I thought I could never hate anyone because of having to love one's enemies. Even my daughter was feeling guilty for being really angry and probably hateful to someone who defiled her when she was younger. She used to have thoughts of wanting to kill him. We've just been praying for enemies instead of hating them.
As I said in the sermon, based on David's example, we can hate people who hate God and are His enemies (Psa 139:19-22). We should not hate our enemies, but rather love them by keeping God's commandments toward them and praying for them.
