I'd love to get to this point where there are different branches of the family and you have aunts, uncles and cousins to visit - it does make things more meaningful! I've only managed to do that once but sadly no longer have that save. What are your tips for sticking with the original founders before achieving a bit of branching in the family?
I played with my original household and founders for such a long time, probably longer than I needed too haha. I maxed out their careers and maxed out different skills for them and that kept it interesting. Working on collections can help too! Completing the garden or catching all the fish or collecting all the elements has helped me stay interested in any certain household. And you could always move out the oldest offspring and play their household a bit and then come back to the original household. Some times it is nice to take a break from one household or another 😊 also, I remember their daughter stayed with them and had their first grandson so I was able to play with the founders and the next generations which was really nice. Hope this helps! 🥰 thanks for watching! 💖
I know this is 6 months late but something I find really helpful is NOT USING THE RANDOMIZE OPTION! I used to randomly choose everything using the dice option and never was happy with the way it came out and would play with them for 3 sim days get bored and delete them, a few weeks ago I made a sim that I created for what I wanted her to be and I've chosen based on what they look like they would be or if I have a story for them planned! And it worked as I'm now on the 5th generation of that sim and have no plans to stop! Sorry if that was confusing 😕
I did the same thing years ago but now I get bored easily and just keep making new families. I will try again soon because I had some serious drama with the in-laws lol.
I have a written list of "curveballs " that can happen to my sims. Ex: Get pregnant, cheat , make enemy, get roommate , ect. Whenever things get dull, I will use a generator to randomly pick out a curveball for me that I have to add to my storyline. This keeps things fresh and exciting !
I have a tip 4 u guys! Basically, if your doing a family roleplay, you can do more fun stuff! Make it realistic, make the sims feel that love! Have them go on holidays, in seasons you can have them celebrate Christmas, Easter, and more! I like to make big families by first: • Making the Grandparents with up to 6 kids (Aunties, Uncles, OG Parent) • Then making another household with the same, but with the OG Parent's spouse! (Aunties and Uncles can be here too!) • Then, moving the Aunties, Uncles, OG Parents into seperate houses that you can make, download from the gallery, move into a premade one. • Then edit the Aunty/Uncle households to add the Spouses and Kids! (Just make the spouse and Aunty/Unce fiance relationship unless you want them already married) • For the kids, you can use the genetics button and edit them too! • Then move the OG Spouse into the OG Parent's house, and once again, edit their relationship! Add their kids too! Hope this helps! Also try and get them into a routine when you can.
I have a lot of game packs and almost all expansion packs...but I haven't fully explored any of those, I also have tried legacies because I love family play but after a few generations I give up on them...but with your tips, especially the ones of dedicating households to specific packs I think I will try that! It sounds like it's fun
Aw I'm happy you are wanting to give a legacy another try! 💖 I hope some of these tips help make it more enjoyable and easier to stick with 😊 Thanks for watching!
Really enjoyed this peek into your families and how you play. Legacy gameplay interests me and I guess I kind of play that way except I started with twelve families and I rotate through them, playing each for one season then moving on to the next. I love to write too so each household has their story recorded. I love playing this way - seeing how their stories intertwine and unfold, and rotating through them keeps it fun and interesting. Thanks for a fun video 💕
That sounds like so much fun!! 😄 Now that my legacy has so many households it feels like I play kind of like that too. Some times if one of my sims has a friend that I really like I'll play their household and build up their story too. 😊 thank you for watching and commenting! 🥰💖
just found this video and it has inspired me so much! i love that you played with different occults/packs but stick to the same legacy. Definitely going to use this! I feel like whenever i start a new pack i make a whole new sim with no backstory and end up having no connection to them and don’t get to enjoy the actual pack because i get bored. Thank you so much!! Currently binging ur legacy to get inspired :))
Aw that makes me so happy that you found inspiration in this video!! 💖 I used to play that way too with every new pack, but I lose interest so quickly. Playing one family for so long has made the sims so much more fun for me! Enjoy the legacy 🥰🥰
I also started off with a Simself legacy (me, my sister, and my parents) and they are the only sims that I keep playing with! And I also play on a longer lifespan since when my sims became adults I kept using cheats to age them down. I play rotationally and also love playing with mods and the few packs I have, it creates a lot of great memories! Thank you for these tips!

I've just started a legacy I never do legacies but so far so good ,I've just completed the 100 baby challenge ugh..I'm a occult player so we'll see loll
Gameplay idea: You start with a girl, a hot head nerd, she loves the popular boy in school and they start dating and she also falls in love with her nemesis and dates them both secretly. She throws a party but both boys comes! They figure out she's dating them both @ the same time and hate her so she makes tantrums in the hall etc. (Inspired by Never Have I Ever) (watch it on Netflix if you want to know the rest of the gameplay idea) Edit 1: I just finished watching all the series and yes I did copy their plot Edit 2: You don't need any packs but it's best if you have high school years, parenthood and any teen related packs.
Love that idea!! 💖I actually have a similar story line going on in my realm of magic/werewolves lps, it is very much twilight inspired 😄 And thanks for the show recommendation! I'll have to check it out 😊
i really enjoyed this video! quick question, i tend to fall into the same pattern when playing a sim: get married and have kids very quickly. it becomes boring, so i tried to slow things down and take my time, but i find that i run out of things to do! or i cant think of something new to freshen my game up. any tips?
Look on the gallery for new lots! I stumbled across a summer camp lot and decided to have my children sims go to summer camp and it opened up a whole new world of gameplay! Think about what your sims like to do, what skills they are good at, what hobbies they have, and try to think of things they can do to build on those hobbies. Also, a big tip is to make your adult sims have close friends and connections outside of your household. You can form clubs to easily keep them close and you can have the other families have kids as well so your families' kids will have friends too. It might be fun to play another household in your save from time to time to keep things fresh and exciting. When the kids get older you can move them out and play their separate households too and do rotational gameplay. I find having more than one household keeps things fresh and I get to choose how I want to pay that day depending on my different households. New mods can keep the game exciting too if you use mods. Here are some ideas I have used in my legacy and on my channel: take the kids to a strawberry patch to pick strawberries and bake with them, go on a camping trip, take just the parents on a romantic getaway, give the family special outfits and take family photos etc.. I think we all get bored from time to time, but I hope some of these ideas help to keep your game exciting 💖

Joy(Cheerful, Outgoing, Good)= Health job Fear(Socially awkward, clumsy, any)= at home job Anger(Hot-Headed,Mean,Self-absorbed)=physical job Sadness(Gloomy,Creative,Loner)= creative job Bing Bong (Goofball, Childish, Outgoing)= Comedian job Teen/Child Riley(Any)= Any Challenge: Experience how all the household helps to raise Riley. See who she becomes. CAN NOT PLAY AS EMOTIONS AT ALL. Can play as Bing Bong or Riley. HAVE FUN! Came up with it in a dream.
Short answer is I age them up when I am bored of their current age and I go in the order of when they were all born in my legacy. Some of my sims stay toddlers for months and some only a day or week. I normally like to make sure the toddlers have all the skills maxed before I age them up. I keep aging off so I can make sure I am in their household when they age up. Also, I age them up based on the ideas/stories I have for them. With the new werewolves pack coming out, I am starting to age up some of my children sims to teens so they can do stuff with that pack. I hope that explains things a bit! 😊
Hi there! I love this video! But in the sims 4 I have a habit of making a sim, getting married, and having a kid. But then I get bored and just delete it. Any tips on how to not?
I would say make sure to give the kid a personality and try to make them unique in some way that really makes them more fun to play with. Children in the sims 4 are not that fun on their own, but if you get creative you might not get as bored. Have the child sim makes friends in school and have little play dates or go out to the park or an arcade. Find hobbies for the child sims and build up their skills and identity. Eventually, maybe you'll take interest in them and want to play them for the next generation. Also, with the original sims you made, make sure they change over time too. Maybe when they become an older adult, they switch career paths or pick up a new hobby or start a knitting club or something 😂 If you change up the original sims a bit as they age then maybe it will feel like you are playing with new sims and not be as boring. I hope these ideas help a bit! 💖
I try to limit the number of kids each household has, that can help. And in almost every generation, I chose one household that decided not to have kids, that also keeps it condensed a bit. As the generations go on, I'm sure it will not be as neat, but I do the best I can to keep it clean. Those are the only tips I can really think of, I hope that helps 😊
I’ve been playing with a family too, how do you balance the different households once the kids grow up and move out? I go back and forth between houses but it can be hard
It is hard! I used to feel bad about playing one household more than other households, but to keep the Sims 4 fun for me, I have to play the households that I am most interested in. It gets harder and harder as the generations go on. I age up my sims in order of when they were born and I at least make sure the toddlers and kids have all the skills I want them to have before I age them up. My advice would be to keep a list/order of when you will age up the different kids and go by that. I play with aging off and I use UI cheats mod to replay seasons over and over again so I can enjoy the seasons/holidays with multiple families. I would just say play the households you enjoy the most to keep you interested in the legacy and check in every now and then with the households you don't find as fun. As you play you might think up fun ideas for the other families or if a new pack/mod comes out that you can incorporate into their life might make them more fun. I age my sims up manually and very slowly so I have enough time to play each household until I'm happy with the skills/aspirations they have etc. It is hard to balance them all but just play the way that is the most fun for you! 💖
The mod I use is no longer available it seems 😔 But there is a way to change the limit of sims per club through the MC Command Center Club Module deaderpool-mccc.com/#/releases When you have it installed, click on any computer and select MC Command Center > MC Clubs > Club Member Count > type in the # you want, it can go up to 50 members. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching 😊
Hi! I was wondering how can you have more than 8 sims in a club ?? I’ve been wanting to have a club for all my family but having a limit of 8 sims in a club is pretty limiting!
Here is the mod I use to have more members in a club! modthesims.info/download.php?t=590737 After you have the 8 max members added, you have to add more sims by asking them in game under the club interactions. Thanks for watching! Let me know if you have any more questions 💖😊

Hi there I've just started my sims legacy. How long do you keep your sims on a certain age before you age them up?? I would really like to know because I have no idea whata a good amount of days
Honestly, I play with them at that age until I get bored and then I will age them up 😂 I keep aging off in my game because my legacy is so large and I like to try to play all the households as much as I can in each age/life stage. Then I go in order of when that generations' kids were born and start aging them up, kind of randomly. Some sims stay toddlers/children for a long time and others are aged up quicker. It can also be affected by new packs coming out. With the new high school pack, I'm rushing to get all my kid sims aged up to teenagers so I can play the new pack with them. It is not a perfect system of aging, but it works for me and when I get bored in my legacy I know it is time to start aging up sims haha
Here are the chalkboards perfectsimslife.tumblr.com/post/176939679396/back-to-school-pose-pack It also has a set of poses with it, but you can just download the chalkboard if you want 😊 There are a lot of options too!
Its sad that those of you with all these mods and cc still get bored with the game. I play on console and have no access to any of the two. But I find myself always having stories for all of my Sims. I own pretty much all packs and kits with the exception of a few, and I download awesome builds from the gallery regularly. This in itself keeps my game very fun. But if you lack creativity and imagination, no.amount of mods or cc will keep your game going.
Mods and cc definitely helps keep the game fun! But I love making up new stories for my sims too. I get bored occasionally and then get excited to play again after a while. I think I get that way with every game though at some point 😊
Sorry for the late reply!! Yes, it is in the gallery. It's called Victorian Farmhouse under my gallery ID: sweetTsimmer It has cc so make sure you enable cc when you search for it 😊
I'd love to get to this point where there are different branches of the family and you have aunts, uncles and cousins to visit - it does make things more meaningful! I played with my original household and founders for such a long time, probably longer than I needed too haha. I maxed out their careers and maxed out different skills for them and that kept it interesting. Working on collections can help too! Completing the garden or catching all the fish or collecting all the elements has helped me stay interested in any certain household. 💖
@@SweetTSimmer thank you so much!! 🙏🏼
I have a question… how do you make your family trees so neat and pretty, like what are your tips…?
The tips are very helpful thank you!
Just a quick question what mod do you use for the more than 8 people in your club?
The mod I use is no longer available it seems 😔 But there is a way to change the limit of sims per club through the MC Command Center Club Module deaderpool-mccc.com/#/releases
When you have it installed, click on any computer and select MC Command Center > MC Clubs > Club Member Count > type in the # you want, it can go up to 50 members. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching 😊
@@SweetTSimmer thank you! Mccc is the best mod ever! There are so many option.
Hi! I was wondering how can you have more than 8 sims in a club ?? I’ve been wanting to have a club for all my family but having a limit of 8 sims in a club is pretty limiting!
Here is the mod I use to have more members in a club! modthesims.info/download.php?t=590737
After you have the 8 max members added, you have to add more sims by asking them in game under the club interactions. Thanks for watching! Let me know if you have any more questions 💖😊
Thanks for the idea i have been playing Sims for years but not like that grate idea have you played the older Sims?
Thank you! 😊 Yes I've played all the older sims games too! I've always loved playing the Sims.

@@SweetTSimmer that's fair enough thank you for your input
It's one of those games where you get burned out, but always return to.
So true 😊
Do you remember the mod that comes with the preschool sign. Around 6:00? 😅🙂
Here are the chalkboards perfectsimslife.tumblr.com/post/176939679396/back-to-school-pose-pack
It also has a set of poses with it, but you can just download the chalkboard if you want 😊 There are a lot of options too!
@@SweetTSimmer thank you!
@@beingclaire_. You're so welcome! 😊
Lol almost every youtuber is making video about "how not to get bored with SIMS 4"
You're not wrong 😂
we must have all mods list
Getting tired of going in just to quit 20min in
I totally understand. Hopefully you can find a way to play that keeps it fun and exciting 😊
9:35 is this house in the gallery?
Sorry for the late reply!! Yes, it is in the gallery. It's called Victorian Farmhouse under my gallery ID: sweetTsimmer
It has cc so make sure you enable cc when you search for it 😊
Is origin id the same as the gallery id?
yes it is the same 💖
