- Bastien never ceases to amaze. Two decades deep, his natural gifts and Cab flips remain top-notch. Appreciate the greatness.

Wasn’t expecting this
What a stoker. Still GREAT. Both double flips tricked me. Fantastic.
What’s up lip
Nobody was
yeah he riped.
Bastien Part in 2021 ?! LEGEND !!!
2002 "Sorry" part, near 20 yars later Is still skate amazing
Legend eh he needed money that's all
@@theboogeronyourchair6003 Troll-ass troll.
@@theboogeronyourchair6003 “ehhh 🥴🤓 he needed money that’s all”. 🤣😂🤣. Nahhh actually I’m 100% positive he gets a regular/steady check from PRIMITIVE and royalties from board sales ya simple fuck. It’s cool to have guesses and assumptions (opinions)... but you have to make that clear 🤷🏻 you have no idea about his financial situation sooo....
If I were you I wouldn’t respond 🤦🏻♂️
@@ianross9738 troll f shooo 🤷🏻
the influence this man and PJ Ladd had on my childhood is unmatched
Preach
Yes sir! Me both here! I still skate strong, do you?! :D
@@horseinthefield Not as strong as I did between 2004 - 2012. Used to be everyday religiously, then I met my wife lol. I still got it though, once a skater always a skater, whether active or not.
Word
Same! Both my favorites growing up!
He disappears for years on end comes from nowhere to drop an absolute BANGER, then returns to the shadows until skateboarding needs him again
It's nice to see a fellow old shredding. Shit's inspirational. Shout out to all the skaters in their 30s.
I'm trying to re-learn kickflips & he's putting this out..😂
good to see this guy still shreding.
If you've never heard of him, look up his older parts kids!! Dude was so a head of his time, definitely a heavy hitter.
The first part I ever saw him in was in an old puzzle video. He must have been like 15. He was so insanely good already
Its insane to imagine a skater not knowing who Bastien is.
@@mohamedghareb5940 I agree since I come from the era. But kids who are currently 16 or 17 prob see him as a NON heavy hitter on primitive 🥺. Dude was the first skater to ever nollie heel back lip AND tail a handrail. Might possibly be the first to kickflip bs nose grind a round rail as well. Legend !! But you can obv see how a 17 year old would be more hyped on miles Silvas or Shane O’Neil ......
@@drewtatasciore7086 I don’t even think he’s in primitive anymore
@@drewtatasciore7086 Folks we’re doing those in the mid 90s.
There would be no Prods or Nyjahs without this dude. The original homie to mix gnar and tech. Facts.
Skateboarding only owes a few people. This man is one of them. 💯
best skateboarding comment ever seen
100
@@Ndycrs 🤣😂🤣😂💀 straight up ✊🏼🥴 Lolo
Never agreed harder with a comment. Flip did him dirty.
"Skateboarding doesn't owe you shit. It owes you wheelbite in the rain" - Jake Phelps
This part was cinematic!! Bastien’s style is something else. He charges shit with a unique energy and focus. In my opinion, he’s one of the few to make double-flips look so good
Salabanzi is such a Legend.. I grow up when he won like every Contest in Europe for a Decade... the Cab flip should be called Salabanzi flip imo!
Salaberial? Salab flip?
We call salabanzi flip when you kickflip and land with your legs crossed
@@fuckmountain that's always been a kickflip pretzel where I'm from.
@@fuckmountain Jep, same. Everyone around me calls it that, originating from Flip Sorry.
What a beast! So sick to see him again!
He’s still got it! I like the name “Not So Sorry”
Everyone knows that
His style and is everything skateboarding still needs, welcome back Sebastian!!!!!
Remember watching this legend skate in the 00's having issues with sponsors and shit, living the life. Salabanzi = True Thrasher
Why he haved problem with sponsors? I wanna know ✌🏽
@@geezuschrist2734 lets say he was a little "wild" back in the days..
@@solidsession he must been really wild, you know because almost all skateboarders are wild when they are young.
@@geezuschrist2734 Hell, most people are pretty wild when they are young. Even those that dont seem like it, many have pretty big skeletons in their closets.
Watch his 9 club interview for the actual facts, not randoms saying he was wild on the internet lol
So good to see him skating again. There was a time I thought he might end up as one of the greatest street skaters in the world.
Feel like skate heads know deep down that the period between Sorry, the Lordz vid, and Really Sorry (and the lost part stuff) is always gonna be in the pantheon of legendary 5-year spans. He absolutely killed it.
Such a bangin part and after so many years too. I used to watched the sorry vids before the sesh waaaay back when. This was sick
Sorry was on loop back then man. Especially Ali's parts too.
Yo you gotta get Bastien on a guitar vid Bea on your channel! He plays blues The crossover between the two of you would be badass to see. Skateboarding and music go hand in hand!
He was my favorite back in 2008 16 years later still a boss
This was incredible. You know what? I feel hyped to go skate as if it was 2003 all over again. I'm buying a board TODAY and getting back into it.
Best feedback we could receive! So stoked to hear that!
The legend, the saint, the kickflip cross legged lander!
Hello fello brother who has been liked by thrasher😁
Lol
Mon idole de jeunesse! Salabanzi rimera toujours avec les meilleurs années skateboard de ma vie! Gros kiff
La même
So sick! Bastien been a favorite for 20 yrs now and he's still killing it!
What a pleasant surprise.
As soon as he did the double flip 0:37 we knew shit was about to go down
;) I thought the same
Double flip are usually wack.
@@artomarto679 Agreed. Not that one though. 🤔👍
If you've seen the dc video, you should've already known. 😄
Same same -- Double BS isn't supposed to look that good man
Brought a tear to my eye. Bastien has always been m favorite. This should have way more views.
So glad you enjoyed it dude!
This is why I'm subbed to thrasher
No one will ever make a big flip front board look better than this dude. Or a full cab flip, or crook back lip for that matter. So many of his tricks are just beyond perfect.
An amazing part for a dude that's been in the game as long as he has. Doubt any of his peers could still skate like that.
Il est encore en forme ^^ Quel légende!
Son style est unique
Des chants chamanique pour une transe
Les images et le montage sont splendides
Bastien has always been ahead of his time. This part is just one of many testaments to it.
Not ahead anymore but still incredible
@@heroicsquirrel3195
There’s pros now that can’t even do what bastien did in flip sorry and really sorry
@@Daniel-dr2jb yeah i know so what?
The spots weren't crazy but Bastian isn't young anymore so it's to be expected, good to see him still shred at a high level
He was the first one doing cab flips on everything , sick cab flips and backside flips
Ishod's always in my head 'CROOK BACK LIP!?' that trick, done by Bastien has a special place in my heart.
This seriously has me tear'd up on so many levels. Growing up watching his part in sorry still has me pushing myself in my 30's.
i was 13 in 98 and went to woodward for two weeks. a week in i met this kid my age who skated like a pro, every day he'd come to my cabin and wake me up sayin "ben! wake up! lets go skate". that kid's name was bastien salabanzi. he taught me how to ollie over a spine and gave me his used 16 deck, i wish i still had it. i still skate and it stokes me out so much that he does too. the world has changed so much but skating is still the coolest shit ever
He was around 18 for his first trip to US
Vans flew him to the Ventura contest when he was 12 in 1998 to represent France at the finals of the Amateur World Championships. Woodward is a couple hours away so I assume they took him there around the same time. (huiledansleuf just read this Michael Burnett ITW instead of talking BS. You're clueless man... www.thrashermagazine.com/articles/bastien-salabanzi-past-present-and-future/). And yes, the world has changed so much but skating is still the coolest shit ever!
Wish you a good and healthy life, Bastien! Would love to see more of you!
Damn this shit is so professional, like the skating, editing, the music fits perfectly.. Crazy good video!
I seriously watched flip sorry 500x when i was a kid . This dude was groundbreaking and amazing then and from what it seems . Still is.
Legend since I was a kid. Always kills it. He was doing double flip boardlslides in comps. Big shout out to Bastien.
Beautiful to see. Better than ever! Respect Sir!
Who remembers this guy kickflip front boarding EVERYTHING when he was a little kid?
So great to see him still ripping
I m french,i Can tell you that on french contests in early 2000 s ,at age 15, he was put on category 18+ everytime and everytime he won,kf fs board was his go- to trick
That ender down the 16 stair in sorry.... not sure if anyone has kick flip bs (edit FS )boarded anything bigger than That. Either way he does it nicer than anyone else
@J. F. lmfao so true
@@MC_1993 it was flip front board* G. Shit was sick !
He would cab flip everthing too! I saw him at the original GVR doing full cab flips on every obstacle in the park. Soooo buck
Skill, power, style, humility. Is Bastien the best to ever do it? I vote yes.
Still one of the best backside flips in the game 🤯
That tone of music reminds me our language "finnish" folk songs so much that first i thought it was finnish
I keep coming back every day since this came out. IT'S SO GOOD! It makes me really happy to see Bastien shred this hard
thanks for everything Bastien. Can't remember how many times I watched "sorry" on VHS to motivate me to achieve more in skateboarding! Pure Legends and big part of skateboarding history!
Every second of that felt right and good.
Years later, nothing's changed. Still killing it! Legend.
This part touched my soul
whoever edited this is a legend as well! perfect cut!
Legend shoud never say sorry, even it's not a "flip sorry". Bastien i'm so glad to see you keep skating.
Bastien was one of the best back in the day, and he still throws down amongst the best! He will always be one of my favorites!
I like his skating even better now. The song and the speed of his skating, the editing and filming... everything is working really well here.
Part just dropped and I already watched it 4 times. Anyone who has been following this man knows his go-to tricks, but its always a damn pleasure to see them. Kyle S. did an excellent job editing it as well. This goes in the favorites instantly.
Thank you so much!
@@ksteneide2 No bruh, thank you!!!! Hope you have more projects on the way. This felt perfectly cinematic. This is a classic already.
Wonderful editing!
Yo ninja hope you’re doing good mentally bro.
Thank you man, I appreciate that!
understatement
You aint kidding Steven this is some of the best editing ever imo w the song and the slams and the reactions Holy shit what a part!
Bring this guy back.
Bastien on some skate for life, fountain of youth shit. 🔥
He and Brandon turner got some from somewhere
First part I see from him but from what I gathered he is made of butter and has a magnet for ledges. Much respect.
This part was beautiful
Wish it was longer
Haaaaaaaaaaa
What did i just see...
Incredible! Bastien is immortal 🔥
Thrasher is the best sk8 community in my opinion. Idk why but it is always so inspiring watching their videos
Thats some serious algorhythm shit right there
Omg thrasher actually liked the comment, that just made my day. Thank you
hey!
What a video. Ticks every box. So good to see a part from him again. He blew my mind when I was about 15 years old. Way ahead of his time.
Always an honour to see him smash it!! 🙏🙏
Loved watching Bastien skate back in the early 00's when I first started skating, good to see he's still killing it! He inspired me a lot in my early days of skating.
He was like chris joslin of the previous generation. He is still going very strong. Amazing skater, thank you!
Bastien was more like the Nyjah of the 2000s - He was a young guy who could do tricks no one else could do back then.
He was the Nyjah Huston minus the "selling out" of my time.
This made me unbelievably happy! He still has that tre flip front board..classic bastien.
1:39-1:58 wow this editing showcased this masterful skating. The song choice and all supporting shots were unreal. Nice work Bastien Salabanzi and Kyle Steneide!
Thank you my brother! I appreciate that!
@@ksteneide2 i kept watching it Man all over again, Bastien is really sick, we all really miss him skate and with this comeback, video & song really made me goosebump . Salute 1000
@@Capybara-z51-w4q I appreciate you man! I knew Bastien still had it in him!
Great to see this legend back!!!
He's at the top of his game, how can it be possible? I'm 38, if I'm not fully loaded I can't do 1/5 of my 20 years old tricks, the guy seems to have like a brand new youth, and I used to share his spots at the same time, he was pretentious but could be allowed to in a way, sacré bastien
Never stop skating that’s why.
All my friends stopped but I kept going never felt better
Damn!! Bastien salabanzi is the goat fr fr 👌💯💯 all his video parts all the way back to flip sorry/really sorry are legendary!! Big dog salute bastien salabanzi changed the game period!! 👌💯💯
Been a fan since the lost tapes. Lets go Bastien.
This is amazing to see. Keep bringing these legends back. This guy put was so far ahead of his time. I hope his foot is doing good.
1:12 that varial flip started 500 miles away from the ledge
Haha.. I watched that four times over in slow mo. He skates fast, pre-pop is almost essential.
Like skate/xl
Wow.... Amazing..Bastein, Bastein Salabanzi !!!The man killing it...made my day..
Best style in skateboarding
Edit: Switch double heel to lion king music gave me goosebumps yo
Every skateboarder needs to see this. Legend. Filmmaking, nostalgia, and of course skating absolutely on point. So hyped to see Bastien again.
I made my non-skater friends watch his “Sorry” part back in the day. Even they were blown away
I stay making my non skate friends watch skate parts! Lol!
This guys old flip parts are the reason I grew up using the big flip in so many of my last clips in my video parts and always loved how stoked people got when I would do them at skateparks. He’ll always be my favorite skater
So amazing. He was incredible in flip days and never lost that spark
Hail to the king!! I miss seeing a part from him for so long, that's insane, his style and bag of trick is always getting better with so much personality in his skating! Top french and overall skate hero, period!
insane, the trick over the bike lock was mental
When I first saw him in Sorry he blew my mind. And he was young and killing it. Awesome.
It's crazy how his style looks exactly the same all these years! Feel like I'm watching his Sorry video part, but in HD haha
Great skateboarding, great editing and music was exhilarating change to regular soundtrack material. Loved every part of this.
One.of the best to ever do it.
A legend! Bastien salabanzi!!!
oh my goodness what a blessing from the OG!
The king, so much respect for Bastien he is one of the greatest of all time!
I can’t even do the beginning stretch at the beginning. That was probably the hardest trick in the video. Reaching past your toes after 30 lol
You up and coming new skaters need to stop stretching to reach the vape and start stretching to reach your toes if you want to continue on a career like this gentleman.
Im 32 and can stretch over to my heels haha just takes consistency
@@heroicsquirrel3195 it burns my hamstrings more than the burn from rolling an ankle lol
"Appreciate the greatness"... Noted!
Bastien and his team killed this part!
That 180 double flip tho
nobody does it better!
I loved it, the catch was seamless, and you see how far he cleared the curb?!? He could have added another half distance again. Too easy for him.
Favorite skater since flip sorry came out! Happy to see he's still killing it!
Obrigado por andar de skate Salabanzi 🙏🏼🛹✨
One of the true legends of skateboarding and one of my heroes. Thanks for this.
Incredible music choice! Thank you bastien for not being trendy and choosing some garbage trap rap track.
Yes!!, also, he looks so good on the board with those sweatpants
Crazy. Top part. If this was supposed to be a primitive part it would be so dope. Still kill
So many years being incredibly exotic on a skateboard! Super saiyan leveled up🙏🏾.. Again! #Salute @BastienSalabanzi
Dislikes are from Jart and Primitive😂
Lmao jart
He’s off primitive?
@BiggDogg 816 didnt last that long...maybe also covid related
Probably. He needs a board co that supports him 120%%%
Réal Bastien showing up again here. So good for the eyes and the heart
the reason why I wanted to learn crooked bs/lip
Best part about this is that Bastien probably single-handedly owns the ten best crook back lips ever done lol
@@stringerbell603 🤓 besttt part about that isss.... if you watch closely (it’s actually pretty obvious) but he does back overcrook to back lip , clear as day 🤷🏻
