"Excuse me, Sir. The Security Police are here and they're surrounding the house. When will you be wanting lunch?" One of the best comedies of all time. ;)
That is Woody himself playing clarinet throughout along with both the legendary New Orleans Preservation Hall Jazz Band and the New Orleans Funeral Band.
I like his later films too but I'd watch this, Bananas,, & Everything you wanted yo know over Interiors, Hannah and her Sisters, etc. I'm gladd he made all these films. Few people make films with European settings, thoughtful plots, intelligent dialogue and so on. He can ddo it because great actors will work cheap for him. He writes the entire script first and is efficient and intelligent.
The end of the movie when Woody is holding a gun to the NOSE THE LEADER IS TELLING WHEN CORPORATIONS BECAME THE HEAD OF THE GOVERNMENT NOT THE A DEMOCRACY .

I love the of ragtime music, it adds a really neat comedic dimension to the movie!

That music could go on forever!
" I'm not the heroic type, I was beaten up by Quakers"
I now use that line myself.
What means please?
HAHAHA......🤣🤣
"FLY, GODDAMN IT, FLY! GODDAMN CHEAP JAPANESE FLYING PACKS!" That line kills me every time.
I love Woody Allen..
Maybe his best pure comedy, and one that has survived to the point of still being a scream over 40 years later.
I was just out of high school and went with a bunch of friends and laughed so hard..
That short ladder is one the simplest yet funniest gags I’ve ever seen.
"I was beaten up by Quakers!" LMAO
We're getting awfully close to living in these times.
Just 153 years
Well pass me the Orb!
This mold was broken when it was made... a classic!!
A great silent comedy that was no actually silent. The great silent comedians like Chaplin, Keaton and Lloyd would have loved this film.
We can't forget Bill Murray because he's the type who doesn't have to say any lines and you just laugh at him
That’s a nice thought and I think you’re right!
One of the best slapstick movies ever made. Favourite line 'that's a big chicken'..cracks me up every time.

"Why, they could torture you for months...."
"What could you tell them?"
"Only my name, rank, and serial number, and your names"
Got to love a bit of slapstick😂
Classic movie!
I think this is a Great comedy. It makes me laugh. God Bless Woody Allen. Best Wishes to Everyone. Sincerely, Tom
3:47 This is incredibly accurate...We've got dustbins now that look JUST like that. (Also, was that Rick Moranis as Woody Allen's stunt double?).
Great movie.
2023 now makes this 50 years old!
And 50 years later it all came true.
Those security guys run about as well as stormtroopers shoot, lol
The only Domestic Robot with Glasses.
I've seen that saucer house in Colorado.
These Security Police are about as effective as the Star Wars Stormtroopers
❤❤❤❤--> best comedy !!! Classic Woody is a scream !!
This movie is hilarious
Tesla type trucks and cars, drone packs...Woody knew!😮
The Federation Security Guards are wearing Red Shirts..just like Star Trek!

Such a funny slapstick movie with that music.
Beaten by Quakers
Taken page for page from Orwell's "1984". Can be enjoyed by children and adults. Arguably Woodys funniest.
2:10 Just startled the sleeping dog with my laughing. .
2:28 I always got a kick out of those two with the launcher😂
Best scene
Woody saw the future because he lived in the past.
I always felt bad for the doctors.
And to think I thought this was not a real house, but a prop. But the darn thing is real, LOL
"Organic rice!"
Any idea what this tune is called? I know its The Preservation
Woody Allen on the clarinet with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band from New Orleans. :)
3:06 This scene always makes me laugh.
The end of the movie when Woody is holding a gun to the NOSE THE LEADER IS TELLING WHEN CORPORATIONS BECAME THE HEAD OF THE GOVERNMENT NOT THE A DEMOCRACY .
Trousers we got trousers…
Big sale! T'emendous!
When will you be wanting lunch lol?!
Artificial intelligence is the future indeed
this is what star trek looks like when i'm on 20 or so hits of acid
