the realisation that the voice over is talking about the game and trailer themselves was extremely cool (two people from europe= SIMOGO, US based organisation= ANNAPURNA, they might hire an actor, you won't see his face, "this video is designed to gauge your interest in interpreting patterns", "my personal advice is not to play along with their strange game" etc) one of my favourite trailers in a long time.
Yeah, he also says they may give you unsolicited advice and ask about your memories, than immediately gives you advice and asks if you remember the maze. I didnt even notice till you pointed this out, i feel like this game is gonna be sick.
when i realized what was happening i was SO intrigued. it was so cool.
It's such a rad concept. It reminds me of some 1960's experiments done in psychology that were 'removed' from history. ANd like you said, the fact that the video of the trailer is talking about the game itself is really well done.

The mazes at the end are a substitution cipher, I bet after this one is solved all the other mazes in the trailer will bring a deeper meaning. I'll be curious about the results if anyone decides to try solving it.

@@guybrushmonkey97 The 9 that are flashed up during "remember the maze" can be sorted into a 3*3 grid to form one large maze (first is top left, second is top middle, etc etc) - if you use the same solution as above it reads "RELASDTV?" (the 9th/bottom right maze isn't in the above substitution cipher)
@@Gramorn Assuming this is an anagram, It could mean "LASTDRIVE" if the last letter is "I", but we can't be sure if that's the case. Thanks for letting me know anyway!

@@Jexonite the first phrase is clearly release date. Then you only need to substitute all the letters below

@@Classic_Man_27 Were you able to apply that cipher to anything else in the trailer? I'm trying to figure out if there is any more information to be found
@@Jexonite Single letter word is most likely to be 'a', then I realised 'at' was the only likely two letter word starting with a. I noticed the two four-letter words were identical and were similar to the five letter word, so I probably could have guessed it from there, but instead I found all repeated symbols and narrowed it down more.
I've never solved a code like this without there being more to it, e.g. having some symbols partially decoded, so there was probably a better way to do it

This looks insane. Loved Sayonara Wild Hearts, and this looks really different other than the aesthetic, so can't wait to see what it actually plays like.
Reminds me a lot of their earlier game Device 6, which was pretty cool. Sadly iOS only.
0:48 is a reference to the last strobogrammatic years (i.e. years whose numbers you can rotate and have them be the same number) being 1691, 1961 and 1881, the last partially-obscured number being most likely 6009 - might be puzzles where you'll need to rotate your viewing angle to solve them
0:51 s=4 e=1 n=7 w=8 probably coordinates or an indication to walk a number of screens/paces/steps in each direction, maybe to solve a maze in one of the puzzles
1:18 "youre being led around in a maze of deceptions, think back on when they first tried to contact you" references the first trailer with the first sentence that appears onscreen being "a maze of deceptions", as noted by @tjofthewiredV2 with the trailer/narration referencing itself
I just got this ad on my tv and I immediately got so interested that I watched this in full because this was so different than the ads id usually see

I took a cognitive assessment test earlier today and when it got to the pattern recognition portion, i couldnt stop thinking of this trailer

Looks more like Year Walk than Sayonara Wild Hearts. That's not a bad thing, but certainly unexpected. I've only played those two from Simogo, both excellent.

How do you decode this stuff
@@spanty6139its a substitution cypher, plug in letters for the symbols until words form. 1 letter words have to be I or A so that helps and then theres more stuff like certain double letters that happen and most common words to pop up.

I have something like R E L ? S D ? V ? from 1: 28 to 1:45, do you have an idea what this could mean (I tried to decipher it with the last still that speels Release date revealed at later date)
The one between D and V looks almost identical to the T in the final phrase, the only difference is the bottom part
They can be put together into one 3*3 maze - I think that's the purpose instead of using the substitution done later

@@jameshalkias7182 That, unfortunately, has me stumped. It's not a QR code (would be hard to do with a maze but cool). The most direct solution doesn't seem to spell anything out (nor the inverse of the solution, nor any of the combinations of alt solution paths I have been able to discover so far). Unless.
Unless.
You start in the position that is in the substitution cipher as E - following the solution (any) and using the substitution cipher from the end you end up with:
ERATV?S?VA
Okay - no that doesn't work either.
