@@bekaa- first think about what you do with your pc, if you have backround stuff running while gaming it might be a good upgrade, if you only play then its enough.
it depends on processor, i have had Ryzen 5 1600 and 1x8gb 3200 ram. So when ive put another 8gb of same ram my fps increased from 70-170 to 150-270. Ryzen, especially 1600 is really sensitive to ram.
@@bekaa- you actually can't buy 12 gb of ram, also we haven't seen the other components of the benchmarking pc in this video, wich makes the benchmark useless, beceause he could have used an gt 710 or a rtx 3090, or a amd athlon fx or a core i9 11900k. ram doesnt make a difference in framerates or higher reslutions, and if it does the difference is minimal. 8 gb is enough for most esports and casual games in 2021, only for stuff like assasins creed or some AAA shit i'd probably get 16 gb. 32 is way too much for gaming and is just useless. 32 is coming handy when you are a professional videoeditor, because you will use a lot of programs and rendering software at the same time.
people really need a tech lesson, ram, cpu and gpu dont boost the fps, to boost them u just need a good gaming chair and some nice RGB lights (on mouse, pc and or everything with lights btw) and also a good wallpaper, remember guys, dont trust what youtubers say.
it really depends on how much ram the game uses you dont need 64gb ram if u only have the game that only uses what, like 12gb ram and a few apps like discord open however if u wanna play with RTX and max graphics on u may want it as it is extra ram for the pc to use i'd recommend 16gb ram that is just enough but if ur going for a high end pc get 32gb ram, if ur a content creator u may want 64gb ram since u will have a lot of things to do and a lot of apps open
If you gamers are looking for a RAM medium with no lag for games like Fortnite go for 12GB RAM or 8GB RAM since they run smoothly if your background apps are closed.

I believe he just cut the fps randomly and made the recordings choppier in a editing program, On 1gb, 2gb and 4gb fortnite wouldve instantly crashed because of it running out of ram to use.

more ram doesnt matter, only check if you have dual channel/single channel and dual rank/single rank ram, depending on what you have, adding ram could improve your performance a bit in specific cases.
Me and my friend made a gaming pc with 4gb of ddr3 ram, a 1050ti, an i3 with 3.2ghz clock speed, all for only less than 400 I think. But it was able to run fortnite at like 60fps low settings so the results in the video are very misleading. No you don't need 32gb for a smooth experience lmao

@@marvalcaraballopedroalejan9546yup, pretty sure the wii has like 128mb ram, surprisingly it can run emulators (N64, SNES, NES, PS1) quite well via homebrew.
Ram is the one of the least important hardware pieces when it comes to gaming FPS. It all depends more so on your GPU, VRAM, and CPU. 8gb of ram is perfect for any game and 16GB is good if you game and multitask a lot. Upgrading from 8 to 16 is beneficial for multitasking purposes mainly, won’t show much of a gaming improvement.
@@CCP-Lies Ah yes that is true, all of those can easily bottleneck a good graphics card.Though i was talking more so on how gpus are the most important when it comes to boosting fps. From my research though, it seems most games are easily capable of running smooth with only 8gb of ram so long as you dont exceed resolution over 1080p or your in-game settings.
@@jerome5526 RAM doesn't determine your FPS, but holy hell it determines how smooth those frames are. Going from 8 to 16 to 32 is a big jump in how less everything stutters, loads quicker, and fewer frame drops, and an overall good experience that you can't see in a YT video.
Having a lot of ram doesn't impact performance that much, ram only needs what it needs unlike the CPU and the GPU who need the most out for performance. If a game needs at least 6 or 8gigs of ram then thats all it needs, nothing more nothing less. So if you have 16gigs of ram and the game you run needs 8 then only 8gigs of ram is gonna take out of your total ram. Any left over ram while you game are going to background apps or run other things in your pc.
You can’t run 8gb of ram in 2022 anymore. Maybe some people can from dual channel but I can never get consistent fps so I might as well just upgrade it to 16gb and run it dual channel. Some Games are just too demanding like warzone for example
I use 16GB of ram and in my experience in specs for gaming, after 16GB you're really only spending money to have one million games running at the same time. There's really no performance gain after the 16GB point.
1Gb:garbage lag 2Gb: average lag 3Gb: Meh lag 4Gb: Almost no lag 8Gb: Almost Almost no lag 12Gb: Almost almost almost no lag (slow down vid to see lag) 16Gb: no lag but sometimes lag when falling 32Gb: no lag but sometimes lag a tiny bit when falling 64Gb: no lag
Ever since the video reached 12gb of ram, everything seemed to work the same, no lagging no freezing, I didn't even notice a difference. So I guess I'm grateful that I ordered this 12gb laptop.
Realistically, I think they are using potato hardware. 8GB should be plenty for playing Fortnite. 12-16 is nice and may help, but it is unnecessary for Fortnite and is more important for many operations at once, or a more physics-based game like Garry's Mod or BeamNG Drive. Take it from someone who has gone from 4, to 8, to 16, and 32. 8 is enough for single and less physics-based games, and a lot of times, 4 will do just fine.
@@MooseAgainstMankind did you play fortnite ? I have 8gb ram, even without anything running in the background it uses more than 8gb of ram, i know this because i see 2000 mb being used of my ssd (pagefile), the minimum i set it to was 16mb, and i get some stutters when a lot of action happens

You guys doesn't need to upgrade your 4gb - 8gb ram to 16 GB (You can if you want xd), but you only need good Processor And Good GPU, RAM Will not gives you a High Performance, Cause I've tried to Upgrade it and i only get like 46-53 FPS (Only Increase 12 FPS), So I recommend you guys just to buy processor or gpu for this game.
I think upgrading ram worth it..
ram is important because you can actually have stuff on background running while you are playing
How did you even download Fortnite with 1GB of RAM!?
people really need a tech lesson, ram, cpu and gpu dont boost the fps, to boost them u just need a good gaming chair and some nice RGB lights (on mouse, pc and or everything with lights btw) and also a good wallpaper, remember guys, dont trust what youtubers say.
it really depends on how much ram the game uses you dont need 64gb ram if u only have the game that only uses what, like 12gb ram and a few apps like discord open however if u wanna play with RTX and max graphics on u may want it as it is extra ram for the pc to use i'd recommend 16gb ram that is just enough but if ur going for a high end pc get 32gb ram, if ur a content creator u may want 64gb ram since u will have a lot of things to do and a lot of apps open
16 is enough
@@wheelchair7081 For some people but 32 gb of ram is the new standard now.

If you gamers are looking for a RAM medium with no lag for games like Fortnite go for 12GB RAM or 8GB RAM since they run smoothly if your background apps are closed.

I have 8GB ram and my game doesn’t lag at all it doesn’t delay or anything, everything is smooth
@@jerome5526 warzone isn't really smooth on 8gb
Gpu, cpu, graphics card also matters
Have you heard of warzone ?
@@BL_Daniel warzone uses 107GB of RAM from my computer
