The original is great and I always get complements on them and people always ask me where they can buy them. Only issue was battery life, eats it when all the way up. At mid volume they last a long time and are bass cannons up against a wall.
I wish I would have known about this speaker a couple months ago when I got my JBL charge 5 and flip 6. Picky Audio just did a one for one comparison between this and the charge 5. Other than the JBL being slightly louder, the sound quality between the uboom L and charge 5 is practically the same. And for half the price of that speaker. I hope more people know that, while JBL has great sound, they can get speakers just as good for way cheaper which means better value.
I'm ordering this tomorrow, you do need to update the firmware yourself but you can findout how to do it, apparently this has zero lag when you use the aux , gonna be perfect for Netflix 🔥🔥 would love to have 2 but 1s enough for now
Thanks for the review. I own the first generation as a pair and love them. My question; do you know if they intercompatible making it a 4 speaker setup?? Thanks again…

that is not true. He has his ideals, and sets standards for bluethooth speakers, that you would normally only set for very highend or professional Audio Equipment. And he absolutely has stated bt. speakers that he finds are better than the uboom L, since his tuning cant change the fact that its a rather cheap Bluetooth speaker using rather cheap components.

With headphoes, especially inears, they have to imitate the sound reaching the uniquely shaped head/ears and traveling down a uniquely shaped ear canal aswell, to sound true to life. Well once you perform some sort of sorcery to get the firmware updated, it makes this speaker sound much better. I wasted half an hour trying to update it on my old laptop which wouldn't work. I finally tried it on a new desktop computer with the same cable and it worked straight away. Earfun really screwed up the release by changing drivers right before release thus rendering the original tuning obsolete. You really can't enjoy it until you update the firmware. If you did manage to update the firmware and are still having the issue, then maybe your specific unit is bad. Earfun really need to at least put out an app that makes firmware updating easier.
From what I know there were lot of duds in the first units, and the qc wasn't that good.Hencr the variations among the speakers. Also Hence they are many different versions of firmware for different speakers I guess, it's a bit confusing.
A very unpleasant sound with extremely sharp and harsh highs. No value at all , it sounds as a 70 dollar speaker should sound. Cannot compare with Flip 6 which is one of the best in its class.
@@ThibautMahringer flip 6 is very good compared to Earfun which has a unlistenable sound, very annoying sound picture. Bose Flex and Flip 6 are actually leaders in this class, speakers weighing around 550-600 grams. And those speakers are meant to be listened outside so mono is not a problem.
@@budfox3097 I guess it's okay but it's nothing amazing. These are not outdoor speakers however, they're too small and not powerful enough to be a great use outdoor.
@@budfox3097 Even for outside, Earfun is more powerful than both but the biggest difference is indoors because Earfun is basically a more refined version of Flex with new firmware... And you are saying that Earfun is unlistenable but it actually has less highs than both Jbl or Bose 🧐

**CORRECT** I know the packaging says IPX7 but EarFun's own website and Amazon both say IP67 which is what I say in the video.
Kudos for giving some love to Oluv
Update firmware the sound definitely better. Smoother treble, deep bass, and improved soundstage
