just bought a rebel t7 had an external flash could not understand why the third party inexpensive flash didnt work after research found out the hot shoe is different - now having to go research and see if i can get an expensive one - what do you think? i hate wasting new things and boy canon making me jump through hoops
bought it today 60 bucks best buys works not too confusing - too many upcoming jobs to not have a flash now i have an inexpensive other ONN external flash and a canon rebel T3 not sure what to do with that stuff?
unfortunately I don't think so. but, your phone's camera flash should do the trick! I think there are apps you can download too that make your flash brighter
Worked on my Sony a7iii I had bought this speed flash years ago for my canon short story had a gig couple days ago now that I shoot off of a Sony a7iii didn’t think the flash was compatible..works just fine..now to find out if I can set up a wireless trigger?
Video doesn’t make sense if you’re not showing detail of how the flash works and settings needed to make it actually work, you need to show a step by step details
I literally just got mine in the mail and forgot to get batteries too 😅🤦🏽♂️ I’ll have to wait till the morning to pick sum up and figure this flash out lol
hmm this one is primarily functioned by a connection between the camera body and the flash. Do you mean how to get the on camera flash to communicate with external flash set ups?
Was hoping you would see if the TTL works well off camera. I been working on some off camera flash trying to learn lighting direction and it fires great for the first 10-20 pictures at 1/64 and then all of a sudden it stops firing on the first shot and then by the second shot it doesn’t sync with my camera anymore. I sit about 10-15 sec between shots and still no fire or bad sync. And I’m only shooting st 1/200 or 1/160 shutter. Very frustrating. E-TTL was not consistent and would operate. When I tried to access it through the camera it said not compatible. I’m using a Neewer brand triggers every time I hit test fire on it the light goes off EVERY time but with camera ...inconsistent
@@MatthewTriola It's working with my Sony A7rii but BARELY not sure what the problem is. I bought this as a travel piece but my Godox destroys this thing (so far)
Hey Cody I hope you're doing well and hopefully you've found an answer by now, but sorry for the late response. I myself haven't found a clear answer but my gut wants to say it is. In future reviews I'll make sure to touch on compatibility. -Matt
Sweet, I want one! Love the music. ..it fits the cool product.
So it won't work at all with Sony or... it just doesn't work well? I'm asking because someone gifted me this unit without knowing I use Sony THANKS
It does work with Sony.

If i got the canon m50 do i need a flash trigger to use wirelessly
would this work with a sony a6600?
I noticed on the box it said "only at Best Buy".
Hi, I can use DC-04 4 Channel Wireless Remote Studio Flash Sync Trigger Receiver+Transmitter C for Sunpak Df3600u+ 6d mark 2?
Were u able to pair it toca trigger?
Can this work on the latest IPhones and point and shoot cameras?

Why is no one talking about the 4 double A battery. And why they don't tell you that it does not come with the sale of the flash?
You didn't help on how to use it
make sure to subscribe!
Could you possibly do a video on how to use/change the different settings? Please :)
did you ever make a video for this?
Worked on my Sony a7iii

I use Sony too and it (sort of) works, but the flash isn't very bright - maybe I need to adjust the settings or?
Mine hasn’t been working correctly, hopefully I can get it to work before a wedding next weekend
what a waste. You said NOTHING about the flash and it's obvious you don't know much about cameras
thank you! Make sure to subscribe to help out :)
Is this flash compatible for mirrorless cameras as well? I heard you mentioned dslr cameras
yes. I have one for my canon m50. it works.
I have an m50 too and I didn't know it was compatible! thanks for spreading the word.
Great flash for the $60 price tag!

Meynard Blake thanks for the feedback. I’ll consider it next time!

Dude it legit didn’t work 😩
The flash drained 4 batteries 2 times in one day... I'm not sure if mine is defective or if it's normal
hmmm. How often are you using it? I feel like if it's being used quite frequently each day you'll drain the batteries fast.
I think you should turn the power of the to near 1/128.
holy shit im getting this tomorrow! so lucky i watched a video about it! thank you so much!
Lost my manual and can’t figure out how to set up off camera flash.

Yes, how do u get it to wirelessly communicate?
@@stranahan07 did you fix it?
How to get the blue light?. My don't light up
Hi there, sometimes when I use my SUNPAK DF flash,my pictures are becoming dack , sometimes the flash doesn't Pop up.where do I go wrong?
most likely you didn't do anything and it was just the camera flash itself misfiring
Any followup on the flash, since you've had it for a while?
Manual mode is easy to use, and the flash works well with my external flash set up!
Works with with my sony a7iii just fine
You reaction funny to it flashing LOL.
Just bought it lol
Me too let’s see if he explains how to work it
i have a canon 4000d can this work on it
LOL
doesn't the head swivel? I have an overpriced canon speedlite, best thing about it is you can bounce the flash from different directions.
yes it goes up and down. you can adjust the amount you want it to swivel easily as well.
I forgot my batteries 🔋 too 😂❤️
I have a samsung nx30
Good video!
Does my camera need to be set on manual? Or can it be used on automatic for it to work?
Pretty sure it can work in auto!
I tried setting the flash up to 1/1 and almost burned the battery terminals.
I'm sorry to hear that! Sounds frustrating to me. How has the flash been these past few months? Hope all is well.

Could it be that your Neewer triggers don't support TTL? You might have to work in Manual mode only.

Can you set this flash as an optical slave with another brand of flash?
yes
This may be dumb but is it only compatible with canon and Nikon ?
I just looked it up and I believe that it is universal. I checked on Best Buy but I would doublecheck just to be safe. Hope this helps!
@@MatthewTriola appreciate it man
A1Bokeh - no problem
Yes this was dumb
How do I set it up to 5d mark iii
I don’t own a 5d, but I would assume it’s the same way as the 6d since it’s a similar canon interface :)
Does the plastic piece for the flash snap on to it?
Michael Studio Films yup!
@@MatthewTriola It is a very tight fit. I had to almost pull the sides on the plastic
loved this review! amazing job!

MatthewTriola Late or never I have to say thank you. I took the chance and bought it. Got a square soft box, S shape bracket, and stand. I love it
So does it work on mirrorless cameras?

Nocturnal Shutters my pleasure!
U made this video for 4 year olds? Lawd we know the basics if we are looking for a flash

MatthewTriola it certainly helped a beginner like me so thank you
Sam Fisher I didn’t know the basics........
Guess im not stoopid enough 🤷🏿
