brexit Harrier had to stop shipping to Europe. Hopefully it will be sorted out soon and they can then ship again 👍
Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel it's appreciated 🙏
Pre-ordered :)
Nice one Dave 😊
Hope you enjoy your new jacket once it arrives 👍

I'm buying this.
It's a great value jacket Jordan 👍
