Absolutely adore your French accent! Here are my thoughts on the words you pronounced:
Comfortable: Pretty good. A bit too much enunciation on the "-table" part of the word. Most English accents would either pronounce it with it sounding like "tuh-ble" or "tih-ble" Personally, I love hearing the way you pronounced it the first time at 2:50 especially the "-for-" part of the word. Super endearing.
Through: Pretty much nailed it except for the "th" sound. I'm assuming French doesn't make that sound in your language, so, yeah. Not much else to do about that but practice. Here's something to keep in mind: it shouldn't be that tough through thorough thought though ;)
Rural: Nailed the pronunciation on that one. I prefer hearing the French way with the rolling 'R', however!
Squirrel: Did much better than the Germans on this word haha. This one depends on if you're thinking a British or American accent. Your pronunciation was more akin to the British way of saying it. The American way leans into the "R" sound so it comes out more like "Skwerl" than "Skweerul"
Thought: Yeah, you already brought up the similarity with "Through". Those words are tough, and there aren't any rules. Just some of those "you have to know it" words. Easiest way I can describe how to pronounce it, say "Thaw" and then add a "t" at the end. How you're supposed to remember that for that word and differentiate it from the others? No clue. Just gotta keep running across it and using it, I guess.
Anxiety: Almost perfect, just the wrong vowel sound in the middle. Should be: "Angz-eye-et-eeh" whereas you were saying "Angz-eeh-et-eeh". You got it correct at the end!
Also, got a lot of tingles at 14:26

The issue for non english speakers is they try to pronounce the "comfort" part of "comfortable".

Wow, thank you so much for such a detailed and thoughtful breakdown! 🥰 This kind of feedback is so helpful
And I’m glad you enjoyed the ‘rolling R’ on ‘rural’-French habits sneak in sometimes! 😅

      @KaiWolf18 День назад +1

@@mariusvanc True, if you're really speaking quickly it can just come out as "Comf-Terble"

you say Thought the same way you would say fort, fort as in a castle or some fortified building, but instead of F you say the Th sound which you already know, does that help/make sense? everything else was about perfect

  • @Nocure92

On the word comfortable, you use a shorter ah sound, and the rest of it quickly. So it doesn't sound like you're saying table, like the furniture object.

Absolutely love your videos Cassy. Fun fact for you but threw and through sound exactly the same. So as long as you know how to say threw, as in "I threw the ball" its exaclty the same sound as through, as in "I looked through my wardrobe". Phonetically its "tha-roo". Not sure what your teacher means about saying "bedder" rather than "better", bedder is more like slang term from where I come from than proper English xxx

And then there's also "Bough" which rhymes with "Cow". English makes no sense, but your pronunciations are good.

Apprendre une langue est difficile. Je sais bien, Il faut qu'on va une pas après une autre. Mais je crois que tu as deux pieds, et, avec un peu d"énergie, ça suffit. Chaque jour il devient mieux, et mieux encore.
    はい、知る。勉強は手間を要する。
Are you studying British or American English? It doesn't really matter, but you mentioned the soft 't' sound, which suggests British. It seems to be common in Europe, though people who learn from movies and TV often absorb a more American style. It seems your current challenges have more to do with vowel sounds, and aome of the nastier consonental blends. You'll get there, I'm sure. You just need to polish a few rough apots. But please don't lose all of the accent; it makes for better ASMR "frissons", and is really quite lovely to listen to.
    じゃあ、またね~ & à bientôt & see you soon!
