I love how this game can really make us connected and in love with a bunch of fictional characters. They gave Link his name because they wanted him to literally link people together and this game really does that.
I finally figured out whose tears they are in the kingdom. They’re Sidon’s as we totally left him behind for Tulin. Tulin has saved me from certain death too many times to count.
I was 5 years old when my parents got me the gamecube. With it were copies of Mario Sunshine, Smash Bros, and Wind Waker. As a dipshit 5yo, the farthest I could get to was dragon roost island. To me, that island was home. I explored it so much, lost to the boss over and over again, and then I would restart to explore the dungeon again. It was the only thing I knew front to back. I walked around that island so much just throwing the bomb flowers around and using the grapple for fun. When I hear this theme, im five years old again, and im throwing bomb flowers around like its nobodys business. It invokes such a nostalgia I cant even properly describe. So when I say that this part of the game ALONE was a 12/10 for me, I mean it sincerely. Every playthrough I do I save Rito for last because it hits hardest
Man I love Dragon Roost and when I first heard it first in botw I was flipping out. The Rito's are the best race especially because birds are awesome. Tulin you are so adorable. Best sage hands down.

For me it's always been Medli. That moment hooked me into a series I've been a lifelong devotee of, and instantly made Medli, and by extension the Rito/Zora, my favorites.
