Whoops, I forgot Medicham, which would be quite good! It needs Jolly to outrun Aero, but would still hit hard (and I'm sure you could get away with running Adamant if you built your team well). It doesn't have the same spammability of STAB that Hera's Megahorn does, but its power is obviously nuts. Brick Break/Shadow Ball/Rock Slide/Focus Punch or HP Bug (Cele OHKO is big, also ensures you target Cele/Dol/Mie without allowing Tar to switch in on the resist). Would be great on offense and maybe even some more balanced teams, with or without Spikes
i was thinking this the whole video - glad you had the thought after the fact. medicham outspeeding zapdos and the like is so strong, and would love to come in and spam brick break after ttar pursuit traps the ghost type

@@davidshatto7604 yeah i agree. hard to see it being consistent but there are also plenty of scarfers that don’t really have a fourth move they particularly want and situations where you’re going to get knocked out aren’t too uncommon

Ryan gosling would have a speedstat of 130 since I saw a Jolteon artwork, which drove a car and it reminded me of our favorite actor from the cult classic "Drive"
From all the additions I've been play testing in ADV, this was by far the most controversial (way above Boots/SRs, for that matter). Changing speedtiers was a bit too gamebreaking in the long run, especially in a metagame as shaped around speed as this one.
What if Light Clay was in ADV OU? Brick Break is way more popular than any other generation, but the power level is so low that it might be possible for ddtar etc. to get multiple boosts off under screens and sweep
I think there is a great chance that this was even intended but Game Freak messed up somehow with Ghost barely being a testable attacking type and already suffering other major bugs in Gen 1. Every Ghost Pokemon until Gen 3 and IIRC every Dark type other than Houndoom has a stat spread that would benefit from those types being swapped, and Shadow Ball even drops SpD as an added effect even though it's a physical move. However, I think it would actually be less interesting this way. Gengar and Misdreavus would be able to use STAB moves instead of being forced to trade that off against relying on great defensive typing/abilities and coverage/utility movepools. Tyranitar could more mindlessly optimize Attack instead of having to pick between physical, special and mixed variants, etc. It's just really unfortunately that this interesting asymmetry was seemingly an accident that very few mons are balanced around (e.g. Sneasel doesn't have enough to make up for it having two unusuable STABs) and got basically destroyed in Gen 4 instead of something that was planned and exploited to create potentially what could be a more meaningfully diverse metagame than what the post physical/special split world became.
What if Air Balloon was in ADV OU? With how prevalent Spikes and Arena Trap are, I think Air Balloon would be good item choice. Although the spike immunity isn't too great considering the item is gone after one hit. Sacrificing Leftovers could be an issue with sand chip. But some Pokémon might benefit from Air Balloon more. Pokémon like Magneton, Blaziken, and Camerupt come to mind.
Depends on how many layers of spikes were in the field for it to be worth it. One layer of spikes is negated by one turn of lefties, but 3 layers would be 4 turns of lefties, so it depends on how many turns the Pokemon is out as to whether or not it's worth it
I'd like to see resist berries, I'd reckon they'd be very popular on sand immune pokemon; chople, wacan, shuca and occa berries would serve as great boons for trap weak mons. Wacan would be like a pseudo shed shell for skarm for teams that really need it for example.
I got a couple questions, one pertaining to this video and another to maybe a future vid you might make. The first question is did you consider the effects of Celebi SD Passing to scarfers for this video? Do you think that if they existed RSE OU that they’d exasperate set up sweepers like DD Salamence and Tar, or would they not be that big of a deal?
It would make some pokemon 50% faster but unable to switch moves. It honestly feels like a bad tradeoff in all the early generations, when bulky offense with coverage is king.
