I have a tuxedo cat called Chloe and she definitely hisses and growls and back chats me when me when I tell her off. She is loving but only when she wants to be. She is sassy, grumpy and mischievous. She is very photogenic though. Chloe definitely has tons of catittude and tuxietude
A quick side note. The soldier feeding a bottle baby was a Marine. I don't know if it was WWII or Korea. He was witness to his momcat and littermates pass in an explosion. The kitten was the sole survivor so he raised the baby. I don't know what became of them but that Marine had a heart of gold.
I had a Tuxedo cat, he passed away three years ago at age 18. I find Tuxies to be very special cats. They are smart, loyal, and always dressed for the occasion. My Tuxie was named Dimitri. If I wasn't feeling well he was right there with me {I did the same for him}. If I would have named him Shadow it would not have been an incorrect name, he followed me everywhere. We were pretty much inseparable. Friends would come over and he would go and sit in front of each visitor until they reached down and petted him, then move on to the next guest. He was truly a lover and not a fighter. He slept with me whether it was nighttime or nap time. I think that the most special thing that he did was whenever I made spaghetti he would get his own plate at the table. I would give him some spaghetti on a plate and he would sit there and wait until I tapped the plate three times with my fork. That was his signal that he could start eating. He really didn't care much for people food, spaghetti was the exception.
I have 5 tuxedo cat's all black and white. They love me to pieces. I have one called Mr Kitty and he's so sophisticated. His baby picture won 1st prize in a photo contest.
We just lost our Maine Coon of 16 years he developed hyperthyroidism, then kidney failure. He fought so hard, but hr was unable to go on 💔😢. Our family have had many cats, but he was (don't mind this pun) but he was more human than human. A tuxedo stray showed up, and I swear he lives through her, in her own way. She was born approximately egen he crossed over 7 months ago. Harley, my first tux, came to us and just gets it! She's extremely loving and yes, very intelligent! I found this video checking out tuxies. She's amazing we never thought we'd get another kitty, but after taking her in from the cold, we're impressed and instantly attached. She's easy to train and so much fun. She softens my hubby's heart with all the stress and pain we've gone through lately. I love her outgoing personality and her independence. I swear when we talk to her, she knows exactly what we're saying, and responds appropriately with her way of talking. She came to us in a time of need unexpectedly. When my first horse passed, I never thought I'd have s connection like that again, but my black and white overo surprised me, just like our new tux, Harley. Yes she's named after Harley Quinn bc of her personality. She was abandoned by people who moved away. Shame on them!!!! I'd definitely suggest a tux for someone! And Maine Coons!
Though I personally think that a "Tuxedo" really should be black and white, I consider all other colored kitties "bicolors", but by this video's standards, my tabby and white kitty Cheese is a Tuxedo and he's an absolute idiot. I love him to death, I would die for this cat, he is my son, but when I put a treat in the palm of my hand, he eats my fingers, unable to find the treat. He's a moron. Where is his Tuxedo smarts???
I had 2 tuxedo cats, brothers, but i did loose 1 when he was 6 months old or so. He went out 1 day and never came home. His brother, "Buddy" passed away when he was 16.5 yrs. old. Anyway, will state the video is right, tuxedo cats are very smart. "Buddy" learned what window was my bedroom window, when i had a bedroom in the basement. When i still let him out, he would come home at 3 or 4 am and bang on the window and meow. When i would wake up, he would see my shadow get out of bed through the window and run to the door and wait for me to open it to let him in. I had friends that lived in an apartment down the street, when they visited and went home, "Buddy" would walk them home then come back home for bed himself. I went on a trip for the weekend, left him with people to cat sit, he got away 15 mins. after i left him. He was probably 10 km. from home and now lost, when i got back on Sunday night, I was excited to go pick him up, then found out he been missing for days. That night, i was sitting on the loveseat at home, very upset that "Buddy" was missing, he had never been to that part of town before. At 10 pm. or so, i heard banging on the storm door, got up and opened it and OMG, "Buddy" was sitting right there, he came across town till he was home.. He jumped in my arms, i was so excited, we cuddled on the loveseat and he fell/slept all night in my arms. When he was passing away, friends came over to help, when they arrived, "Buddy" died with-in 15 mins. or so. I found out later, my friends had been saying to others that they felt "Buddy" was waiting for them to show up before passing. I could go on and on about him. Also, people use to refer to "Buddy" as being part human. When he passed, "In my Head" by Jason Durulo had come out and that song is all "Buddy". I miss him alot but my "Little Man" now, is another great companion.
I have a tuxedo by accident. He is a stray. His owner came to see about him. Than just gave up on him. I renamed him to Ramblin Boi. I feed him and another stray. The second stray is Aladdin. Than we have an inside orange cat. He is my baby, Jack E Pooh. I named him Jack after Jack McFarland and Jack Tripper.
My tuxedo Oreo was brought by my girl Minnie We planned on transitioning them to inside when it got cooler, but poor oreo got poisoned and we took him to ER vet 2 times and kept him inside. He escaped and hid. We found him outside and caught him and kept him in until he recovered. We took the girl in as well. Its just too dangerous outside. We cat proofed our house, bought 3 litter boxes, scratching posts and toys and closed up the cat door. In a day they were using the litter boxes and are so amazing. They are so good and sweet and the dogs accepted them as part of the pack. I am so happy they are safe.
I have an actual tuxedo cat. (His chest is white, his paws are white and everything else is black). I've never had a cat before him..his name is Nookem short for Shnookem...he's definitely a character. He's spoiled rotten smh.
