- Operations manager at the N3 Toll Concession, Thania Dhoogra, gives an update on the snow storm that has halted traffic on the N3 in Kwazulu-Natal. Some roads there, including Van Reenen's Pass, remain closed to traffic as a safety precaution.
Tune into Newzroom Afrika DStv channel 405 for more.
It's nature good people... nobody thought the storm will be so severe...let's all pray for people who are stuck on the road to get help as soon as possible 🙏🙏🙏
I heard nothing…Masa just hypnotises me😭❤️
To be fair the warnings were inadequate and too late. There are families with kids stuck on the N3 with no food and water. There's hardly news on how serious this is.
No they weren't. They were warning us from last weekend already. The poor emergency services are now blamed for people's selfishness/ignorance. I pray personnel helping are not hurt due to other people's bad choices😢
@@lornameerkat7480just shut up. You don't know other people's lives. You act like everyone is so dumb just to put themselves in danger. That's not true.
And by the way, if thing were going to be so bad, the roads would have been closed and traffic diverted before the disaster occurred not while it occurred.
There was plenty warning. Knew about this going to happen since Monday and it was escalated on Wednesday. Remember, its the weather and forecasts change daily
If there were announcements made before, then why buses like Intercape proceeded sale of tickets and departed from Joburg…there’s more than 4 buses stuck on the road filled with ice and it has been close to 20 hours since the buses left Joburg to their respective destinations. People are too quick to judge people to say you were warned and still proceeded to travel but forget institutions like the Intercape who was also negligent in this matter and is endangering people’s lives. The news couldn’t have spread to every individual who is a passenger today, for example I am a student who has no access to such information as easily as someone at home with access to a tv, but you’re telling me that juristic person like Intercape also fell short in putting necessary measures?
People were warned since Tuesday and yet they still decided to travel. I decide to postpone my trip until the weather clears
Government should have dispatched resources as early as early morning.. Graders & tlbs are there parking in government premises... People are starving out there now!!!
Are you blaming the government? Just trust the weather warnings issued days ago and think for yourself....but nooo
A lot of motorists did not heed the call, because they wanted to experience the snow, some of them could even be snow tourists.
SA NEVER HAS ENOUGH RESOURCES NE
They never hv enough resources at all. Only busy looting that state. We are in shit Jehova
Never, never, never. But always plenty to go around for their own pockets.
Our SA weather warning system it's very abysmal. Cancel all playing programs on every SA channels to give out the warning. Make it a red alert 🚨 ⚠️ 📢 warning system in radio and TV channel
Yes. They should also have emergency services on stand by in those areas and even get them from other regions. Their traffic officers should of had a road block too.
Do better! Tania is too relaxed and blaming people for something caused by a natural disaster.Infact she did not report on any success so far to assist road users.
Pray they all get home safe
Umhlabathi uyakhala kakhulu ngenxa yezinto zenkohlakalo esisenzayo.
Phendukani webakwethu niyeke imisebenzi yobumnyama. Kakhulukazi KZN.
Where is our emergency service because I have never seen them no they're not where to be found.
Traffic officers they were watching us passing Tugela nothing has been done to control traffic our officials are careless.
My dad is stuck here😢
I pray that he stays safe and sound through this stressful situation ✨️🙏
