      @@KennaKrueger I used to cry, but after decades of dealing with chronic health issues and lots of incompetence in the healthcare system, I start getting irritated and politely aggressive. This week I spent the better part of four days making phone calls to sort out a mess with insurance and my specialty medication. A new specialty pharmacy bought out my specialty pharmacy and another specialty pharmacy, needed to run me through the other one they bought out, and my insurance company had no idea what was going on.

    • @KennaKrueger
      @KennaKrueger  3 года назад +1

      @@Dulcimerist i need to start learning how to be politely aggressive haha because I still cry. That sounds like such a mess to have to deal with, I hope it is figured out now!

    • @Dulcimerist
      @Dulcimerist 3 года назад +1

      @@KennaKrueger Yeah, my medication ships on Monday. I started the process of filling it a full week early, so it works out. If you're able to, always fill your prescriptions early and slowly build up a buffer supply of medication so that issues like this never cause you to abruptly run out of medication - going off of certain medications cold turkey can be dangerous, so that buffer supply can be a lifesaver!
      Next time you find yourself crying, have some affirmations written down to help fire you up! It's okay to get angry!

    • @KennaKrueger
      @KennaKrueger  3 года назад +1

    Those Cape Cod chips are SO GOOD!!!!!
    Does your Costco get the Fit Crunch protein bars? Those are amazing!
    I've also picked up some really good pho cups that just need the little packets opened and then pour boiling water on to make.

    • @KennaKrueger
      @KennaKrueger  3 года назад +1

      yes they were delicious! And I am not sure but I think those bars have a dairy product in it which I stay away from because it makes things worse! I remember seeing those pho cups too, they look delicious! When I was healthy I would eat pho my boyfriends family makes and it was soooo good

    Hi Kenna, I didn't realize you could still eat orally with a GJ. Does eating cause you any stomach pain? Does any of it go through or are you just suctioning it out? Sorry for all the questions, a tube may be in my future and just trying to be prepared. Thanks for all you do to support our community!

  • @Dulcimerist

    Baileys Irish Cream would be delicious in that drink.
    What does alcohol do with your gastroparesis? Does it make things worse? I have to be cautious/responsible with alcohol because of my Ehlers Danlos, POTS, digestive dysmotility, etc. Somehow a moderate amount reduces my POTS and dizziness, though.

    • @KennaKrueger
      @KennaKrueger  3 года назад +1

      I personally don't try to drink much alcohol because I am afraid that it won't sit well and personally don't really like the taste. The last alcohol I had was a couple sips of wine around Christmas time but I wasn't as sick then and I also had such a small amount because I didn't like it haha Thats kind of crazy though that it helps reduce some of the dizziness

    • @Dulcimerist
      @Dulcimerist 3 года назад +1

      @@KennaKrueger Yeah, the taste of alcohol takes some getting used to. I tend to get tired of the taste of alcohol before I have a chance to get drunk, which is probably a good thing.
      Alcohol is a vasodilator, and vasodilation helps to reduce my Ehlers Danlos circulatory issues; like dysautonomia, POTS, Raynaud's, dizziness, and fainting. It's impossible for me to pass out if I have alcohol in my system.

    Don’t blame you, making phone calls to almost anything is a pain these days to talk to a live person 🤪 Also, a question, you say constipation, are you talking about just draining, or are you able to go to bathroom like everyone else. Others on here with your condition can only drain from their tube, they can’t go to bathroom like most of us
