Good to see you boys back in action and the smell of hockey back in my face. Lessons learned last yr with your call on Hedman. I'm curious what you guys think of K Miller and V Dunn this year?
@@tymmeh2233 that’s fair, I’m looking at it from a fantasy hockey perspective, not real life. If he had better peripherals he would be S tier for me :)
I’ve had Dahlin on my team for years and whilst buffalo had a down year last year 59 points in 80+ games is inexcusable for an early pick. Especially now with Power a year better and Bynum there too there is risk for the captain. He will likely have another 70 point season but I don’t think it’s guaranteed.
Think it might be worth doing the top 40 forwards just to get a more in depth view especially with how unpredictable the top points guys can be early on
Carlson should be D tier, (worse season than everyone on this list, late 30's, dying Caps team). Also Karlsson and Faber should swap, I'd just be very comfortable betting Karlsson picks it up next year after pens had historically bad PP, while Faber will likely stay around 50 points. I'm gladly taking the discount on Karlsson this year, he was drafted in the 100's when he popped for 100 points too, which won't happen but 60-70 is my bet=
@@YoYoYoYoYoYoPeace I like that Carlson lead the league in ATOI. FWIW, what you said about Carlson applies to Erik Karlsson. 30’s,dying Pittsburgh team :P
Too add. As a Leafs fan looking at these Dmen. I don't think Rielly really belongs. Only reason he does is for his PP1 exposure. If that isn't there, he is definitely closer to the 30's for me.
One of the dumbest things I ever did in fantasy was keeping Seider instead of Q Hughes in my keeper league >< I thought he'd hit his offensive stride in a year while being a physical beast ...
@@DadBooom yeah man - seider had a really promising rookie season. He still is a peripherals machine - if he can get PP1 time he should be a top 5-7 defenseman
All those things you said about Hughes you ccould say about Makar, hes nowhere in Hughes league defensively and unlike Makar he didn't depend on the PP to get points. His even strength points were better.
@@MSmith-cp1tz good analysis. I think Makar has more upside on Colorado, I just like their big offensive players more. Makar also had 100 more blocks than Hughes.
Pretty good list that I mostly agree with. My league is H2H categories and I have Hughes swapped with Dahlin. Imo Hughes and Bouchard are top of A tier and very comparable. I think with Ruff as HC, Buffalo will score more ES and on the PP. Seider is great for hits and blocks but I would bet money he doesn't get PP1 time. Best case he splits PP1 with Gustafsson. Last season he only got PP1 time when the PP struggled to score. He was on and off PP1 and will be again.
@@91Pulp love this comment, very valuable insight. Seider has a chance to go 170/200/200 (shots/hits/blocks), which is an insane floor. PP1 would be the cherry on top.
hate to be an annoying Oilers fan, but Bouchard will get within 10 points of Hughes, and will put up average peripherals, not saying Bouchard should be higher, but I think Hughes should be lower.

Fox belongs in the A tier, he's elite in points, PPP, +/- and blocks.
Solid list, nothing that I would change. However I know heiskanen had a slow year last year but I do think he is worth in the B tier.
Jake Sanderson breakout season this year!

Great list, I agree with all! Sens will surprise us tho, I think they will squeeze into the playoffs.
we are back baby
Yeah, interesting about Matheson being omitted, last year he was the must have player by a couple of fantasy channels!
Bro hughes doesn’t need to be a physical defensemen. He’s a super smart player and is one of the best skaters in the league.

Should I drop forsling or ghost for sanderson ? I have letang morrissey and dougie

@@Nine4TV this is close. Probably Dougie
One of my hot takes is E Gustafsson gets PP1. He was Majic with Kane and Debrincat in Chicago a few years ago. This assuming they don't run a split
