Whoever is doing your graphics these days…bravo!! What a great job as your channel has matured these past few years to really up the game snd set a high standard - a perfect match for your content overall but needed to give that crew/creator a special shout out!
Mr Allison, Thank you for bringing us up to date and visiting the most talented tailors in the world. Being Italian and growing up in Italy in as a child, I remember watching those fantastic tailors in action. All of your videos are fantastic and they bring me back to my youth! All your bespoke tailors are top notch, but Mr John Kent and his partner Terry Haste(Kent and Haste) remind me so much of the tailors of that little village! Cheers!
Claire was kind enough to get me one of the last appointments for the last day Redmayne is in Boston. Very much looking forward to the experience and getting to meet Tom and Claire. Excellent video.
I mean cmon Kirby, I aspire to be a true gentleman as you are, you are, to use one of your favorite words, the quintessential classy man and you have taught me as well as many other young men who seem to have been directionless in regards to artisanal clothing. Thank you
Excellent presentation. Just makes me appreciate how lucky I am to live in England and to have so many of these craftsman so close to hand and with that the ability to just pop into the shop.
Thank you for doing this. I too was looking at schedules for some of these Saville Row bespoke tailors to visit New York City. Would love to visit with Kent & Haste but their first 2023 visit is a little too early for me. Hopefully I'll get a chance this year!
I could be wrong but I'm almost certain El Casco sells a desk clock that contains a dedicated space for a pen. Would be perfect for this desk. Edit: looked it up desk clock not desk light.
Romeo y Julieta no.3, I was in the South of France and asked the shopkeeper the same question, he was trying to sell me the expensive ones obviously. a younger guy interrupts and says this is the best first cigar, I've smoked many more since and it was the perfect intoductory, and only about $12 or so.
A MASTER TAILOR IS INDISPENSABLE The doctor said, "Frank, the good news is I can cure your headaches. The bad news is that it will require castration. You have a very rare condition, which causes your testicles to press on your spine, and the pressure creates one hell of a headache. The only way to relieve the pressure is to remove the testicles." Frank was shocked and depressed. He wondered if he had anything to live for. He couldn't concentrate long enough to answer, but decided he had no choice but to go under the knife. When he left the hospital he was without a headache for the first time in 20 years, but he felt like he was missing an important part of himself. As he walked down the street, he realized that he felt like a different person. He could make a new beginning and live a new life. He saw a master tailors atelier and thought, "That's what I need - a new suit." He entered the shop and told the master tailor, "I'd like a new suit." The elderly tailor eyed him briefly and said, "Let's see ... size 44 long." Frank laughed, "That's right, how did you know?" "Been in the business 60 years!" Frank tried on the suit. It fit perfectly. As Frank admired himself in the mirror, the tailor asked, "How about a new shirt?" Frank thought for a moment and then said, "Sure." The tailor eyed Frank and said, "Let's see, 34 sleeve & 16-1/2 neck." Again, Frank was surprised, "That's right, how did you know?" "Been in the business 60 years!" Frank tried on the shirt, and it fit perfectly. As Frank adjusted the collar in the mirror, the tailor asked, "How about new shoes?" Frank was on a roll and said, "Sure." The tailor eyed Frank's feet and said, "Let's see ... 9-1/2 E." Frank was astonished, "That's right, how did you know?" "Been in the business 60 years!" Frank tried on the shoes and they fit perfectly. Frank walked comfortably around the shop and the tailor asked, "How about some new underwear?" Frank thought for a second and said, "Sure." The tailor stepped back, eyed Frank's waist and said, "Let's see... size 36." Frank laughed. "Ah ha! I got you! I've worn size 34 since I was 18 years old." The tailor shook his head, "You can't wear a size 34. A size 34 underwear would press your testicles up against the base of your spine and give you one hell of a headache.
Dies anyone here know why Henry Poole visits Seattle? They are the only bespoke maker who visits the city and given that Seattle does not have a deep suit-wearing tradition, does anyone know where the connection originates from?
Thanks for doing these updates, Kirby! Just one question: when you contact a Savile Row tailor about possibly making a suit for you, is it considered "bad form" to ask them right up front about the price?
I think if you feel that’s uncomfortable (although you do need to know so do ask them) if you refer to the video that Kirby posted several months back on the pricing policies of lots and lots of tailors you should be able to understand who and who not to approach to fit to your appropriate budget.
I’ve emailed tailors to ask what their starting prices are. Also while choosing a fabric, I’ll ask how much a suit will cost in that fabric when I’m deciding
The answer is no! I promise you these people are polite and sensible. Don't be discouraged by some of the wannabe elitist comments. And don't be afraid to work with the tailoring house to find the most suitable option for your pocket. Just try to think from the tailoring house's perspective, they wouldn't want to deprived themselves out of a potential loyal customer. Even though be mindful of the starting prices to make the best decision.

Thank you for doing this and bringing attention to these trunk shows.
These trunk show updates are an excellent idea! Well done

Congrats on 600K 🎉
Kirby you should never gesture with a pen! Get a pen stand, it would certainly add to the desk’s aesthetic.
It's 2023 dude, you serious?
@@G.D.9 probably yes. It’s 2023 and it’s a fountain pen. It makes sense to me

Kirby: Who would you recommend for two-tone shirts white collars and cuffs with a colored shirt.
Thanks, Mr. Allison. Do you happen to know which of these has experience with women's three piece suits, but with a skirt instead of pants?
Huntsman does womenswear and so does Eric Jensen at Sartoria Gallo.
@@kirbyallison Thank you.
No Huntsman? No Anderson & Sheppard?
Hi, do you have any Cigar recommendations for a beginner like me, thank you, Kirby.
@@saqz11 12$ for one cigar is cheap for you? I think most would say cheap cigars are below 10 if not 5 bucks.
@@teekue for a first time cigar, yes. $12 is cheap. you dont want to spend $40 and not enjoy it.
