i'd been waiting to see them live for 6 years or so. so happy with the rain that we'd been praying for since we got there but what was with the crowd? such a memorable day. my mates and i had a huge mud fight near the trees at the back after volta finished and during black eyed peas. best festival of my life
I agree with drumsex... If you don't know their music it's kinda hard to apreciate it at the first listening but after you realize that it's one of the best bands of our times. The crowd did'nt realize it obviously. The Mars Volta was one of the two best bands this day with NIN and I had a lot of fun and pleasure watching them. The crowd sucks anyway
Man... I understand why Cedric and Omar ones said that they didn't like to play at festivals becasue the audience is too far away and all the energy is lost in that huge gap between them and the crowd. I saw them at Roskilde Festival and though it was a great technical perfomance they never got the crowd with them and that is a damn shame. They belong at their own concerts with a crowd that apreciate the music and don't just stand there thinking WTF is this?
excuse me this isnt a lame band!!! you need to get used to the volta, if u are not a fan its impossible to like it at the first heard u'll be like "wtf" so dont call them a lame band if you dont know them cuz for your info this band is one of the best bands out there.
I was there and their concert was in my top 3 of the festival.

Lame band! We were at the first row and we didn't hear his voice... And all their songs are just the same. It was like a song of 1 hour
