I think the spinning hammer suits her, though. It's similar to her SA1 hammer spin. I think Amy dizziness from her spinning hammer is also the same from SA1, too, I believe. It's almost like the person that fix Amy in P-06 took aspect of SA1 and possibly Sonic Heroes Amy gameplay from both games.
It's a reference to Sonic Adventure. In SA1 if you hold her spin for too long she gets dizzy for a few seconds and stumbles when she walks. Which is a huge punishment for a characters whose entire game plan is based around running away from something chasing her down. So it's great to see it come back.

Honestly i think it was for 2 reasons: 1) she really didn't have much to do in the story as shown by how few times she's actually playable, and 2) i genuinely think that the whole invisibility thing was meant to be a band-aid fix for how utterly flawed her gameplay was. She was too slow to run from enemies, and too weak to fight them, and with the whole time crunch SEGA probably figured it was faster to just give her the ability to avoid enemies than rework her gameplay to be able to fight or outmaneuver them. Nothing to base that theory off of, just what i always thought
Really shows how much they improved. Not only fixed the major bugs and issues but also gave the extra playable characters some love and attention. Never realised how slow old Amy was
@@StickmanGuides Sonic 06 did have a DLC called "Team Amigo" where all side playable characters from Tails, Blaze, and the rest get their chance to tackle stages that mostly only for Sonic, Shadow, and Silver. They certainly can to have Amy a stage based on that DLC.

Don't forget. Amy has hidden mystical/magical/supernatural abilities and stuff like making others summon hammers or heal herself by thinking about sonic. Invisibility is one of them. This kind of invisibility should be different from espio.

Hence why I don't think that silver should not be fast or be at the ground alot as seen in 06 opening and generations boss fights. Though I still think that amy should have more magic stuff with her. She can draw out some sort of light construct of cards in her idle animation in p-06. So that's pretty neat!

Oh what I wouldn’t give to be able to play Amy with her own story in a modern FULLY 3D game like this. And I love that they made her faster, Amy isn’t a slow character, she should definitely be one of the faster characters.
You can tell the creators in the 06 game barely cared to give Amy any attention. She was almost nonexistent, slower paced, hammer attack has no momentum that can barely hit anything that makes her easily vulnerable to enemy attacks, double jump not that responsive, and had the power of invisibility that they probably thought would hide their lazy attention for her only to not be seen again in the future. This remake is so good.
As someone intimately familiar with the original, this is absolutely beautiful for my eyes. Thank you, ChaosX, whoever is out there developing this, I respect you with all my soul.
When it comes to Amy's invisibility I saw it as a tie into her background of doing tarot card reading, aka the mystics, however the game doesn't convey that. I think making her take out a tarot card to go invisible would've justified that. Regardless her gameplay was non existent, she was just adventure Amy with no range or hammer attacks. I really love how this mod took Amy's adventure 1 gameplay and reformed it, like how it should have been all along. Amy having the spin hammer barrel through enemies should be here version of the boost the only thing she's missing is the hammer hovering move from heroes and generations. Otherwise it is the best 3d playable Amy. Actually now that I think of it she also feels like Advance Amy, who was just better adventure Amy and has all the benefits minus spring jumping.
No- 06 Amy was just a girl who was slower than her SA1 counterpart, had a range worse than Knuckles with the punches, can turn invisible for no reason, and has one of the worst double jumps in all existence since it kills all momentum. This new version of Amy, by contrast, is actually what happens if you take SA1 Amy and expand upon it with speed worth something and a proper double jump.
There is one reason why she can turn invisible. Amy is just unnoticeably magical. She can sense anyone from afar, predict faith & fortune with her tarot cards, summon her magical/love/pico pico hammer, make others summon their hammers, heal her wounds by thinking about of sonic, owned a sentient car. There's reason to believe that invisibility is one of Amy's magical skill.

The difference is literally night and day, she got the justice she deserves, she can hammer while running, it doesn’t kill momentum same with the double jump, she can make herself dizzy with her hammer spin like Toon Link’s Hurricane Spin it’s a cute touch, I love her jumpball it reminds me of the SA1 Sonic, Tails, Knuckles Jumpballs!

It’s like they took the Amy New Tricks mod from SA1 and just applied it here it’s amazing, don’t even need the spin hover move, the double jump and bounce off hitting enemies does it all for me tbh, same for the running Amy jump, it’s even better in P-06 than in SA1, tho maybe better isn’t the right word. It’s been adapted to function differently here, and it’s just as fun to use even if it’s used differently. Amy is awesome.

I like how hedgehogs have random abilities for no reason. Silver have telekinesis. Sonic is fast. Amy turns invisible. For Sonic I just assumed he was special, as Sonic Advenure 2 teased that at the final parts, cuz Amy is a hedgehog and shes normal. Then 06 came and threw it out of the window.
He _is_ special, though. Silver's from the FUTURE, who _knows_ how he's able to do most of the stuff he does. Sonic's thing isn't just that he's fast, he also has an unparalleled connection with chaos energy. Super forms? Everyone who can do those learned that from _him._ Hell, the first time Shadow did it, he (almost) died because he couldn't hold it! On the topic of Shadow, Sonic was able to figure out Chaos Control with a fake emerald! His existence was outright prophecized by ancient Angel Island architecture, likely created by the Ancients.

Man, the weight, flow and flare of this fix. Racking up speed while tearing through the level with a string of uninterrupted jumps and attacks. It still looks floaty when she jumps, but it feels like she has momentum backing her up, rather than wearing moon shoes and land in tar. In one word; *Satisfying.*
now this makes me wish that she had a bigger role in 06 and playable in more stages than just Dusty Desert and End of the World. one person even altered the 06 story and called it Sonic Adventure 3, giving it a lot of changes and using Generations style levels and bosses , such as making Elise's death the ONLY way to release Iblis (no crying to break the seal BS), and in Silver Story; Amy actually fights Silver, then after Silver learns Mephiles deceived him, he finds Amy and apologizes to her, this leads to Amy joining Silver and Blaze and helping them with the three trials to reach Kingdom Valley. then when Elise dies in the egg carrier crash, it actually frees Iblis in the present day, terraforming Soleanna into Flame Core, so then, in the same style as Sonic's Aquatic Base, Silver's' Flame Core has you play as Silver, Blaze and Amy, then all three members of Team Silver fight Iblis Phase 3.
I’m glad they got rid of the invisibility, it just didn’t make sense, plus it was hard not get hurt because you had to get so close to the enemy just to attack.
It does actually. Amy has hidden supernatural abilities like healing herself by thinking about sonic in sonic battle or making anyone summon hammers in sonic advance 3. She has cartomancy, dowsing all of which is old school anime magic that Amy possesses. Invisibility is one of them.

And I don't think the characters in advance 3 are summoning hammers, they just have them when they're paired with Amy I don't mind the mystic side of Amy and the invisibility is cool, don't get me wrong, but it is a rather large step up from (possibly real, possibly coincidental) fortune telling

Her air speed seems a little too fast imo, especially since she maintains most of her momentum with the double jump. As it stands, she needs either to have that toned down ever so slightly or have her sections be extended to actually make up for how fast she can blaze through them now
Sort of makes you wonder how the base game flumped so hard when a bunch of fans can make something not just stable and competent but fun and interesting.

This looks so smooth and fluid! I'd actually love to see a full game with Amy as the main character with this style of gameplay. P.S was her ability to become invisible glitched in vanilla? In the gameplay it seems like the player is trying to activate the ability after the tutorial tells them how but ends up attacking over and over. I don't think I ever got far enough in Silver's campaign to play as Amy when I was a kid, so I wouldn't know.

Dude I can barely get enough air when double jumping to bridge a bottomless pit. Even trying to jump over a basic set of spikes was almost impossible. She literally comes to a screeching halt whenever you try to smack anything with her hammer. I promise you, she really was the worst character in 06 sadly. You can watch some more of my gameplay on the channel and you’ll know that I’m actually pretty skilled at Sonic games. I didn’t intentionally make Amy look bad in 06, she just was :(
I don't mind having both. Amy should have her moveset from adventure 1, but I also want her to have a mystical side that people like you seem to overlook.
P-06 is gonna change the way I see 06, it's gonna make me think that it's actually a good game bevause of how great it improved everything from the original

Clearly these stages where never fundamentally flawed, and the idea to combine level elements from the adventure games is a good one, but everything was just done horribly, including Amy here. Maybe if her movement had better physics and all that it would’ve been better, but either way I think what Chaos X has done just tops this turning invisible nonsense.
I think the double jump should be replaced by a hammer vault off walls. Would make her more distinct compared to Blaze, and as long as there's another wall, you could chain hammer wall vaults to do some really cool stuff.

I could play an entire Platformer based around this Amy. She looks fun to play!
Basically took '06 Amy, and swapped her out for SA1 Amy. Not that I'm complaining, I always liked SA1 Amy, I'm just a little surprised. I thought people hated Amy in SA1.
I guess anything's better than '06 Amy.

For Sonic I just assumed he was special, as Sonic Advenure 2 teased that at the final parts, cuz Amy is a hedgehog and shes normal.
Then 06 came and threw it out of the window.
I mean, to be fair, a lot of sonic characters seems to have a lot of abilities with not much reason explained
He _is_ special, though. Silver's from the FUTURE, who _knows_ how he's able to do most of the stuff he does.
Sonic's thing isn't just that he's fast, he also has an unparalleled connection with chaos energy.
Super forms? Everyone who can do those learned that from _him._ Hell, the first time Shadow did it, he (almost) died because he couldn't hold it! On the topic of Shadow, Sonic was able to figure out Chaos Control with a fake emerald! His existence was outright prophecized by ancient Angel Island architecture, likely created by the Ancients.

Man, the weight, flow and flare of this fix. Racking up speed while tearing through the level with a string of uninterrupted jumps and attacks. It still looks floaty when she jumps, but it feels like she has momentum backing her up, rather than wearing moon shoes and land in tar.
In one word; *Satisfying.*
Honestly Sega just needs to hire this team to make this an official remake

now this makes me wish that she had a bigger role in 06 and playable in more stages than just Dusty Desert and End of the World.
one person even altered the 06 story and called it Sonic Adventure 3, giving it a lot of changes and using Generations style levels and bosses , such as making Elise's death the ONLY way to release Iblis (no crying to break the seal BS), and in Silver Story; Amy actually fights Silver, then after Silver learns Mephiles deceived him, he finds Amy and apologizes to her, this leads to Amy joining Silver and Blaze and helping them with the three trials to reach Kingdom Valley. then when Elise dies in the egg carrier crash, it actually frees Iblis in the present day, terraforming Soleanna into Flame Core, so then, in the same style as Sonic's Aquatic Base, Silver's' Flame Core has you play as Silver, Blaze and Amy, then all three members of Team Silver fight Iblis Phase 3.

I’m glad they got rid of the invisibility, it just didn’t make sense, plus it was hard not get hurt because you had to get so close to the enemy just to attack.
It does actually. Amy has hidden supernatural abilities like healing herself by thinking about sonic in sonic battle or making anyone summon hammers in sonic advance 3. She has cartomancy, dowsing all of which is old school anime magic that Amy possesses. Invisibility is one of them.
@@crimsonzone8984 Everyone in battle has odd healing capabilities that were never used again, it's a cool thing but Idk if it's really canon, then we'd have to explain how the block function works in that game as well. And I don't think the characters in advance 3 are summoning hammers, they just have them when they're paired with Amy
I don't mind the mystic side of Amy and the invisibility is cool, don't get me wrong, but it is a rather large step up from (possibly real, possibly coincidental) fortune telling
The only missing thing is that Amy could be invisible l hope they added that in a updated and more polished
Someone should do a time trial comparisons of this level with both 06 and P-06.

Her air speed seems a little too fast imo, especially since she maintains most of her momentum with the double jump. As it stands, she needs either to have that toned down ever so slightly or have her sections be extended to actually make up for how fast she can blaze through them now
Sort of makes you wonder how the base game flumped so hard when a bunch of fans can make something not just stable and competent but fun and interesting.
This is how Amy should've been in Sonic 06 the first place.

@@immahamsteryogamer no, but whereas SEGA had a contract with nintendo so they had to port it to the poor selling wii u which caused many bugs and glitches because the cry engine was supposed to run on pc, ps4 and xbox one, sonic synergy was gonna be a great game, sadly this happened

This is GREAT. Also people who are wondering, no the jumping animation in P-06 isn't like that, it's simply a cosmetic setting you can change.
I love that the P-06 version made Amy move a bit faster. Some people forget she may not be faster than Sonic, but is fast enough to keep up with him.
This looks so smooth and fluid! I'd actually love to see a full game with Amy as the main character with this style of gameplay. P.S was her ability to become invisible glitched in vanilla? In the gameplay it seems like the player is trying to activate the ability after the tutorial tells them how but ends up attacking over and over. I don't think I ever got far enough in Silver's campaign to play as Amy when I was a kid, so I wouldn't know.
I see they’ve made amy play more like she did in sonic adventure 1. It’s certainly an improvement to how stiff she was in 06.
2022 was the year of Sonic. With this and Origins Plus, maybe 2023 will be the year of Amy.

Originally, Amy’s invisibility technique was supposed to hide her from enemies. But after looking at this, I thought, “Espio’s supposed to turn invisible, not Amy.”
She plays infinitely better in P-06 as expected but WOW you do the OG 06 Amy a disservice with that gameplay. You like got hit on every obstacle/enemy you encountered seemingly on purpose, gave me IGN reviewer vibes🥴

Dude I can barely get enough air when double jumping to bridge a bottomless pit. Even trying to jump over a basic set of spikes was almost impossible. She literally comes to a screeching halt whenever you try to smack anything with her hammer. I promise you, she really was the worst character in 06 sadly. You can watch some more of my gameplay on the channel and you’ll know that I’m actually pretty skilled at Sonic games. I didn’t intentionally make Amy look bad in 06, she just was :(
They didn't just give Amy her Adventure 1 moveset, they improved upon it.

I don't mind having both. Amy should have her moveset from adventure 1, but I also want her to have a mystical side that people like you seem to overlook.
P-06 is gonna change the way I see 06, it's gonna make me think that it's actually a good game bevause of how great it improved everything from the original
What’s funny is that all the elements were there in the original; Multiple playable characters, adventure style moveset, just a lot of similarities to the OG adventure games, it’s just that everything was either shit or broken 😂

@@crimsonzone8984 No, just that if they made all the right decisions it could’ve all been good. Clearly these stages where never fundamentally flawed, and the idea to combine level elements from the adventure games is a good one, but everything was just done horribly, including Amy here. Maybe if her movement had better physics and all that it would’ve been better, but either way I think what Chaos X has done just tops this turning invisible nonsense.
I think the double jump should be replaced by a hammer vault off walls. Would make her more distinct compared to Blaze, and as long as there's another wall, you could chain hammer wall vaults to do some really cool stuff.
