I remember Jae Kim use to play decks where his spell and traps were mainly one ofs a lot and I would try them and something about it I drew well. It was fun having an out for every situation and your opponent never knowing what back row to dodge

You could make a 60 card deck out of just 1 ofs. The Yu-Gi-Oh ban list even for this era was huge

@@LegacyRetroFormats Phantom Darkness gave us Dark Armed Return and The Duelist Genesis created Tele-Dad which was exceedingly strong and expensive. Though DAD was semi limited during the latter.
