      Ok, but is it like proper tuning, like 225Hz, 234Hz, 252Hz, etc, to 432Hz, or is it just detunging it to 432Hz, in which case each note isn't being properly tuned, so instead of 225Hz you get 228Hz and so on? If the former, I'm so hyped, but if the latter, meh.

    Thankyou for the video, succinct and to the point as always. I am currently tuning up to 444hz (to get C5 at 528hz) as I produce for the meditative music market. I add Binaural beats to access certain wavelengths in the brain (that's the theory anyway). I would be interested to know your thoughts. Thanks again for your videos, I always learn something useful from them. Keep up the good work!

      Thanks! I will. As for the different tuning standards, I'm not sure that I buy into the spiritual part of it all, but I certainly think that it can help your music stand out from the rest. Some tracks can probably sound better when tuned slightly differently.

    I'm tuning my favorite music to 432hz just to check. It sounds serious. Like... It's like 432hz is tuned to reality and serious outlook on the life 😂 Sounds weird to say but this is what I get from this tuning. It feels kinda beautiful. It's something I'm not sure about yet but it sure is "serious" and "not deceptive" kinda feeling and I can hear a lot of things very clearly with this tuning, I can hear the sounds that weren't noticeable with my speakers before. I only hear these sounds clearly with my headphones using Sonarworks SoundID. Maybe its good to mix in 432hz? I should try 😂
    Turning 440hz and 432hz back and forth, I noticed that 440hz has a lot of "distractions" or noises, noticeable in the mid range, there's so much bshchsch sound going on. 432hz calms down the sound and make sounds easier to hear.
    But 432hz is not suitable for energetic music like EDM. 432hz couldn't hit the spot when the music is energetic. I've read someone on the comments talking about 444hz so I tried it. It's good for music with high tension probably like Big Room House. It adds more intensity but I was getting stressed listening to 444hz. My stomach didn't react well to that tuning.

    • @FireWalkMusic
      @FireWalkMusic  3 года назад +12

      You're welcome. Make sure that you have the stretch algorithm selected for all your samples. The easiest way to do that is to go to the "Tools" menu up top, then go to macros, and then select "Switch all audio clips to realtime stretching". When that's done, the tempo or pitch won't affect the samples. You can now also adjust the BPM up or down, and everything will stay in sync.

    • @FireWalkMusic
      @FireWalkMusic  3 года назад +3

      There's some more info about it in the video description. Put shortly, there are different tuning standards out there. The "normal" standard we're accustomed to is where A is tuned to 440 Hz. However, some people think the music sounds better when the tuning is slightly different, and that's what it's basically all about. Today, in the digital realm most people uses the standard tuning standard where A=440 Hz. However, back in the day they operated with a vast variety of standards. Tuning back then was a bit all over the place and would often differ from one composition to another.

Perfect geometry tuning is similar to golden ratio tuning but it does only add up to the number 12,15 or 18 (3-6-9) for each single note in perfect but golden ratio uses partial hertz whilst perfect uses whole numbers only.

    Great video...this made me click the bell too. I always thought tuning to 432 meant adding a wide low pass filter that stretched to that frequency. I sincerely have no idea what it means now even after seeing it done because i now am asking myself what does the normal tuning mean & what does it matter?
    In my mind its dogmatic & means nothing in light of the fact that we start songs in various keys hence the experiment of doing it should sound differently every time depending on the key of the song if you are merely pitching down your song x amount of cents. What if i started my song pitched down?
    How dare any theory presume to know what key my song is in is what Im thinking. None of this makes sense apart from my objection to the entire theory now that I know what it means. Anyone, please enlighten me.
    Ive subbed to many 432 hz music channels that stream soft filtered pad heavy music for "healing" as they say its the healing frequency so i presumed there was some magical super wide band filter that reached all the way to that frequency but now Im dumbfounded & lost...even upset that this is what it was the whole time because it makes no sense.

      traditionally, the middle "A" note on a piano is tuned to play the frequency 440hz. However many people argue that it should be tuned to 432hz due to the music sounding richer and with more clarity etc. Some people believe it has special properties. this is because it resonates with 8hz, which is apparently the background "hum" of the earth. Boosting 432hz on an EQ is not tuning to 432hz. To achieve the effect of the instruments in your music being tuned to 432hz, you pitch everything down 32 cents.

    • @harmonyib5677
      @harmonyib5677 3 года назад +1

      I thought the same as well, the 432hz music does sound filtered from what I have listened to including the 528hz music, I think it's a combination of both pitching and filtering. Besides, Low pass filter is commonly used in all kinds of music production.

      Hi, there are some useful articles about this in the video description. :)

  • @jakewenttocolorado

    I actually analyzed the amplitude of 432 hz in 5 different songs and found no difference in 432 content when comparing A = 440 and A = 432. This is probably because pretty much all recorded music contains the 432hz frequency, before and after retuning. Obviously, analyzing more music would help give us a better picture of the situation. But as of right now, to me, it seems like retuning your music doesn't generally make a differences in terms of 432 content. So if you like music tuned to 432 more, it is likely not because of the specific frequency of 432 at all. If I had to guess, the music just sounds a little lower and people enjoy that for whatever reason. I'd argue that if you pitched it to A = 431 or even A = 420, you'd probably get the same effect really. Also, a lot of songs aren't really playing A = 440 in a pure sense anyway. I imagine you'd find more purely 440 music in modern electronic music than just about anything else, but anything with a real instrument is bound to be a little off. Even if you tune your guitar to A = 440, youre still not going to be playing strictly in A = 440 because of all the conditions effecting the frequencies of your guitar. How hard you pick or pluck the string changes the frequencies, hell, even the slight string bend that occurs from pressing it against the fretboard makes a noticeable difference. P.S. I haven't properly tested this but for what its worth, when I sweep across the frequency spectrum of a given song, 432 hz doesn't seem particularly quieter than most other frequencies, there will be some particularly loud frequencies here or there, but in general, it doesn;t seem like 432 is being particularly suppressed.

      Second question how to transfer a song on USB to fl in order to change pitch to 432hz do I need to play entire song on keyboard onto fl and rerecord on pitch adjustable to 432hz? Third question 440 minus 8 cents is 432hz right? Why people keep telling 32 cents? How to calculate the cents please?

    You won't really notice it until you start to do harmonics after tuning to it, but when you do, you might be able to hear it and you can also see it visualized in eq's etc. So it definitely does SOMETHING, but many will probably disregard it after just setting it to 432 and not realizing it won't be very easy to tell if you use a single note and not harmonize with the new tune

      They just downtune equal temperament 440 hz to 432 while it is different tuning. Most of them are not even 432, just usual 440. it's a scam, i saw 888hz music, 1111, 418, 777 and so on. People in chat would talk about their life problems and about spiritual stuff while listening to a composition of few chords with some pluck synths for 2 and up to 8 hours thinking they somehow will clean themselves, or it will give something to them, like money etc. Its a shame a lot of people are tricked in this primitive magical thinking.

    Important note! There is an alternate natural frequency to A432 hz Scientific Tuning. It is the Schumann Resonnance: earth’s natural atmosphere frequency. This is A at 444hz. About 20 percent sharper.
    But what really REALLY blew my mind was this:
    After a year of tuning my favorite tracks to A432hz, I realized that sometimes it just “wrong.” As if the music was dragging. Well, when I learned about A444hz, I tried it with these song, and it was like magic. // And even crazier is that for some reason dance tracks seemed to just sound better in A444 rather than A432hz.
    A wise Japanese pianist chick I knew (I’m myself am a pianist), she told me: “A432 is Motzartian, and A444hz is more cerebral.
    To this day, for physical healing, I meditate to A432hz, and for mental healing or focus I play tones or drone to A444hz.

      And, I forgot to mention:

      There's a lot of opinions about this. Many people believe that music simply sounds better when a different tuning standard is used, and particularly when A is tuned to 432 Hz instead of the "standard" 440 Hz. Others don't buy into it and stick to the standard 440 Hz tuning. There's no right and wrong here, as with most things in music. :)
