Just wanted to share that RISE was inspired by Maya Angelo's poem, 'Still I Rise.' Her words got me through a really hard time and helped me start this new journey of music, faith and love.
I first heard Mayonde on Kiss TV with Isikuti Love,the voice,the African beauty and grace,the lovely choreography above the PAWA 254 rooftop..and I fell in love with the groove..I'm lucky to see another of your video again on You-tube..I wish more airplay would be given to quality sounds like this that showcases Kenya's musical potential and the AfroSoul Neosoul connections.
