Hi Ali Karim, Thank you so much for this video. I have been asked to import files to SAGE at work, never done it before - and then I found your video. I tried it out on my own copy of SAGE, and first time of asking, it was happily applying everything. Then, today, they have been working out how to import bank statements to SAGE using Excel - I ran the last part of the video, tried it on my own copy. Needless to say, it was quite happy. I am going to go into work and give them this angle on it. And it is all thanks to you. Thank you for putting this video on and giving confidence.

Thanks ALIKARAM, not only did I learn to use SA and PA, but also a way of remembering which is the posting of original entry - e.g. putting a credit sale in the Customer's T-table, and only filling in the Sales T-table at the end of a period, so I can now fix in my mind which is the AccountRef and which the Nominal AccountRef (which you explained).

It was a while back so can't remember properly but I am certain there's no limit on the number of customers.
what if your invoice has move than one item with different tax rates. For example: an invoice for a shipping company, there would be customs fees, vat and shipment cost. How do I import this type of transaction to sage 50 from excel?

when i am importing purchase excel to sage , it showing error in line no 392
but my my sheet contains up to 391
could u explain why this error coming
Try this. Copy all data. Paste in a new sheet. Delete the older sheet. Save file import again
Click cancel...The previous 391 lines were already imported. You can double check that they were actually imported
Just delete this row 392, sometimes Sage thinks that something was there in 392 hence the reason is not letting you import but is enough to just delete the entire even though you have no data shown there. If you have an error in one of your rows Sage will not import any rows so you need to go back and amend what Sage doesn't like and then do the import steps again. Hope this helps

You can create your own template in excel in order to import it into Sage. If your Sage version has the import option then is enough to see the mandatory fields required and just have same headings in your excel template. You can see this under 'Field Mappings' in Data import. Follow same steps as per the video as to how to import into Sage and when it comes to choosing the file you want to import just choose any as it doesn't matter because you just want to go to next step to see the 'Field Mappings'. You'll then see 'Sage field' and these are the names you'll want to have as headings in your excel template. Names with asterisks (*) are mandatory and all the rest are optional. If in doubt what goes under each column then watch the video again. Hope it helps

Decent attempt, but you were "all over the place" in your delivery. The purpose of your demo was to impot the transactions into SAGE !! You finished by saying that the transactions were now in EXCEL !! But the source was EXCEL ! So you just confused the viewer by this remark. You didn't even show the transactions in the SAGE audit file after the demo !! Poor show !! If you serious about helping people, then please do it right !!
