Have to give major credit to the poor woman in this situation. She handled it perfectly. Didn't get her family involved, waited to get her kids out of the situation so they didn't see anything traumatic, then went to the police. Good mother right there. Hopefully she can find better people to be around.
I wouldn't jump to the conclusion of "good mother". She should have never gotten herself involved with someone that is clearly mentally unstable when she has kids in her care. Adequate mother, maybe.

@@thoughtfullyshortyour argument is so stupid. If someone has a knife regardless of what's going on in their head they are a threat and can hurt someone. The tasers didn't work so the officers had no choice other than to kill him.
Uhmmm no ma’am. He was inside that apartment overnight! SHE let him in. SHE didn’t call the law only until SHE felt like it. That’s not how am RO works. She should’ve been thrown in jail for breaking it.
That guy was hearing voices something fierce. He kept referring to other people that wanted them to leave. You can clearly see he was having a mental break with listening to the officers and then whatever was playing in his head. Not excusing his behavior since he refused to take his meds but time and time again you hear these people hate the way the meds make you feel. He definitely needed to be hospitalized. But nowadays it drives me nuts hearing they just release them to the general public. My uncle had severe issues and my family fought like hell to keep him on the inside not just for their safety but the public. But with over crowded places and the lack of care. This issue isn't going anywhere but scenes like this. A very powerful reason why they need to relook at how we handle the mental health issues with this or similar situations.

If she didn’t want him to get hurt then she would’ve left his ass sooner instead of waiting til he went crazy to call the police. This could’ve been avoided.
This one was actually hard to watch. People don't choose their mental illness, and schizophrenia is one of the most disruptive. I agree. It takes a lot of inner strength to deal with someone unstable and try to reason with them. Especially someone delusional like this man was. They're paranoid, dealing with stressors only he can perceive. He was coherent enough to know to stall them so he could get a weapon, and that gave the police a little hope but he obviously decided this was going to end in jail and he wasn't going back. There was no alternative ending here. I'm just so glad that woman and her kids are safe, she did a phenomenal job. I can't imagine what she's gone through to protect her kids. @@Alicia-rv8sk yeah, it great that the mother and children won't have to deal with that. But I thought the officers just wanted him out the house, not jail.
how calm and collected and organized this woman was with her information, explaining the situation, handing the papers over to law enforcement instantly, and explaining the history of mental illness truly made this situation so much better. if she had tried to handle it on her own, who knows what could have happened. what a wonderful mother to have.
And she was smart enough not to start anything with her ex during the night because her kids were there, and waited until morning, dropping her kids off, securing their safety, then she went to the police She smart, intelligent and a good mom Kudos to her
At first, I wondered if the officers were going to even take her seriously. If it weren't for her level of organization, they may not have. Plus, she didn't cover for him and explained why she couldn't let them know he was there until that time. I hope they teach that kind of stuff in the domestic violence groups. Smart girl. She will be a good lawyer.
@@jettsomaI’ve been in her shoes myself and the police didn’t take me seriously. What is frightening is the fact that this man was suffering from and there is no telling where his mind was going to take him next.
