I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.
They're really soooo talented that even KBS invited them to perform again on Music Bank for the last time during their promo eventho their 2-week promotion have ended. People enjoyed their performance and stages so much cuz it's rare to see a whole stage idol singing live with choreo.

I appreciate that someone like Rocky was born with that vocal range and with those abilities. It's literally a gift. And the fact that they both sang 100% live on every stage of every music show too omG. I appreciate them so freaking much and I'm so happy and proud of every decision they both made this debut. They looked so happy promoting this since it was completely self-made. I'm sad the promotions lasted only 2 weeks tho, but I will repeat those fun performances throughout the entire year. Their energy, charisma and talent are otherworldly. Also I love how KBS asked them to perform Just Breathe one last time on Music Bank when the promotions were already over, that speaks volumes about the reputation they've earned for themselves. Anyway, Thank you so much for this reaction! And don't worry if you focused more on their vocals, it's just impossible to ignore that, your observations were just as interesting 💜 Can't wait for Moonbin & Sanha's album!

Isn't it amazing? 😊 Astro boys are really talented. You will be more amazed that Jinjin and Rocky performed super live in all of their music shows plus their showcase, show and radio guestings and fansign events. Maybe check one of their live stages? 😁 And if you want more Rocky's voice, please check out his live performance of CPR. Even Monsta X members got speechless when Rocky performed it live in Idol Radio. Musicals? Oh, I watched Sanha's Altar Boyz and MJ's Jack the Ripper musicals. I'm at awe and still can't move on on how good they are.

I am always just so amazed by the talent of everyone in Astro, dancing and vocals alike. (And as far as I know, they always sing live for their performances, at least from what I've seen.) I love that doing the subunits gives them each a better chance to showcase their talents, though in case of Rocky he really just blew everyone's minds with his singing :D Thank you for another Astro reaction! They deserve all the love and appreciation, for their talent, and their dedication to what they do. And clearly they are having fun too ^_^ I'm so happy for them, hope they always get to do what they love :)

Moonbin&Sanha "Gosht Town" is on my repeat song!! especially in the morning and at night bfore going to bed, as it gives some chill and calmness vibe. And for "Just Breathe" is my repeat song too, especially when going to work to feel the bright energy that fantastic duo “JinRock” gives us through that song! Xd

I’m so happy to see you react to Moonbin&Sanha’s Ghost Town! It’s definitely a whole vibe and the soft rap is just GUUUHHHHHH. Jinjin&Rocky’s dance practice is just the tip of the iceberg. They did all their performances live during their promotions and they adlib the toast parts every performance. The absolute raw talent those two have is insane. And they’re so funny on stage, you know they’re just enjoying themselves too much hahahhahahahhaha

Fun trivia for you: in Jinjin and Rocky's Ed dance class they mentioned that it's an Astro rule to stay on their toes while dancing and only use the whole feet when needed. Agreed,that with the sort of choreo Astro usually does,it is okay...but for such an energetic and high tension song it's still a lot,and to think that they performed it live in all their stages...really great.
This reminds me of earlier Astro songs that had a lot of bouncing/jumping to do...and I am still amazed how well they performed it.

They finished music show promotions and were doing fansigns but then Jinjin was unwell :(. But he's back now and they finished off the rest of the FS! They are also doing the choreo class!

It's not like I didn't adore you, Jeff, but when you mentioned that they're in the SM studio, I adored you more! It's so weird, right!? I'm worried that Fantagio are renting the office spaces, so they may not remodel, and I NEED the remodel, darnit! As for the very amazing live performance, I was _shocked_ to see and hear it, but oddly unsurprised. Rocky has become a completely different person in the last 18 months. His personality went from quiet and observational to loud and center stage. Of course we knew he was a phenomenal dancer (and truly, I DO think he's maybe got more range than any other kpop dancer), but the development of his confidence just made him a performance beast. I'm here for it. Moonbin and Sanha never fail to impress. I love that they're like, "oh, Rocky, you did vocals? Don't mind us if we slip some soft rap in our new track. Heh heh," and they did just that. I can't wait for their comeback. I think we're going to see some very interesting things from ASTRO when MJ goes into the military, just because we've seen such a change in the group as a whole. Thanks always for your reaction!

I'd like to share my interpretation of Ghost Town.
The change of the background is so intentional and purposeful. The way I see it, first a person is in darkness, then there's a lot of flashes, thunderbolts, which may indicate the chaos, destruction,and pain one is experiencing. But with each chorus the sky gets clearer and calmer, with very few transitions and flashes, meaning that the suffering is decreasing and a person is healing. Then finally we attain cosmos,which is usually associated with complete calmness, nothing on Earth seems significant. There's just us, the core of our being, which is full of serenity. Ghost Town doesn't mean that we die, it means that we go somewhere where there's heavenly silence, which doesn't mean loneliness at all, it's a healing state of mind. The pain dies and we get rid of everything that's dark. Amazing cynematography and such a chill song. Love it.

I love the singing live dance practice as well. Pls do react to Rocky's "CPR" song in the Restore album, he sang this live during their showcase, there's a video. It is awesome. Rocky showed more of his range here, like, crumple-your-face high notes, vocal breaks, growls and stable falsettos. I watch that video all the time bec the song is sooooo beautiful and Rocky's delivery is just mind-blowing. Thanks!
