The best i heard ever in this stream vod is the Stage 5 theme... 45:27 - 49:38 I swear it's sound divine and unbelievably so much powerful that i can't withstand to mark that song bestest arrangement ever existed for me.... Especially the part 47:17 - 47:40 and part with higher pitch... Looks like fall in love to this specific arrange... If the remastered Mystic Square sounded like only in Imperishable Night instruments - that's should be legendary 😍
I love the arrangements, you guys did a great job. Unfortunately, I couldn't comment much in the live chat, so I would like to comment a little bit about each arrangement (the stage and boss themes) here in this comment, and express a little of what I felt listening to and my appreciation for this work. So here's a long comment 16:13 Stage 1 - Sounds good, the instruments sound and behave like MoF, especially this bass. 18:44 Stage 1 Boss - Wow, inspired by Orin, this made the theme sound much stronger and more dynamic. The biggest transitions in the song sounded great. 20:59 Stage 2 - That's CD style! It sounds divine, the theme was very dynamic. 24:25 Stage 2 Boss - Wow, how strong that theme was in this arrangement. Reed Romance is lovely. Hearing this definitely makes me like the theme more. 26:12 Stage 3 - This theme is so beautiful, and this arrangement does justice to this stellar and nostalgic feeling. It's very fresh and atmospheric. That got a lot more emotional, it got even more special in this arrangement. 30:07 Stage 3 Boss - How intense and menacing that sounds, I really enjoyed it. This guitar makes the listener put me on high alert all the time. Incredible! 33:06 Stage 4 - This mix was interesting, an arrangement of this exotic theme based on some other exotic themes from WBaWC, really creative. 36:53 Stage 4 Boss (Yuki & Mai) - Awesome. PCB style, so well executed, with that crazy bass and audible beats (and some beat spams). And the theme was extended, very cool! 39:54 Stage 4 Boss (Yuki) - Nice to hear, but I didn't really like how it lost its identity in some parts (as I once said, it wasn't something I expected from a Remaster, but it's still fun to listen to and a it's great job). 42:45 Stage 4 Boss (May) - Wow, Judas Kiss. The feeling of speed was so heightened. I feel the perverse and dark feel of the theme. It's just a shame for me that the arrangement version of ZUN was not used here. (it continue as a reply to this comment)
45:27 Stage 5 - Yes, IN style. To be more exact, Voyage 1969 style. It always sound so good, and it is not different in this case. Here it is also mixed with the style of stage 4, which makes the arrangement even cooler. 49:39 Stage 5 Boss - This theme is bizarre and I loved listening to it with these refined instruments and of course those delicious DDC beats. The final part was surprising, and it was what I missed the most about the original theme, an epic final part. 53:36 Stage 6 - I had no idea how cool this would be in UM final stage style, it's great and epic. 56:18 Stage 6 Boss - That..was..EPIC... Wow, what was this?? This beginning was surprising, it became extremely epic and creative. The rest is also very epic and intense. The characteristics of Yuuma's theme were very well applied in pertinent places, and so Shinki's theme still manages to convey the feelings of the original (much more intense and epic in this arrangement) in most of the arrangement. I loved how some instruments also played fun in some parts. 1:08:30 Stage EX - Great, I love PCB arrangements. I can clearly see the inspirations in themes 4 and 5, which are wonderful. I wish the bass sound was a little more prominent (I think it actually behaves like a crazy PCB bass), and I really miss beat spams, one of the main characteristics of PCBs. 1:12:54 Stage EX Boss - Yes! I really wanted to hear something intense in this arrange, because is what this theme conveys. I'm not a big fan of the original, this arrangement brings more dynamics, which makes me appreciate it better. I hope the themes are made available in separate videos, I would really appreciate that. Thanks to the arrangers and everyone else involved in this project. It was a pleasure to hear these arrangements!
this was absolutely heavenly, hearing PC-98 era Touhou music in the modern tone is really something else, the experience is surreal and the visual is adding a lot to the experience you guys did an absolutely terrific job
Alright a review on the "remastering" of Mystic Square's OST. This is my first time doing this, and oh well: I have mixed feelings for this. (I actually loved the LLS remastered OST, I listen to it while in the car.) (I'll do Wondrous Romance later) Dream Express It doesn't feel as thrilling or exciting as the original, feels a lot less slower and less loud. C'mon where's are the jingling noises at 17:05? Also 18:20 threw me off guard, I understand experimenting with new things but that part just throws the song off course with its original feeling, it being slower doesn't help either. Magic Formation ~ Magic Square Personally I view the original version as serious sounding, I don't feel like this version seems serious to me. It makes Sara seem more friendly and mystical, if you know what I mean. (Alright I'll admit, I don't like this song in general but I do understand the tone of the original) Other than that, I don't really have much to say on what can be improved for this one. I'd say it's pretty good but the tone is off from the original. Dimension of Reverie You've just beaten up (and bullied, if you're Mima or Yuuka) the gatekeeper and you're about to enter a mysterious new world, that's how I feel about the original song. Alright this one starts off really good! Only (major) problem I have with it is that 21:53 should've been played by a more high pitched instrument, like a flute. (Oh gosh, just one note at 22:39 makes it sound so wrong)

Watched it live for most of it, this thing is awesome! Just wished I stayed tuned for Shiniki (Luna Rainbow Stage and Yuuma Boss is an goated combo). The visuals were some of the biggest cherries on the top I have ever seen, they're flawless! Somebody oughta make a fangame with these assets someday!

I feel the same way about the Yuki theme. It's a great arrangement but there comes a point where it just becomes Ore from the Age of the Gods instead
