    A lot stronger, and quieter without slides, plus a lot less to go wrong. Properly designed, a Prevost without slides still has plenty of room.

      Seems like most of these coaches are made for couples. Some nice coaches with simple designed interiors are definitely needed out there.

    • @marvinjgerald6007
      @marvinjgerald6007 3 года назад +2

      Fade To Black LLC I know you meant conversions but then again why not as couples and groups are are the majority buyers of these big azz buses. Us single folks can custom order or just keep tweaking ready made conversions to our liking. And I’m just really realizing slide-outs are for people who like to stop’n stay for a long time, all the time. Otherwise slide outs are a cramper to travel in, no matter how high-end a brand.

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC 3 года назад +1

      @@marvinjgerald6007 well I have two kids so when I was looking it was kinda hard to find a Pusher with room for them to sleep. Most of the older coaches had chairs and tables. Seems they were set up for a couples style living not families. I like the tour bus style with bunks but for a single person the option for more sleeping is needed at least for guests so your not limited.
      I really like the bus Andrew is traveling in. I also like our bath and a half though too.
      If only there was a perfect world I'd have two Prevost 😁😁

    That’s exactly what my thoughts were and what led me to a used entertainer, didn’t need slides, I was not afraid of a few scratches, Love having the five roof air-conditioning units and the bus air, my coach to me is a working machine and it is utilitarian. Granted we did have quite a few things redone on the interior, floors, larger shower, redid the leather, galley, countertops, new fridge, all new electronics, entertainment and barbecue in the basement bay, Took out three bunks and made an office is no liberty or marathon but it serves my purpose for being on the road as much as possible. As weird as it sounds one of my favorite features is having the slide door between the buddy seat and the drivers compartment to shut me off from my family 😳🤔🤪

    My Newell was an entertainer coach with 8 bunks , lounge in the rear, and only a small toilet room. I removed all but 2 bunks, built a bedroom in the rear, a full bathroom midship, and a roomy full kitchen. It's a big job if you do it right!! I have a solid coach without all the superfluous options that require more service.

  • @uliwehner
    @uliwehner 3 года назад +2

    thanks Andrew, that is exactly what i was looking for. This confirms my thought that a entertainer style travel coach is more suitable for us younger guys. we do not need a full time living coach for a retired couple with grand kids. one set of bunks and a pull out couch would be better. big fridge and less indoor kitchen. cook outside. oh, and for your buddy Andrew, get a urinal! it is your coach!

  • @ozarkliving7263
    @ozarkliving7263 2 года назад +1

    Amen, I’d order a Newell with a minimalist approach, I agree with this guy 100%. Less is more. Designed like my Toyota’s, reliable, nothing gaudy. Grey ghost body paint and tons of stainless. No artist paint job. Love his coach. Less TV’s. Would like a SubZero frig like I have at home.

    I see what he's saying, I really like that Tour coach but one set of bunks would be good and then use the other side for a big closet. I love having a bath and a half now though so that has to be there as well.

      I Love, my ex Hemphill star coach is reliable I am on my new engine, trans, king pin, new tires, new paint etc , yes it did have some issues but like anything it travels down the hwy with no issues w/ the coach at a constant 68 degrees this summer in Arizona across I-40 and pulls like a beast in the hills of Colorado w/o rattling the insides and it has no DEF needed (best thing I ever did was sell the stacker tailer 65' feet total is no joke and you always better have a plan of where you're going with those and get the Prevost engine cradle kit for the weight) yes sometimes the coach is a money pit, but its great family hauler, you are correct it did have a lot of miles on it when I got it (north of 600,000) . I would have no issue doing it again looking at say a used Hemphill, Roberts Bros, Senators, etc, lots of nice coaches in the music city now in the $200K- $300K range.
