Thank you for the shout out my friend 😃 I am looking foreward to seeing all the finished Darts, and the subject you chose, looks great. Its gonna be a beauty 😁
Looking good Luka! I like the direction of this build and appreciate all of the builders with knowledge of these cars and the help afforded to us that are not MOPAR aficionados. I'm so happy to be able to join in this years group build.
I hope you get that one done, Matt!! I have a few of those kits, and I always wanted to build an accurate drag car out of it! I like your wheel well, jig. I do the same thing, except I use plastic for the jig. Nice work, so far!! 👏
Cool update! Although you didn't finish the Porsche I believe you will finish this one. I believe this car is closer to your heart. Looks great. Don't forget to touch up the bottom of the floor it shows some white through the chassis. Thanks for sharing.
@@TheLukaCeeChannel Yes... I alway do, love the "Hello Phoenix" ending on all your videos.. cracks me up all the time.. I appreciate it a ton!! I love this community and of coarse the USACC group build so much... Thanks bud..
Thanks for sharing all this knowledge about this subject. That is going to be a great looking Dart when you get it done. Can’t wait to see the updates! ✌🏽😎👍🏾
Research is half the fun! Why do we build model cars, because they're FUN! Keep cutting that styrene.... Keep gluing those fingers.... Here's the producers!
Yeah, I didn't get my Porsche finished, either. I'm not even going to have it done for an upcoming IPMS show on Saturday. I'm going to at least try to get the decals on and clear it this weekend.
Looking good so far Matt. I have no doubt that you will finish this one. It's a subject near and dear to your heart. One suggestion, go with a little smaller tire. The one's you show look more like a top fuel tire and too tall aswell too wide for a super stocker, especially for that era. Just my opinion.
I'm building mine in the Factory look with the grey primer body black front fenders and hood and tires and wheels in a diorama shop with all the racing add on parts on the side along with my Dandy Dick Landy figure and other resin figurine and diorama tool boxes and shop supplies good luck with yours
the Red quarters panel pictures you have are indeed original Dart Hemi panels off of an acquaintance of mines car which is an original Landy Dart S/S. He had these up for sale last year, $350 Canadian for the set. His Dart does get street driven quite often, very nasty sounding car and has even been out when snow flurries started coming down during a cruise night many years ago. Next time i go back to my birth city im going to have to ask to go for a ride :)
Yes, Daryl Klassen. We used to pass e mails years ago. And I recently contacted him about being on my channel podcast. We should be doing that here pretty soon.
The pics of the real car show the rear tires not so far up in the fender. I think I would have shackled the leaf springs up a bit and raised the rear a touch instead of trying to tuck the tires in more. 🤷♂️
My buddy Bruce use to race the car back in the 70’s. He was a friend of Mancini. That’s how he came to own the Gratiot car here in Detroit. I talked to him the other night and said he was contacted about a book their writing and wanted his input. I know he hasn’t had the car for a long time. If you want to contact him I will find out how. Let me know, thanks Dave.
I forgot to add that would like to build the car for him and would like a copy of those decals also. Is that possible. Bruce knows I’m a model builder, and he said he would love to have it. That’s Dave.
Thank you for the shout out my friend 😃

Awesome updates (and thank you for all the info on these in this and previous videos btw 🙏), I LIKE the way this is going, Matt!! ✌️😁

Looking forward to this one for sure. Can't wait to see it finished.

Nice update love it
Very nice work. Things are looking great. Thanks for sharing.
Looks great matt…love the build your goin for.
I love this build subject. I think the rear might need a little more shackle. This is going to be sweet when done!
thanks for the video!

I remember this car. Steve Comella is still racing his dad's original 68 Hemi Dart in SS/AA, and SS/AH.
Yes he does. But that red Cuda sure gets the job done.
@@TheLukaCeeChannel Yes he does. I saw him and Bucky Hess at Maple Grove last week. Steve was racing both cars. Great guys.
Should be a cool build Matt👍😉

Oh HECK YEAH! That is why when Kurt asked me what distributor I wanted. It was all about this build.

I like what you doing with the Dart. Too bad about the Porsch!

That sounds COOL. Fun fact. Those real quarter panels I showed in the video. Were the original quarters off of Dick Landy's LO-23.

I'm a little late, but man you are knocking it out of the park. I don't like the hood scoop either. Thanks Luka
Thanks Sam.

I'm thinking the same thing.
I know the man who bought the car from Mancini. He is a friend of mine,we went to high school together. I just called him, waiting to hear back.
@@MaggieGentry-fv8mt that's cool. Where is the car, today?
