She's one of the smartest people to enter the show, no way she would choose a song that doesn't fit her vocals. Makes sense now why the song didn't seem to suit her, she didn't want it!
Mnet choose all the songs. They made chaeyhyun to sing black mamba because she is an SM former trainee and friends with aespa and they edited her high note to make her look bad that this is why she didn’t debut with them. And the twins two, they said that they didn’t like the song it it didn’t suit their vocals or styles. And the helicopter drama too
@@sosom5307 you’re right, but c’mon it’s obv that chaehyun had a voice crack and it looks ‘edited’ to you. yes it’s edited, because they repeated her voice crack to emphasize it. but not to the point of ‘editing’ to make her voice crack
not only that, she wasn't even in her best condition when performing, being the second to the last one to come to the stage, after long hours of waiting and not eating. T^T
they just want to promote Xiaoting and Yurina in the demo stage. if they give Xiaoting singing oh my girl or a high note song, she would be flop. or if give Hmph! to Yurina, of course it will make her look stupid. but mnet always success with their evil plan, most people are stupid easy to manipulate.

This is something that korean laws should take care because of the human rights. Poor girls and worst labor conditions. Sorry for bad English, I'm Peruvian.
No, there are none cause even if South Korean Ent doesn't do this usually trainees would do that just to stand out in a competitive and oversaturated k-pop life.
I remember when the first episodes of gp999 came out and everyone was talking about how the contestants this year seemed to be less talented then other years and that none of them could sing that well, while a lot of the Korean girls also got a lot of praises 😭 Mf I will never forgive mnet for what they did to the c-group girls. Ziyin had some of the most solid vocals I've seen in these survival shows and instead of letting her showcase her talent they set her up for dramatime.
Yeah, I admit I was one of the people who fell for the editing and felt... underwhelmed? Disappointed? Like, there doesn't seen to be anything remarkable about the girls, save for a few. That thought was crushed very quickly, though I regret thinking that to this day. It turned out to be the exact opposite, after all. Most of them just never got the chance to fully show their best.
Korean contestants are probably used to such condition s bc they are trainees under kpop companies. While most c and j group aren't. Similar things also happened in pd48 too when half of them are japanese
@@claireshi7384 that's where you're wrong tho. Everyone kept using the "they've trained under real kpop trainee conditions" so they're better than the c and j group girls excuse but the truth is the Japanese and especially the Chinese girls carried this whole show. They have the same talent and skills as the Korean girls but with more charisma and better captivated the audience. When you think about gp999 the first names that come to mind are hikaru, su Ruiqi, Shen xiaoting, Yurina, Mashiro, Fu yaning, cai bing.

So we couldn't blame them if the song wasn't fit for them 😭
Ok but the fact she mentioned that she has no rights on choosing the song to perform on the first performance stage already proves that the Liang twins are indeed correct. We were all saying ziyin chose the wrong song to perform, she's literally forced to perform a song she didn't even want to in the first place.
If you aren't Korean or one of the Mnet favorites you were set up to fail for the audition. Dancers were put into Main Vocal positions and vice versa this show was a fraud from the very beginning
@@cocoabutter-n7l since they cant choose the songs given to them, they probably had their teams chosen as well. Which explains why some of the c group teams had weak main vocals (e.g. wenzhe in helicopter when shes in dance position)
Liang Qiao live also said the same thing. On recording days, they were recording for 40 hours straight without resting time. Also, there were times that all trainees only slept for 1 hour for several days straight. I don't know how companies can make people do that. Won't that be violating some human rights/labor laws?
@@magrittte I now understand why Sein was sleeping/half awake. Poor girl she is only 14-15 yo it's actually very tough. At the beginning I found it disrespectful but now I can truly feel her.
The audacity MSnake had too purposefully give trainees songs of their seniors on the show (yujin , sunmi & tiffany) also notice how all the contestants performing these songs were chinese ( yaning and her team , wang yale and her team and zi yin) .....the evil editing was already set and planned for these C- trainees , good thing she left 🤦
The 'We go up helicopter...' thing was all scripted by Mnet. Mnet evil edited Yaning. Mnet wanted to create a fake drama between Yaning and Yujin to make the show more popular. There was no such drama between them in real life. In fact, Fu Yaning and Yujin are best friends in real life. Fu Yaning and Yujin were seen shopping together and holding each others hands. Also Yaning and Yujin danced to helicopter together during the fan meeting, they both hug each other and Yaning did a 90 degrees bow to Yujin. Yaning respects Yujin, complimented Yujin several times. Yaning told yujin 'Yujin Unnie, You're the best' Many current and former contestants also cheer for Yaning.
@Miran Fahal i dont honestly think it hasd to do with her health but rather she was fed up with the show the mistreatment and being in a xenophobic country. Chinese trainees were treated horribly, the makeup artists would do such horrible jobs on the Chinese girls ziyin herself had to try fix it up for them, they weren't even offered something as simple as a dictionary to help learn Korean, and they would gather only as cgroup to cry in a stairwell. Plus not the mention the constant evil edits, mistranlation and villinisation of only the Chinese trainees. In my opinion ziyin already knew she stood no chance of debuting in a state like that she had lost hope and decided to take action and save herself before mnet destroyed her career of any chance in the entertainment industry. She was perfectly happy on youth with you and she was close to elimination majority of the time but her smile was still extremely bright. The Chinese trainees all know a lot in my opinion cause everytime yaning is always looking at mnet staff and she always knows whos ranked what, even in the debut group when they were announcing third position yaning pointed at yujin and shes done this multiple times. This shows fishy in my opinion people say its not rigged but I don't trust it, too many coincidences to be a coincidence. I hope some cgroup girls expose the shit out of mnet because their debut dreams and careers were basically destroyed if there’s a lawsuit involved even better.
@@KaylaHuang-s2v this is a great comment. i can understand why she chose to drop out, considering the filming was high stress, poorly organized plus xenophobia and cyberbulling from the knetz etc.. i would also give up too. i never followed ywy but someone posted clips of fu yaning and ziyin in the show and they were all so CUTE and HAPPY with the other trainees. i had never seen fu yaning laugh that hard even in gp999. mnet evil edited her into a scary, mean character and if i never saw those compilations, i wouldn't have known she has adorable personality too. and in the 1st episode when ziyin performed i thought it was weird she sang Siren bc that she debuted as a vocalist in China. then i find out thats mnet fault too. i also agree with you saying its rigged. when i watched the episode live voting was also used.... the voting closed in the early part of the show. people are saying mnet cant rig bc theyre being watched, but we cant say for sure there was no possibility for manipulation or errors, especially since everything was counted so fast. i dont trust it either.
@@KaylaHuang-s2v yes. I noticed fuyaning always looking at mnet staff when they are deciding who will be the leader and so on for O.O.O. mission. Mnet didn't show how she get the center position, they are try to blocking her to shine. I personally think Fu Yaning is a smart girl, she know well and aware about it. Besides, she try to avoid and minimize all the evil edits. She manage to hold her temper and behaviour for that. This showed her inner strength and her EQ is quite strong. That's why I admire her the most among all. C girls are not easy and I just wish all the best to them in the future.
how is that even possible??? Staying up for 30 hours and not eating for 12 hours, but still can sing and dance ??? Im literally drowsy tf out after 18 hours not sleeping, this is so wild 😨
"I hadn't sleep for like 30hours, and hadn't eat anything for 12 hours" Yet so many people hate on RuiQi for 'yawning' 🙄 when clearly is part of Mnet's evil edited towards her. The audacity of these haters 🙄 Screw Mnet, Ziyin, CaiBing and RuiQi , and all the C Trainees deserved better.
honestly that's fucked up. Not sleeping for 30 hours and not eating for 12 hours? They're lucky no one collapsed. There are literal minor there, no wonder some of them didn't perform their best.
This is why I don’t blame twice if all members decided to not renew their contracts. This is too much. I was a new parent this year with my kid and not sleeping for 3 days straight gave me hallucinations and I was able to fall asleep anywhere anytime. If I had gone through similar stress and without sleep and food I’d lash out so hard at everyone lmao cai bing being emotional is totally understandable. I don’t know how the other trainees suppress themselves so much and stay professional I sure as hell can’t. And I can see how this is super bad for younger idols like yeseo. I feel really mixed up for supporting her. I would never want my son to go through anything like this at that age

TWICE has better condition than this don't worry. the only thing that's bad is probably the schedule, which is already expected because there an idol and they always have tight scheduling
Pretty sure mnet purposely showed Cai Bing like that. I'm sure all the trainees had some cranky moments but yeah MNET just wants to put down the c trainees
one thing that i realised is that in Youth with You, the contestants gained weight while in the show but in GP999 they either lost weight or have to sneak in food or snacks. Mnet should do better in taking care of their contestants
Yeah, in ywy the contestants were so happy! And the show was all about friendship, where as gp999 is just all about drama and the girls look tired at this point

They get a letter from Mnet's lawyers for not respecting the NDA they signed, nothing sus to send them a letter if they don't abide by the contract they signed. It's much easier for the Chinese girls to "expose" Mnet because they're out of reach of Korean courts. Korean trainees would risk a lot more by speaking out like they do.

There are worse horror stories from Idol School. The conditions were so bad that several trainees had their menstrual cycles interrupted !!! and they were starving for days.
I am not surprised about Sleeping and Eating problem when you're trainee. Thats why beeing an Idol in korea is really hard, and Mnet doing this to all participants its not fair and pushing them to performed even they dont like the songs that they cause a bad performance. Yeah MNET IS A MANIPULATED SHOW EVER!
Ziyin is dropping out because the unhealthy schedule mnet gave them. It probably affect her health. Also, she joined many shows before, done many concerts, joined singing competitions , for sure she won't sing any song that doesn't fit her vocal. It is just mnet way to drain their energy and film it at their worst. Honestly, it is better for ziyin to debut outside that show. There's no point to redebut after the contract ends. Based of pd101, the disbanded group members are not all suceed in this industry. Some of the members remain unknown and unpopular. I hope ziyin will debut in a permanent group and got a chance to showcase her talent more
Based on p101 unspoken law if the winners (ioi, w1, izone and x1) REDEBUT IN GROUP they will less success. But if they REDEBUT AS SOLOIST, they will more success. Chungah, Somi, Wooseok, Eunbi, Jo Yuri, Kang Daniel, Kim Jeahwan(?) all success either domestic or international or both as soloists. I believe Ziyin already debut. She will be just fine in industry but it a shame she got no screentime to show how good personality or talented she is. Basically, she get less exposed during GP999. It such a waste tbh.
@@mujakim2889 out of the soloists, the only ones that are *actually* doing well/ok is chungha and daniel. The ones that are generally doing well are those in acting (sejong, pinky in china, chaeyeon, mina, jihoon (maybe not so well yet), seungwoo and yohan. (minju and hyewon still pending). Japanese members (like those in akb48, hkt48 etc.) (and idols from china in general) are also doing ok because they can return to their country with large domestic fanbase and market. And tho pinky isnt as popular as wsjn chinese line in china, she still has 7.7+ million followers on weibo which is more than gidle's yuqi. Plus the china market is so huge and thriving that actors and actresses are paid really well, esp if theyre famous and previously highly paid. (The same goes for their variety show/programmes casting which is also how they managed to get lisa to become the judge of ywy 2 and 3) The contract is also much fairer than kpop ent. This is why many C-kpop idols switch to focusing on the c-market. So judging from this, pinky is paid wayyy better than the average kpop idol/actress.
I mean, the show had its issues... Their voting system was messed up. I can barely drive after staying up for over 24 hours, I can’t imagine the willpower it takes to make yourself dance in heels and sing in front of not just the original artist, but one who’s there’s to specifically judge you, and also in front of millions of viewers, my mind is thoroughly blown
This is exactly why I don’t think it’s fair to give the contestants criticism if they make a mistake. The filming process for these shows are so grueling and they’re likely so exhausted and stressed out. It’s not easy. At the end of the day they’re all extremely talented and we should appreciate them for giving us great performances in these tough times and please don’t hate any of the girls :)
She barely had screentime but she got my attention. She’s one of my top 9 picks and it saddened me to see her go but nonetheless, I hope she’ll do well in china
Oh my god, the contestants are so strong. The mnt ethics didnt change at all, the trainees are treated differently(foreigners received the bitter end of staff and screentime) and have to eat less and barely sleep
The Liang twin talked about this too!! Mnet chose most of the participants' songs so they can manipulate the storylines and performance quality of everyone, the ones they want to promote are given songs that highlight their good qualities, while the ones they don't want (or in Yaning's case, literal evil edit), are given songs that don't suit their style and/or vocal color/range, so they will appear untalented and unfavorable to the audience. And surprise surprise, most of the unfavorable song choices were given to c-trainees :/. I still remember the compilation edit of "bad" performances from c-trainees during the initial audition episodes and mnet literally only showed the worst mistakes from those performances. And the Liang twins were given that weird song and awful costume just so they can appear as a joke for the audience to have a good laugh, they are ballet dancers for crying out loud :///. The only reason they did a KCJ concept this time is because they want that money from China and Japan, but they are xeonphobic to the core. They got caught for vote manipulations in all the previous seasons but they are showing us in 999 that they have a million other ways to manipulate and twist facts. The finale voting system is also completely wack. Good thing I stopped following this show closely after Ziyin left, mnet is honestly disgusting.
These conditions aren't only unfair, it's inhumane and borderline abusive. Not letting someone sleep for 30 hours, not letting them eat or drink for 12 hours and expecting them to be able function properly? I don't think even slaves were treated this horribly. Thank God she left mnet, screw them they can go to hell.
had the trainees chosen their own audition songs, i think the show would turn out so much more different than what it became. still dont get why mnet did that but eet eez what eet eez
it's pretty amazing how well she sang despite the conditions, most people sound like trash after not drinking water for a while and it can be extremely damaging to singers, damaging their vocal cords irreparably. for example, hugh jackman (who's a broadway singer) fasted for 36 hours prior to filming some scenes in the les mis movie musical and it shows in his voice, it's scary to listen to almost because of how much he could potentially lose from doing that too much.
i knew something was off when i found out the title of her song, i mean it's not bad but i didnt thunk it was ziyin's style :( i'm glad she was able to share us this info, it must've weighed in her mind. Drama aside, i hope she's resting well!
They should sue Mnet being inhuman discrimination about trainees especially C group. I'm really mad about how Korea show treat the foreigners like this wtf! So disgusting Mnet did this to them, no wonder C group trainees crying together often said by Mayulin! No wonder most of the trainees fall as sleep during the episode 1 performance.
this is so inhumane... i knew they mistreated idols especially when it came to food and sleep but i was hoping that would've improved since produce. what a shame, i feel awful for them all.
How can they do such things ?? These people have no humanity, they're basically monsters. 1st: forcing her to perform a song she doesn't want to perform ???? Seriously ?? 2nd: making her perform it in front of the original artist... as a surprise ?? So cruel. 3rd: starving them the whole day !!!? 4th: deprive them of sleep?? Just, what the hell is going on with this show. The people who organize it should pay to the girls, they should be in jail what is even going on. Just think about how cruel they are and what are they capable of doing just for the money. The contracts of the final TOP9 must be terrible.
To be honest I saw her face of disappointment when she survived, I was like oh this girl wanted to be done with all this bullsh*t she looked so over it 😂
it’s a good thing she left thinking about it now, even xiaoting the only c trainee to make it looked unhappy to debut, wishing zi yin a smooth road ahead! :)
it's given to the part where she shouldn't speak regarding to the happenings inside GP999 in *details* because of NDA but the fact she tried to stay awake for more than 24hrs?! I salute these girls.
I don't know which is worse the fact that they were that stressed or the fact that some comments are actually agreeing that it is normal. 😂😂😂 Please why are people killing themselves over becoming idols. Now I see why it's so painful for them when they don't get to debut. They shouldn't have to suffer like this just to entertain others. Is this common in every music industry or just K-pop.

If you all recall, on Produce 48, Jurina abruptly left the show due to health concerns. I always thought that it was suspicious because it looked like she was probably not going to debut. I wonder if Zi Yin leaving the show was under similar circumstances. Was it because she saw the situation to be unworkable?
The fact that this is the reality of K-industry, I get it now there are so many idol who smile brightly but deep-down inside of them, they all broken because of this kind of mistreatment behind the scene. K-Idols are not allowed to even commit some human mistakes bcoz if they did, their long years of hardworking and waiting to debut will go to waste. Cancel culture in Korea has a big role in playing an idols life. So sad to see many young idols who want to chase their dreams but end up in the lions den of greedy producers and shitty directors. If you aren't Korean or one of the Mnet favorites you were set up to fail for the audition. Dancers were put into Main Vocal positions and vice versa this show was a fraud from the very beginning
What about the groups? Did Mnet also chose the members in their first performances?
@@cocoabutter-n7l since they cant choose the songs given to them, they probably had their teams chosen as well. Which explains why some of the c group teams had weak main vocals (e.g. wenzhe in helicopter when shes in dance position)

In yesterday vlive, Sury also told that she get the snapping song to perfom
They didn't eat for 12 hours?? bruh I can't even skip a meal (which also includes snacks 'cuz why not?) for a day!
Liang Qiao live also said the same thing. On recording days, they were recording for 40 hours straight without resting time. Also, there were times that all trainees only slept for 1 hour for several days straight. I don't know how companies can make people do that. Won't that be violating some human rights/labor laws?

Yaning told yujin 'Yujin Unnie, You're the best'
Many current and former contestants also cheer for Yaning.
Anna thank you for saying this because almost noone knows about yanings anew yujins relatonship which is good not bad as mnet wanted us to think
@Ad Hominem the twins said it was scripted so stop looking for an excuse to throw hate
mnet did dirty to all of them except their fav, just like they give Ruan singing oh my girl - nonstop in demo stage. lol
@Ad Hominem the mentors told Yaning to do some trash talk to Yujin. all of them like it and laughing. re watch the episode again if you didn't notice.
No wonder her health deterioted ...feel so bad for all the minors on the show too 😭
I'm glad that she dropped out considering her health
That's tough...
do we know specifically what was going on with her health? or was it a general concern?
That's why I admire her the most among all.

honestly that's fucked up. Not sleeping for 30 hours and not eating for 12 hours? They're lucky no one collapsed. There are literal minor there, no wonder some of them didn't perform their best.
Yeah now we know why sein was sleeping

I respect parents who take care of their kids and love them. It's definitely a hard job.
i believe Jeongyeon even said that if she had a kid she would never allow them to enter this industry. and that was right after SIXTEEN as well
Pretty sure mnet purposely showed Cai Bing like that. I'm sure all the trainees had some cranky moments but yeah MNET just wants to put down the c trainees
When ziyin said "i cant say any details otherwise mnet would sue me" that def meant that mnet is treating the girls poorly and hiding something
one thing that i realised is that in Youth with You, the contestants gained weight while in the show but in GP999 they either lost weight or have to sneak in food or snacks. Mnet should do better in taking care of their contestants
I miss ywy2
Yeah, in ywy the contestants were so happy! And the show was all about friendship, where as gp999 is just all about drama and the girls look tired at this point

I am glad that she looks happy and comfortable, was really worried about Xu Ziyin during the elimination.

3 DAYS WITHOUT SLEEP??? they really pushed their limits just to debut :((

Well done well done best girl 👍😘
had the trainees chosen their own audition songs, i think the show would turn out so much more different than what it became. still dont get why mnet did that but eet eez what eet eez
it's pretty amazing how well she sang despite the conditions, most people sound like trash after not drinking water for a while and it can be extremely damaging to singers, damaging their vocal cords irreparably. for example, hugh jackman (who's a broadway singer) fasted for 36 hours prior to filming some scenes in the les mis movie musical and it shows in his voice, it's scary to listen to almost because of how much he could potentially lose from doing that too much.
I'm thankful she didn't stay. That 2yr contract and biased regulations by MNET is not worth sacrificing anyone's health over.
i knew something was off when i found out the title of her song, i mean it's not bad but i didnt thunk it was ziyin's style :( i'm glad she was able to share us this info, it must've weighed in her mind.

So sad to see many young idols who want to chase their dreams but end up in the lions den of greedy producers and shitty directors. So many idols have no voice or right for their own lives.
I hope there comes a day, when all this idol mistreatment ends and they got a proper credit for all their hardworks.
That is crazy. Mnet could've split the recording schedule for everyone's health. GOODNESS!
