AGREE COMPLETELY. GB is this impossible fusion of the Beatles, Radiohead and Fleet Foxes, wrapped in their own beautiful vibe. The Radiohead in this one is strong.

i m reading comments and it s fantastic that all grizzly bear's fans have different opinions: who prefer the drummer , who rossen's technique, who the incredible bass player and multinstrumentist, who droste's voice, who rossen's voice...this is the evidence that ,right now, they are the best live band in the planet. me personally i believe that rossen is one the most creative guitar player of the last 2 decades but they are allll so good mamma mia. great musicians, no jokes,no flamboyant attitude,just skills and soul. thanks

True story - there is no weak link in the band. But together they weave a sound tapestry that is larger than any one element.
I would say that Droste could/should do more live. Take the whole middle section in this song, for instance. When I compare the studio version to this version there are a couple of subtle but effective extra layers of coloration missing. He's done it before, why not do it now? I feel like he's done less and less as far as live performance contributions go. Thoughts?
Grizzly Bear are fantastic in their own right. Best band live? Think that title has to go to Muse to be honest
They are all great, but the songs seem to be guitar centered. Rossen is one of the best "out of the box" guitarrists out there for sure and a true influence to me. Fantastic.
I love it how they are so into their part. Bear is enjoying his drumming and feeling it, Ed is feeling his vocals, Daniel is lost in his guitar playing and Taylor is lost in his playing as well. Dude, this band is f*ing awesome!! I saw them a week ago and I cannot get enough. So dope! I guess it takes some musical intelligence to see that these guys are the best. Wish they had more fans. I am completely in love. 😭😍

I love how real their songs are. In that the songs they write are actually ones they can perform... I wouldn't imagine... and maybe that's just cause of my limited view of music... either way, I love them, they're absolutely rich.
Ed Droste brings the melodies that really complete many of GB's songs.
